Bullshit LOL, another pathetical american movie. Vorenus lost his feet figthing against Goulls and could kick ass no more =)). Pullo appears to have been attached to a legion commanded by Gaius Antonius. In 48 BC, Antonius was blockaded on an island and forced to surrender; Pullo was apparently responsible for most of his soldiers switching sides to fight for Pompey. Later that year, he is recorded defending Pompey's camp in Greece from Caesar's attack. Not so kicking ass in real life.

In any event, Roman history after the rise of Augustus wasn't really interesting enough (IMO) to sustain a show like this. Just lots of war, decadence, and treachery.

I'm perfectly happy to see Rome bow out on a high note. It's painful to see a great show stay on after it jumps the shark (Sopranos, anyone?).
