To me, these hedgehog swimming videos always seem like the animal is just desperate to get out the water. I could be wrong.

@bcbcbcbudsbudsbuds My hedgehog loves to go swimming, I have a platform in my bath so he can rest if he likes and when I go to take him out he jumps back in haha :) I suppose its just the animals personal feelings, same with dogs (some love swimming some hate it)

I think it's important to add that before any leotard decides to throw their hedgie in some water in hopes that it will swim that most hedgies HATE water. Yes, some of them do love it, but sometimes what you will consider as swimming is actually them trying to survive. There are risks if you are to try this. They can receive an URI, attempt hibernation later, or drown.

That being said, beautiful hedgie and very very very adorable video :D

Actually, the hedgehogs can swim perfectly, you just have to stay with them and make sure that water's temperature is warm

thats cruel i myself have a hedgehog, you should be bathing him/her in a sink filled with inch deep water, and clean them with a soft toothbrush.
