  • Our Symphonic Band just played this today at one of the Midwest Clinic Sessions in front of Julie Giroux. It was amazing!

  • oh man i have to audition to see if i get into concert or symphonic band and i have to play an excerpt of this

  • i love this piece =)

we played this at IMEA district IX festival

  • kansas 56A state band played this same piece in march of 09....and you guys did an excellent job at it....the part where you guys sped up i feel is a little above the tempo that julie had intended it to go....out clinician is a very good friend of hers and she wrote this piece for him, if you want some background fun facts, this piece was written for the gentle for $5 every year she writes a piece for $1 and this gentleman that wanted this piece handed her a 5 and said give me one 5 times better

  • well she seemed to think it was a good tempo when she listened to it before our performance, but really I guess its how you interpret it.

  • good stuff. maybe not so fast in the section where it picks up; too frantic but it evens out a little towards the end to where it should be. great for a high school band, no doubt! nothing can beat a real taiko drum though...

  • our wind ensemble is playing this piece, and we're taking it to large group contest. woot!

  • We're playing this piece for our Wind Symphony, and we're taking it to CBA state.

    I plays the contra-bass clarinet.

    horray ^.^
