  • Victorious brought me here!

  • Lisa taught me about the coriolis effect.

  • that clearly has an americanised readjustment of the flow attached to the cistern

  • Hey Mark, did you tap your foot for a blow job?

  • Thats the same with UK toilets.

  • to bad i forgot which way my toilet flushes

  • When my brother went over to the U.S. To see our cousins, the first thing said to him was "go flush the toilet" "why?" he replied "because you'll go 'what the fuck!?'"

  • LISA WAS WRONG!!!!!!!

  • HOW THE HELL CAN THIS GOT SO MANY VIEWS !??!

  • i came from the simpsons o_o

  • This guy must have a degree in shit.

  • WHAT ABOUT THE SWIRLY ONES THOUGH.

  • @TheSonorama21, I was about to ask the same question.

  • sorry, but hes visiting his parents for a few days in australia and hes got an australian accent?

  • i was watching minecraft things how the hell did i get here?

  • I dunno why this reminds me of jarate :P

  • enjoy the loo???

  • gay, just run ur fosset and see

  • so.. if you have a saggy butt you get sprayed.. nice toilet

  • @NexusGames089 WTF?

  • enjoy what?

  • how did i get here?

  • i dont even know which way my toilet US toilet swirls and i lived here my whole life, I should check on that next time

  • i was watching sexy and i know it know im watching toliets?

  • Woops, I missclicked and ended up here!

  • I got from some barman not knowing what a coffee is to this???

  • Does anyone know, if you had an American toilet there, would it swirl the other way? That would make sense being in the southern hemisphere or am I asking the stupidest question? Really, I am curious.

  • @oldfart387 The Coriollis effect which is the effect that makes hurricanes turn in either direction depending on the hemisphere is negligible in a small system like this. Actually, toilets usually force water with certain rotation and in order to help clean the bowl. In conclusion, both toilets with flush in the same way in either emisphere

  • @jl3125465 Thank you! Interesting.

  • ..... ok 1. i was watching EPL highlights.. then some cod online gameplay :D and NOW Im watching australian toilets.......... ''

  • Now the question is do toilets in New Zealand flush the wrong way?

  • why the hell did this show up in my recommendations?? WTF...

  • Do it to a sink and pull the plug

  • lol. That is funny... XD

  • One thing this video showed me- Australian toilets are sure as hell CLEANER than US toilets...

  • why is this in my recommended videos...?

  • hell i live in europe and i dont even remember which way my toilet flushes

  • I need one of those toilets that don't get water splashing up my arse when I shit.

    ....

    Yep.....

This video is almost as random as this comment.

    CHOW!

  • @dragonangel6 That's why when I flush it I stand up(x

  • LOL, thanks!

  • i just wasted 41 seconds of my life on this video dat didnt make sense

  • Try the same thing on a drain. The water will swirl down in the opposite direction as the Northern Hemisphere, because of the Earth's magnetic poles. This is not something that needs to be questioned. >.>

  • @1RavynSkye

Whoa there. It is not because of the earths magnetic poles. It is because of the direction the earth rotates and the effect known as coriolis.

  • @obeeone420 I forgot you can't read sarcasm. I was being goofy/silly.

  • Hey Mark, do you still keep in touch with the Funky Bunch?

  • clap...clap...clap...clap...clap

  • Water swirls in the direction that it does because of toilet design. The Coriolis Effect is WAY too small to be noticeable in something the size of a toilet.

If you take a large pool of water (like 10 feet in diameter, 2 feet deep) and let water drip slowly out of it, it takes over an hour before the spinning is noticeable.

  • there isn't enough water to swirl

  • it's a fake,,,, it's real!!!!!

  • What if he's just misleading us? What if there's some kind of code amongst Aussies not to tell of the secretes of plumbing? And if you do, Wolverine jumps out, and says "Hey Bub, don't fuck with the land down under!

  • @SoleMan117 I think we need to send you to 'The Island', you know too much.

  • @JaredKelso123 You bastards'll never take me alive!

  • @SoleMan117 A big rubber ball will stop you!

  • how did i get from world biggest tits to this?

  • @Crazydog102 Freaking hell did you really need to insult me when I asked a question?

  • waauw, i really need to know that O.O

  • okay.. what place are you here now?

  • BART SIMPSON 4EVER!!!

    Made in From: ''BRAZIL''

  • i live in argentina and i dont give a damn about which way toilets flush¡¡¡¡¡¡i mean why is it so fuckin important

  • simpsons brought me here

  • ... how the heck did I get from coffee to this?

  • @Sizacu "C-O-..."

    "B-E-..."

...in other news, holy crap that's one unswirling toilet.

  • @Sizacu How did I get from babies biting eachother to this?

  • @dogchansey One of the seven mysteries of the world ಠ_ಠ

  • @Sizacu

    You mean beer?

  • @Sizacu hey I ended up in emo kid doing silent interviews... I started with classic car restoration. I propose we try to get to our desired video starting from rick rolled not using the search bar and see how long it takes you. My best time is 4:56... Yah computer class wasn't very interesting that day...

  • @Sizacu HOW DID I GET FROM KITTENS TO THIS

  • @ONCful Youtube works is a mysterious way, I see...

  • @Sizacu indeed it does

  • i live in aust too

  • i live in aust

  • Tho the Evolute another Australian toilet flushes completely different to any type of toilet .. sorry i tend to know too much o.o

  • NOOOOO ! it is a classical demonstration of the Coriolis acceleration due to rotating earth! it is not that trivial video!!!!!

  • Gay. What about a normal toilet?

  • What if you slap a normal toilet up in there?

  • the question is "Do Australian toilets really swirl the other way?"

and it is answerable by yes or no, and what is the answer

  • How do they flush in Rand McNally?

  • the video starts when you press 4

  • Ok...so you're toilet isn't the type that fills up. Doesn't answer the bleeping question does it? does it? does it?

  • i learned this in science

  • Yea thats just like in New Zealand. But really, who actually cares? Its amazing what extremes humans go to, to find out something small like this. lawl

  • Just to clarify this matter once and for all. It is a common misconception that water on one side of the planet swirls in the opposiite direction to water on the other side of the planet. The simple truth is that it can go either way, on either side of the world. It is purely and simply down to the gravitational forcefield and Newtons 4th law of physics as to which way, and when, it will swirl. It also can be influenced by the weather systems in ANY part of the world, and even by the moon.

  • @22worzel But the direction of water swirl is most commonly due to the shape of the bowl. Purely and simply.

  • Boo! I call shenanigans. This is just a guy with an Aussie accent on the EQUATOR! : )

  • This one goes straight down but i've seen bowl ones that DO go the other way, its hilarious

  • in Germany the water flush straight down without any swirl

  • ok, then which way do toilets flush in new zealand?

  • I liked the part with the toilet and the water

  • How did iget here ? Anywaaaaays , this is a win !! ;-)

  • Why am I watching this?? What's wrong with me?

  • @MsMisha81 way 2 make me second guess my mental psycie

  • i was just watching models on runways...how the hell did i end up here watching this?!!

  • I was looking at circulator pumps for radiant heating!?

  • I was fucking looking at old school turbocharger F1 cars and i got here....WTF!!!!!!!!

  • @WarPigs463 LOL ME TOO

  • Mark, you didn't show the other toilet differences. Like the two flushing buttons, and the fact that the toilet is in a closet all by itself. :D

  • dude. it doesnt flush the other way you noob.! its flushing from the top and the bottom.!!! not the other fuc*king way.!!! god almighty.!! :/

  • YOur toilet is totally broken obviously

OH wait how did I get here ..

  • TOILET!

  • In Europe u get water squirted up your azzhole!

    (im not in Europe)

  • in germany the toilets dont swirl too!

  • The Coriolis effect is so weak in toilets that it won't have any effect. It's the direction of the jets and shape of the bowl that determines which way the water will swirl. You can find toilets in any country that swirl both ways.

  • same answer for scotland :D ive lived here for 11 years (since i was 2 years old) and ive never seen a swirling toilet

  • i couldnt see what direction it was flushing bc of the toilet paper in the way D:

  • @IlikepurpleXP You stupid fuck open your ears.

  • @VernonG187 'open' my 'ears'..? Really? And you're calling ME a stupid fuck xD

  • @IlikepurpleXP if u were listening, they didnt flush at all, so yeah, open ur fucking ears.

  • @lindsayloomovies another smart one. Turn on your fucking brain.

  • @IlikepurpleXP sure, did u see the pic? read the comments... they dont swirl. the tissue there made no difference.

  • ummmmmm.....................

  • Wash down toilets like this are great. They don't clog as easily as the US siphonic ones and they don't necessarily use more water either.

  • nine hundred dollary doos? im goin to my membah of parliament. lol.

  • in the uk it flushes down then in the middle it flushes counter-clockwise mostly but the majority of the time it just depends on the toilets make

  • That is an underachieving toilet. BTW, I know how to masturbate in a toilet. My friend Butterflyeffect taught me how to do it.

  • Wonder if you try to courtesy flush if the water hits your nads?

  • wtf

  • Is it so important that Australian toilets flush the other way? It doesnt matter me which direction they flush, i just wanna my crap out of the toilet :P

  • its so different...cant believe austrailian toilets flush the wrong way

  • You took all the fun out of it!!!

  • The truth is that water does behave differently on opposite sides of the equator. It's called the Coriolis effect and is caused because the earth is spinning. It is very weak though, and hard to observe. So there! :)

  • @thepoet82 Finally, someone with an answer that is not stupid.

  • ugly douche

  • i dont get it, why do australian toilets flush the other way? is it to do with the ampnaphere or something?

  • i love astralians!!! they are cool (and weird)

  • wow ugly douche

  • It's funny seeing the comments here because there is one fundamental difference between Yank dunnies and Aussie ones: the Yanks keep their bowls full where we have a sistern to hold the water, therefore: no swirl in Australia! How do you think they dump nerd's heads in the water in Seppo films?

  • Haha he punked

  • Yeah i remember when i was kid after watching the simpsons episode bart vs. australia, i was like.. uhh, our toilets don't swirl. Water comes from 12 o clock and 6 o clock.

If I do go to america, i should see whether the toilets does swirl

  • that's funny, my first thought after clicking this video was that simpons episode about it too!

  • ur a retard...

  • they dont fuckin swirl clockwise or anti-clockwise!!! they splash

  • Hmm. its simple, due to the western and southern hemisphere's centripetular force, conduct of gravity, and 3rd law of physics, the Coriolis effect seems to take place between the 2 hemispheres in order to secure the water in a counter-clockwise motion.

  • The Coriolis effect is far too tiny and insignificant to have any affect on small bodies of water such as a bathroom drain.

  • Perhaps, but if u use Pi in order to assume the Coriolis effect of a circular motion, then divide the quotient of the radius divided by the perpendicular adequate force of conduct progressed through the south hemisphere, which supplies the formula of i before e except after c.

  • Touche.

  • You sot! You 'ad us all going!

    "I soiled my armor!"

  • What a CRAP video! Who really gives a f**k anyway.

  • Well..........apparently you do

  • @DRISSERY Why click on the video if you really don't give a f**k?

  • that was a little anticlimatic

  • Just curious! Still a load of CRAP anyway!

  • Why the hell are there so many toilet flushing videos on youtube? More importantly how did i get here!?!

  • @funk192 dude i know the feeling

  • @funk192 lol ya i know i went from jacob get off the xbox to cats to toilets?

  • @funk192 Because toilets are awesome. :D

  • @funk192 Thats what I'm asking myself.

  • DAMB U SIMPSONS!!!!!

  • you idiot if you acually want to test this fill a circular sink with water and then pull the plug it will swirl different than in the usa

  • true, but the simpsons said it happened, but our (australias) toilets r more water efficient and dont swirl. bart shouldve asked for the kid to drain his sink tho, then its be true.

  • so all australian toilets are exactly the same besides the episode starts with bart and lisa betting on which way the water will go and lisa says it will always go one one in the north and another in the south meaning that they arent talking about toilets.

  • i dont get where ur coming from or what u mean. but in the episode it suggested that toilets swirl in australia, but they dont. but the water DOES run the other way down a drain here

  • @macattac3 No, it doesn't.

  • @flurple23 You're calling someone an idiot and then go on to say something idiotic? lol. Direction of water draining depends on the design of the drain not on the hemisphere.

  • whoa whoa whoa, calm down now. u might be right tho. only one of my sinks spins the water, but the coriolis effect works. seriously whatrs ur problem goin onto random comments and telling people they're idiots. fuck u

  • @mackiemachine3 Did I call you an idiot? No. So fuck you.

  • actually mackiemachine3 is my other account..so yeah, u did. and whats ur problem. take a chill pill

  • @macattac3 I didn't call anyone an idiot ....so no I didn't. Me take the chill pill? You're the one telling ppl "fuck u."

  • yer im gonna stop this here

  • ok your wrong anyone with basic scientific knowledge knows that it does change with the north/south hemisphere. also has anyone ever told you that you are an abosolute youtube hater.

  • Don't tell ppl that they are wrong about basic science when you don't know shit about it yourself. If you think I am wrong dont take it from me:

    snopes[dot]com/science/coriolis.asp

    weatherimagery[dot]com/blog/water-spin-down-drain/

I don't hate I anyone. Just bcuz I correct fallacies and misconceptions you call me a hater?

  • I think if your really concerned about which way your shit spins as it goes down the toilet then you really need to get out and get a hobby lol.

  • I'm kind of devastated right now.

  • altho aussie toilets dont swirl, water spins opposite ways on opposite sides of the hemisphere.

  • @shadowmannnnn No it doesnt....why do so many ppl believe in this myth?

  • : / sigh.... Came to see the Ausi swirl... left disappointed.

  • WTF!@#$ That is soooo disappointing..

  • do u wanna see the sink drain the other way?

  • @macattac3 Water spin depends on the design of the system and drain, NOT whether it is in the northern or southern hemisphere.

  • toilet paper for EFFECT LOL!

    the man is a joker

  • I'm moving to Ausralia. What a disappointment.. I wanted to see those toilets swirling the opposite way.

  • @charlesvan13 Our toilets have an up and a down. The bowls are shorter (real issue for males), the flush is weaker, but the pipes are bigger.

  • @charlesvan13 if you got a toilet that does swirl it will work. but the majority of toilets in australia don't swirl.

  • Well i'm satisfied.....

  • our toilets dont swirl

im aussie... and not one toilet has swirled.
