  • perfect pay card perfect park perfect pay kiosk... lol

  • DOA, imagine the lineups in rush hours, I dont wanna wait an hour for my car after I finish work...

  • what if you forget something in your car (like your child) just as it goes down

  • Imagine when it breaks down and your car is stuck underground....DOH!

  • whelp! there goes my valet job

  • This is great, because I could totally leave my kids in the car, and nobody would know!

  • Why does it look like they cut the video at 2:55 so you don't see the guys mirror get ripped off?

  • imagine the line to get your car out after a basketball game or something

  • Yea, and I'd be the one guy that the system would break on and drop my car, plummeting to the bottom of the whole lift thing and destroying it, or the whole system would freeze up and no one would be able to get their cars until it's fixed... a couple of weeks later. Something like that. Technology is great, but I just don't trust ideas like this until we can make technology less prone to freezing/breaking. :3

  • one park/retrieval every 5 mins? yeh this will catch on

  • imagine if you forgot your kids lol..

  • i bet the line of people all waiting for there car after work will be insane!!!

  • What happens when there is a power outage O_o?

  • OOPS, I FORGOT MY PHONE......turns around and heads back to car.... DOOOHHHHH

  • people will just for u to gett out before they mug u.....

  • what if you lose your confirmation card?

  • ...and about 9,000 times the resources of ur standard parking space.

  • So what if you forget something in the car?

  • with in seconds ya all 600 of them

  • shit, forgot my bag, ok i will w8 10 more min',....

  • That shit would cause so much congestion with multiple people wanting to park / retrieve at once.

  • dear future...

  • What do you mean the garage is broke? I need to get home!

  • 3:11 didnt see that coming

  • The time it takes is okay if only 1 person was there @ per time. But if there was even 3 or 4 people..... this shit would take quite awhile.

  • it'll be that 1 dumbass who will jump in the hole while the car goes down...

  • @bigcam415SF or jump back in the car while its going down

  • @bigcam415SF heeeeelllll yeaaa i was thinking the same thing

  • Meanwhile 5 years later in 2012, still no sign of such a thing.

  • @ghostraper There is one in Dubai

  • I need one. But to put myself into it and wait for someone to find me. XD

  • There is just so much that can go wrong with this.

  • Jay Leno needs one of these for his awesome garage.

  • I'd like to see them try that crap with my bronco... lifted 6" on 35" tires...

  • Here's some solutions to the flaws:

My car is too big? They probably make the garages in plus sizes.

What if there's a power outage? Solar panels and backup generators.

What if its raining? Have a roof over it.

What if I lost the card? Have a security booth where a guard retrieves your car.

There's a big line? This system is good for residential areas but not practical in other places. It seems to take about 90 sec, faster than a long gas station line.

  • and what if theres multiple people? wait in line?

  • Imagine if there were one of these near a sports venue. Everyone will show up at the same time and leave at the same time.

  • rich man's garage. Yes please!

  • vaia pila de cola se vai formar esperando a que salla o coche...

  • thats so cool lets have these ones in Toronto

  • It would suck if it rains sooooooo hard and you hve to wait for the car :o

  • ride a bike?

  • thats gonna be annoying when 20 people want to leave at the same time

  • The lines to get into one of those would be huge!

  • receive your car. Fourth flaw, this is more of a lie that they said, they said that it takes up the size of 2 parking spots, their not saying about the depth of it. That technically is bigger than 2 parking spots. Final flaw, what if someone was to lose their card or what ever you need to receive your car. Well your out of luck on getting your car back.

  • @kpmclenegan he says its foot print, that means the bit you see, not what you cant :)

  • Now a few flaws I thought of. The first flaw I saw was the vehicle size. Their are plenty of trucks that are not even lifted that are taller than that space and you can honestly believe you can fit a Hummer or a vehicle like that in their. Second flaw, the amount of electricity it will use, will it really make up for the fee their charging for the parking spot(notice they never say how much you pay). Third flaw (ties in with the second), What if their were power outages, you won't be able to

  • would if you loose your perfect park card

  • what happens in rush hour when there are 50 cars waiting to park?

  • those side mirrors gonna be gone

  • Image what will happen when lift will break :D

  • what happens if there is a power outage, or someone is trying to kill you how are you going to drive off if you have to wait on that thing

  • Do you have a home version?

  • @JeremyGSU No joke, and you know some yahoo will leave their kid in there.

  • i was waiting for something to clip the mirrors

  • What if I wanted to park my motorcycle? wouldn't it fall over when its being moved?

  • i wonder if my lifted 2500 would fit in there.

  • @troyatl68 Try it when you get one

  • This wouldn't be practical. Only one person can use it at a time, there would be huge line ups when traffic is heavy

  • Now do a Hummer.

  • If you don't park straight, i'll bet you'll fuck up the system, and HEAR your car going down! Hmm, paintjob maybe...

  • what the hell! this is the future.. but I wish if only you can make it a bit faster, i don't wanna wait 10 minutes to get my car back

  • Holy electric bill, Batman!

  • thats a small car and there is bugger all clearance for it in all directions

  • Comment removed

  • Lol sounds like "the rock" is talking.

  • You'd hate to have a car that's too wide Oops bye-bye mirrors >_<

  • @Slasher52000 It would be easy to incorporate a laser measuring system - it could tell you in seconds if your car is too wide, tall or long.

  • @MrMrrossh I know it'll just be funny if they let it happen before they implement it. I know Japan use these things I wonder if they've had that issue.

  • Comment removed

  • it would suck if your car is at the bottom

  • What about trucks? That Ford Focus looks like it barely made it down. A truck/SUVs mirrors would get ripped off and it seems low inside the garage slots.

  • Now which way do you want to go for cutting down auto theft? A nice machine, or give up the automobile and take the bus? It's frustrating that you pull into the parking lot, you see the place you want to park and someone else grabs it at the last minute. Public transit and taxicabs are the only two alternatives to this machine and parking hassles.

  • @Streetcar1743 You don't make sense. "Now wouldn't you want people to leave your car alone and break into it?" How would they leave it alone and break into it at the same time? It call viper alarm system. Your not the worlds savior, chill out with all the preaching dr phil.

  • what about my lifted silverado....

  • 3:25 ...And SMACK go the mirrors on anything but a Focus

  • Hahaha. You can stay in the car with a girlfriend and once its park. BAM!

  • wha happen if you lost the card and your car in the garage???

  • Most of you are psychics and should have your fantasylands ripped down and replaced with corporations. tammyz10 seems to be the only one telling the truth. It's a way to help cut down on auto theft while the attendent is at the office.

  • The ford focus doesn't even fit...I have a F350!

  • @ThePlowBoss LIES!!! TELL THE TRUTH!!! A Ford F350 is a truck. A Ford Focus is much smaller and it will fit!!!

  • @Streetcar1743 don't excite yourself to much

  • @ThePlowBoss I am all for the truth. Now wouldn't you want people to leave your car alone and break into it? Would like to see pollution levels cut? Yes, this is a machine that would park your car rather than a human. These corporations are out there to make parking easier. All you do is walk up, pay your parking fee just like you do at a regular parking garage. As long as we have the dependency and the love affair with the automobile, then we need machines like this.

  • what about my dodge ram 2500 with tow mirrors?

  • WHAT IF A FLOOD RAIN FLOODS THE PARKING?

WHAT HAPPENS IF AN EARTHQUAKE STRUCTS? WOULD THE CAR BE SAFE?

  • what if everyone wanted to leave at the same time?

  • and a power cut your car stays down there .lol

  • what?

  • leave the car in neutral, just to sue them when it falls. lol

  • nice, check out parking in tokyo though...

  • DO YOU ACCEPT FOOD STAMPS???

  • 2 questions!

1-how much a park like that will cost...

2-how much will we pay per use of the park..

    3-there are 4 questions

4-who dont have car can park is bicicle?

  • At 3.30 the guy is wearing a purple shirt. Once he inserts the card in the thing, the purple shirt becomes a black pullover!

  • what if the power goes out?

  • @TKeck im sure they'll have back up generators

  • I think my Jeep is too wide and too tall.. And what if you forgot something in it? Or were in a hurry..? xD

  • Anything with the word perfect has to be wrong. And what if that machine malfunctions like technology always then nobody can get there car back.

  • No fear from being mugged or car stolen? All they have to do is wait behind a bush and just as you casually walk to your car and open the door - BAM! they strike. Might just as well take a risk and park in a normal parking lot!!

  • Those above ground parking garages aren't hideous. Just think of all the things that can go wrong with all this automated gadgetry. Besides, I'm wary of anything with the word 'perfect' in it LOL!!!

On the other hand, people will say what they have to, to turn a profit...

  • @soulshower Me to

  • @TheGreensnake1234 and Earthquake? jaah i dont Like this ;)

  • What if it floods??? they better have good pumps...

  • This make it easier to steal valuables from cars. All you need to do is get someone else to send your car down with you inside of it, cover the cameras within the silo, break into the cars, and have the person on the surface send the car back up. Breaking into 72 cars has never been as easy.

  • Turn in dem mirrors.

  • some idiot is gonna leave their kids in the car.

  • @MrBradsevans Rubbish.

  • @MrBradsevans some might do it on purpose ;)

  • id love it if i made my wife put in the ticket and i stayed in the car

  • crap, a little parked to the right, and you are going to lose a mirror in that stall...

  • This system is also used by the volkswagen factory in germany, real great

  • This wasnt stolen from japan >_>

  • How about alarm system will it activate when the car moves down there ?

  • What if ur car or truck has mirrors are to wide lol

  • So who's responsible for getting you home when the perfect park has a malfunction and can't return your car?

  • I wish therewas one in every city of usa!

  • sweet!! now we can wait in line to park

  • Yeah, what about Excursions, ECT.

  • 1:20 not safe i suppose xD

  • I'd be that guy who stays in the car during parking. Hehe...

  • @Habiat23 xD

  • Within seconds my ass!

  • which city does not have a complicated underground infrastructure that would interfere with a 100 foot hole in the ground? Couldn't do this in New York City... would interfere with water mains, gas mains, subways, sewers. Also, the video does not show how this would work in a blizzard.

  • kinda reminds me of IRobot parking

  • Their slogan should be: "Park now, get home next year!"

  • It uses a lot more electricity than your average surface car park I bet.

  • I want to do that and stay in my car.

  • Wow what a good system. But I wonder what happens when you want to part your Rolls Royce and your Sister her Smart Car? There was barely a knats wing clearance between the moors and the machinery here. Perhaps another reason why you should be able to fold your mirrors against the window?

But, very very cool, and leaves all the ground-space for similar units or homes offices etc.

    Great stuff.

    Take care,

    mrbluenun

  • @EarWax0

I would hope it would be "stupid proof" for those with limited cognitive skills.

  • looks cheap

  • Òbama do the voice?

  • What is to keep someone from staying in the car and getting out once the car is parked. Them being free to roam inside looting what they want?

Also, say you have these near some sort of stadium or sports event. Sure there will most likely be several, but imagine the wait time. Having to wait in line to retrieve your vehicle is not appealing.

  • @klevmoree Video surveillance

  • @klevmoree Hello, just to say with regard to your first remark:

"What is to keep someone from staying in the car and getting out once the car is parked. Them being free to roam inside looting what they want"?

Quite how anyone is going to break into one of these cars, so tightly parked in its own 'box', when there is barely any room for the mirrors defeats me.

    Take care,

    mrbluenun

  • @klevmoree there is surveillance camera to make sure no-one goes around underground trying to break into the cars...

  • next time they would simply hang your car, soon as they invented solid fuel

  • lol oh man what about rush hour?? this perfect park won't go anywhere at all.

  • This seems new, but they've had this in Korea for atleast 7 years

  • this works great in europe and japan, usa we love mini-vans and big trucks

  • ahh.....so my Lamborghini can fit in that space right.. :(

  • Would the snow / ice and road salt mess up the machinery ?

  • @elvisjonesus cleaver question but I dont know....

  • @elvisjonesus that would assume that it is all made out of ferrous metals but im still guessing it has a shelf life before any maintenance will be needed same as every bit of machinery

  • what about a power cut

  • Untill it breaks then your car is stuck down there till it gets fixed.

  • what if there is a really long line? who yields to who when people want to get their cars in and out?

  • @thephotoperson i would think when it takes a car down, if someone wants theres up it rings it up on its way... only logicall.....

  • slow as fuck.

  • there is NO WAY IN HELL id park my baby in there

  • Japan has had this type of parking garages for a while now.

  • what happens of this malfunctions???

  • @legendarysim Then tons of people complain and a guy comes to fix it. Just like everything else that malfunctions.

  • What is there was a power outage. Traditional one, walak up they drive it down. Done. This. Power outage, wait till the next morning. CRAP!

  • Know how when you go to get chips from a vending machines and it gets stuck. :P

  • Yes naturally there is an answer. Do not buy a useless auto as a SUV

  • good but slow

  • this isnt that special the vw dealership in sttutgart is very famous for already achieving this

  • A wide car like the old american muscle fit inside of PerfectPark

  • it does look like it will take forever that be suck if u late for something important lol

  • This will just make American automakers want to make their cars even smaller...I don't want a small compact truck just so it can stack.

  • what if one of the cars catches on fire?

  • notice your auto insurance!!!!! LoL

  • I wonder if they have a version of the infrastructure designed for Canadian winters...?

  • the only thing that bugs me about this system is the part where the person has to get out of thier car and there isn't really any security. what if someone is there at night waiting to ambush you?

  • dont worrie there not putting them in the ghetto

  • haha! yes you're right but you can never be too secure!....

  • impracticable and stupid, these will never be a success in any situation where people need to be at places on time!

  • it seems like this takes forever

  • what if the power went out... no car for u!

  • I wonder if you have ot pay for the extra time it takes to park and then deliver your car. This thing is WAY too slow for a busy city garage. People would be lined up for blocks waiting for their cars, like the luggage carousel at Heathrow.

  • Back up generator.

  • and what happenens when u stuck under that garage?

  • gee, a little more left and you can kiss ur side mirror goodbye, those arent cheap either, that would suck

  • I would hope that the system has a sensor to tell you if part of the car is jutting out to much.

  • your car is safe but what if someone you know rides down in their car and then steals from all teh cars in there.

  • that would be difficult, there is not enough room to really open the door. unless you parked the car backwards, and got out of the hatch or something..
