  • Whicol2 Yeah Clapton is known for using the woman tone. Mike Bloomfield was one of the first using it in blues in the '60s. It says that in the Mike Bloomfield story on youtube.

  • Classic jam, top visuals!

  • @gumby909 Tks 4 your comment..glad ye like it

    Have a nice day

    Vanu.

  • I never heard anyone as pure nor such yearning expressed musically as in those early solo's by Eric.

  • @DaDa2Phlux Taylor was younger than Clapton and has the same influences. Clapton was also an influence on Taylor. That's the main difference.

  • HEY.before this gets out of hand,Eric is a true pioneer but his style is itself a blend of his impressions of Big Bill Broonzy, BB King & Buddy Guy Robert Johnson, most noticeably..Eric's own life story is what makes the" kindling " catch fire.So give the young gun Taylor credit for not only being a blues purist but tipping his hat to the legendary figure

  • @DaDa2Phlux

yes indeed--and did clapton ever sound so, so very good?

  • plenty of clapton licks here from Steppin' out. He was great for 18 years old tho'

  • Not to mention "borrowing" Claptons trademark "woman tone" around 1:50

  • @Whicol2 Aw no...really? Jesus wouldn't you credit it...some people. But thankyou for noticing it....that would have just bummed out my entire week if Taylor had got away with that.....Christ alive! Some people will try anything.

  • KICKASS VIDEO V !

  • Tks T.

    Greets.
