Really sublime. There is a transcendental quality to his harmionies. The No. 3 is a gem!

When Bruckner gets into his adagios, there is such rare beauty there, to my taste anyway. Yes, the Wagner haters instigated a riot at the performance of this work. Brahms discribed Bruckner's music as a swindle which would be forgotten in a few years. Time has proved Brahms wrong on that one.

The audience went crazy and screamed at the composer at the premier of this symphony. Half of them even left the auditorium. Amazing. It is such a beautiful work!

Yes, I was right. This beautiful performance is from 1967, by Jochum.

The 4 movements` times(20:05, 15:20, 7:16, 10:37) here match exactly with Eugen Jochum`s Bavarian Orchestra`s DG performance.
