  • any idea on how to fix this =/ i know this a late post i got the xentec kit and mine flickers..don't know what the problem is

  • @willyyhoo

Cheap ballast it's just the ballast. Get a new set that's good quality and you should be fine.

  • I have the answer for everyone that has this problem. it dont mater what car you have them in. i bought 3 of these kits for 2 different cars. all of them flickered. the ballast are DC, they made them in DC to cheap out. they are actually dangerous to run and will fuck up and burn up eventually.

  • go to ddmtuning, I have never had a problem with my hids from them.

  • Problem is with ballast DC mallast is mostly fickering, AC i ok every time.

  • where did you get these the whole halo set

  • Yep, I just installed my xentec kit from ebay and even with a wire harness it does this. I also asked for 5000k bulbs and they looked to be at least 8000k. Not happy :(

  • @rrose862005

Sorry to hear that man. I just did a relfash and the problems I had before are all gone.

  • @MMafiaV Im glad it worked out for you. I ordered a kit from DDM earlier this week, should be here by friday I hope. Its weird though, I have another ebay kit in a different car, and it has been working flawlessly for 3 years now. I thought all HID Kits were the same, particularly the ebay kits, just with different stickers on the ballasts. Eh, oh well. I have heard nothing but good about DDM, so hopefully it works out.

  • @rrose862005

DDM is great. I have DDM HID kits on my fog lights and they work perfectly.

  • @rrose862005 DDM Tuning are awesome i have a slim kit and no problems at all i didnt even run a relay harness and the lights work perfectly DDM tuning also has great quality the ballasts are really well made and the bulbs are high quality with true color temp matching of what you order.

  • @rrose862005 Attach 470uf 35V Capacitors to positive and negative of the input wires should fix your problem... Good Luck

  • @rrose862005 i just got the same thing today and my left lift kinda flickers a little when its on unlike my right. I wish i knew what was up.

  • Xentec do not come with a relay harness which is a must for a HID kit. You can purchase those kit on eBay for less than $10 and wire it up which will solve your problem.

  • @esfanneon daam i jus bought the same brand hid kit shit sucks worked for like ten min then started flickering and now wont stay on how can i fix this

  • @faces1nr yeah xentec sux as always.

  • dont buy xentec its a very cheap brand i know ebay sells them for $40 shipped but they flicker an last for about a week only DO NOT BUY XENTEC

  • The fix for this is reflashing the ECU. That's what worked for me.

  • i have a similar problem with my xentecs on my magnum.

I purchased mine from ebay. Did you ever figure out a fix for your problem? Replace bulb/ballast? wiring?

I tried a relay and canbus and nothing changed. This has been very frustrating for me.

  • @LLroomtempJ

Replied to your message. Hope that helps.

  • i dont see any flickering, maybe its just the camera. but usually when you see a flicker its always the ballast. if the bulb lights up then the bulb is okay. but 80% of the time the ballast goes bad.

  • i dont see flickering...

  • I have the same problem! mine are also Xentec from eBay. I did buy a relay harness before installing them, but I still get the flickering problem...

I just got mine today and installed, tomorrow I will buy a resistor and add that to my HID relay. hopefully that'll work

  • @aznflipper I got Xentec 1000k too. put 'em on my solara, I get the rapid flickering too? any spec. brand for the capacitor?

  • @TrueGamer1987

I got a new kit as well from the the seller and now no flicker, but the first bulbs he sent were 6000K and the new bulbs are 8000K. The 8000K are too dark and i can't really see so I'm switching the bulbs and see if they flicker.

  • @TrueGamer1987 i used a 470µF 35V capacitor

  • @aznflipper I got Xentec 1000k too. put 'em on my solara, I get the rapid flickering too? any spec. brand for the capacitor?
