I understand many different things factor in an NBA Slam Dunk Contest (originality, showmanship, skill-set, etc.) but I believed this then and still believe this now: Andre Iguodala was the true Slam Dunk Champion, not Nate Robinson.

I think both players are incredibly gifted but Iggy was a straight up beast and I remember thinking "Why in the world is Nate holding the trophy and not Andre?"
