Is this amp good for metal i mean the heavy heavy metal like metalcore and that kinda stuff because i have a fender mustang I amp and im looking for more effects and disortion and more gain so im just wondering if this would be good for that, not for band preformances just for practice at home. thanks :)
How would this amp would when used with stomp boxes and analog pedals?
Like in a case where distortion or overdrive comes only from the pedals and the amp is set at a totally clean setting....Would there be a clash between analog processing of the pedals and the digital modelling of the amp?

Ive been playin' guitar for 7 years, mainly metal and in drop tunings, my long time baby 15 watt Marshall amp finally croaked and I was sceptical on buying any other amp because I thought I would not be able to recreate my sound, I was wrong, I tested it in the store and was blown away, Ive played many amps, This is a beast!
I've had it for a year and a half, It's near perfect but i can't seem to get the type of overdrive i want without tube scream which is almost too much. Tube scream makes everything sound effing awesome, but if a fly flies past my strings while I'm playing, then it would screw up my sounds

@NomadRonin The amp models are analog taking advantage of Peavey's Transtube technology, and so are most of the stompboxes. The rack effects are the ones that are digital.

Does the 15 watt have the same touch sensitivity as the Transtube Rage and Blazers made in Mississippi in the mid 90's? I had a Blazer 158 made in '96, and I loved that amp! So sorry I sold it. just curious. Cool vid!
I have to say yes. The response is fantastic. I mean it, it really feels and sounds like a "real" amp. It doesn't feel or sound "fake" or processed. The distortion is real analog distortion, btw. I have sold a bunch of these from the vid. Everyone's been thrilled.
Good deal! A friend of mine just got the 120W head from me and the 75W combo for his other band. His guitarist (one of those guys that thinks highly of himself and is a total gear snob) is jealous.
I'm happier with the power of the tube version for sure. The tone isn't that different, more the feel. The tube seems more responsive. As for the 60W combo vs the 120W head, the combo is open back. The head gives you the option of open or closed back cabinets. You select the cab. I've heard it through the closed cab and it's ballsy, a lot more low end, but I haven't listened through an open cab.
I bought the 60W tube 1X12 combo for myself. It's great, And we JUST got the 120W Heads yesterday. Both special orders. They all sound great. And I have to say, my amp DOES NOT sound like fake processing! These DO NOT sound like Line 6 amps, The tone is great!
hey i noticed the peavey solo amp next to your vypyr, which is the amp i have. how does the vypyr compare to the solo? i know the vypyr has a bunch of effects, but does the vypyr sound that much better overall?
Absolutely! The solo amplifies the sound. But the tone isn't very good at all. I think it sounds muffled clean and the distortion is just fuzzy. In fact, we've decided that once we've sold the solos out, we will no longer stock them. We will use our Vypyr 15 as the intro amp. I will do a demo comparing the 2 and post it in the next couple of days.

The distortion is analog, yes. And yeah, this amp rapes the line 6 easily. Line 6 designed the software, but Peavey designed the amp. Line 6 should have had peavey...or any real amp maker, design theirs!

Isn't this an analog amp? I thought the effects were digital but the amp models were analog.
