I think Sonic and Knuckles is the best Sonic game of all time! They just did everything right. The level design is fantastic and the speeds consistent, the bosses are cool. I really hope this comes to XBLA

In 1994 I was 14. my mom had got me a sega genesis and it came with sonic 2. sonic 2 was a ok game but when sonic 3 and knuckles came out, it was like sonic came to life. the colors, levels, and music were perfect. til this day sonic 3 & Knuckles still kicks ass.

I first played Sonic & Knuckles on Sonic Mega Collection for the GameCube. I sold SMC by mistake, but at least I have my Genesis with me (I own Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Sonic 3D Blast, Gunstar Heroes, and the Genesis 6-Pak cartridge, quite a few, eh?).

By the way, Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the best Sonic game of all time.

It's a bit easier playing Knuckles(I beat the whole game Playing knuckles) I'm stuck on 1 level w/ Sonic there's a machine and sonic can be upside down on the celing and there's an elevator and this thing around the machine moves where you move I can't figure out how to beat the level. The levels are a bit different with both Sonic/Knuckles. This game is allot of fun 1 of the best sonic games and love the music and the best part of the game is there isn't any water levels.

This one still remains as my fav Sonic of all times. I mean 12 zones..come on, nothin till this day Sonic wise can still beat this one. It'd be nice if they'd do another 2D Sonic for consoles. And if sold really well, that'd be a wake-up for Sonic Team who nowadays seem to be lacking in terms of good Sonic games. I really hope they can get back on the ball some time soon.

Even after 13+ years of playing this game, I have yet to find anything that SonicTeam made that was more fun than this. I even loved hacking it because of the myriad of effects that were possible. Glitches in this game were interesting... whereas in other games you're annoyed by them. The concept of HyperSonic/HyperKnuckles/Super­Tails was never used again after this... which was sad. This was indeed one of Sega's greatest games. :)
