I think her background vocalist shouldnt sing with her if u notice when they're not present (lik in here Indiana State Fair Performance) she does well. But in all of the televise performances they make her sound off key because they're either not singing in her register..out singing her or trying to lead the vocals.especially the short headed brunette.
It's sadd...since her divorce, she's lost herself. I think she's trying to figure it out...who she really is!! I think when she was with Nick she knew herself. But since her divorce she's lost a part of who she is...and is trying to find it.
I think that she´s doing an excellent Work...and in comparation with other singers...she´s being honestly....she saids that she doesn´t matter make money....she wanna sing anything that make she feel sure and happy....and she´s doing... Really I Wanna Hear Jessica Sing a Gospel Song....as other artist....
I am not a particular fan of Jessica Simpson, but one has to admit she has a voice - even though Ihave heard better performances. but who said that it would be easy to make a come-back, but she is doing it - I hope she is keeping it going and will succeed.

WHY does she makes all those ridiculous faces?? If you just don't look at her when she sings...it isn't all that bad. Well, until she tries her very best to make sure everyone knows she sounds "country." Jess, just PRONUNCIATE the words. There's no need to add that fake twang, it's soooooooo annoying.
