The clarinet solo in the beginning sounds very good, even if intended for soprano sax. My band is practicing this peice and i'll probably have to play the english horn part.
it is originally a soprano saxaphone in the beginning, but we are making it an oboe. we are playing this song at school... and im playing the english horn part. i love it!!!!
actually it's supposed to be a soprano sax solo in the beginning, it gives the piece a unique feel. especially in the beginning with the quartet(?) with the E.Horn. love this- great recording!
@haha169 Actually its suppose to be a Soprano sax solo but in this recording its a clarinet, but the alternate is suppose to be an oboe playing it, but i guess they wanted the clarinet to play this one
In my clarinet music there are cues for when there's no Soprano Sax, heh. Gorgeous gorgeous solo!! <333.

its really easy, we played it at my 8th grade concert yesterday

it's not about it being easy or not.
it's level rhythmically might not be hard, but what makes this song so incredible is the dynamics and just the feel of the song.

This piece for marching band? Really? That's odd, this is more of a concert band piece. Eh...

its a bit faster than intended, but a nice clarinet solo in the beginning. the part at 1:25 is really well played.

@haha169 Umm I hear a clarinet. Unless it's supposed to be played by an oboe and this recording has a clarinet instead?
