  • In my clarinet music there are cues for when there's no Soprano Sax, heh. Gorgeous gorgeous solo!! <333.

  • That's a clarinet in the beginning. Don't stress over you guys...not ever band has a soprano sax sitting around. Well played clarinet :)

  • i played 2nd Trumpet ( iwas 3rd Chair) on this in my Honor band last year. it was the greates piece ever!!!!!!

  • Wow... beautiful. Problem is, My ORchestra teacher transcribed this song for strings, and I keep getting lost! Still though, wonderful piece

  • The clarinet solo in the beginning sounds very good, even if intended for soprano sax. My band is practicing this peice and i'll probably have to play the english horn part.

  • it is originally a soprano saxaphone in the beginning, but we are making it an oboe. we are playing this song at school... and im playing the english horn part. i love it!!!!

  • actually it's supposed to be a soprano sax solo in the beginning, it gives the piece a unique feel. especially in the beginning with the quartet(?) with the E.Horn. love this- great recording!

  • Epic clarinet solo in the beginning! Love the song. Reminds me of the chronicles of narnia.

  • i am playing this for concert and marching band and i really likes it. can;t wait to play it... YAY... I get 1st chair alto saxaphone,

  • its really easy, we played it at my 8th grade concert yesterday

  • it's not about it being easy or not.

it's level rhythmically might not be hard, but what makes this song so incredible is the dynamics and just the feel of the song.

  • This piece for marching band? Really? That's odd, this is more of a concert band piece. Eh...

  • its a bit faster than intended, but a nice clarinet solo in the beginning. the part at 1:25 is really well played.

  • Actually, it is an oboe solo.

  • meant to be soprano sax.

sounds more like a bflat clarinet to me.

the obe comes in around measure... 17?

    cant remember.

  • @haha169 Umm I hear a clarinet. Unless it's supposed to be played by an oboe and this recording has a clarinet instead?

  • @JPSaxMan This sounds like a clarinet...the version I'm familiar with is written for Soprano Saxophone.

  • @SuicideCamel yea same here I love this song and it get stuck in my head a lot and I wind up humming it durring lunch...

  • @haha169 Actually its suppose to be a Soprano sax solo but in this recording its a clarinet, but the alternate is suppose to be an oboe playing it, but i guess they wanted the clarinet to play this one

  • @haha169 Isn't it a Sax?
