ummmm they do shed! I own one and she sheds more than plane cat and because it's so short it's like peach fuzz and it's everywhere! I love her to death but they DO SHED
It is a lie that they don't shed. I have a male rex right now that sheds. Although it is not as much as domestic short hairs they do shed. Not to mention it is not the hair that that people are allergic to but rather the dander which is dried spit from when they groom themselves.
I love these cats, I have had them since I was three years old. Unfortunately, I must say, they do shed a little bit. Especially where they sleep you will find gobs of it, but it really isn't too severe. The allergy part is somewhat true however. My father is allergic to cats and can stand them, however my grandfather is severely allergic to cats and can't stand them. I think it depends on the person.
well.. my old cat (that still lives with my mom and that Im now alergic too sadly) is a cornish rex. He does shed hair! So two false messages in the video. They aren't alergy-proof and they can shed. But he is very old, 17 years this summer, so the shedding can be because of that.
I think this video is misleading, I breed Cornish Rex and they can cause severe allergic reactions because most cat allergies are from their saliva which is deposited on the fur from cleaning. So they are not hypo-allergenic. They may be easier on some people as very little hair will be floating around. Remember Rex's are very clean and 'lick' their bodies head to toe on a daily basis. So they can still cause very bad allergies. Food for thought
I love cats I can not get enough, no I am not a hoarder! I have a Devon Rex.. Marina and an Oriental Shorthair.. Sasha both the loves of my life check them out . I want a point a Devon or a Cornish Rex or a Siamese. Going to cat shows and searching for a light point lilac or espresso. Love em love em. Check out our Kittys
The blue and white kitten in this video was my beloved Ellie, she passed away on May 18th, 2008. She was my best friend. I will miss her forever. If anyone knows how I can save this video to my computer, please let me know.

I am seriously considering adopting a Cornish Rex - this video is definately persuading me - sounds like a great pet, plus the non-shedding is a plus

I just realized that we had a batch of cornish rex kittens O_O
