Most definitely Carol Kaye. Hampton Hawes regular trio at that time played often at the Great American Mujsic Hall in San Francisco and it was Spider Webb on drums and Carol Kaye on bass.
This record has a lot of "arranging and production" by David Axelrod in an attempt to make it more "commercial" but the groove of the core trio is what makes it work.
