  • he has so beautiful fingers!

  • Paul is amazing, already a legend!

  • What a fantastic, melodic song. Beautiful vocal, I could never sing that high. Not as good as the Tug of War version. But still fantastic.

  • 2:43 weird gay guy lol

  • It's never too dark to be cool :-)

    Great sunglasses, Ringo!

  • Funny to watch Ringo play such a large kit!

  • Paul is so ridiculously talanted and beautiful and this song just gets me everytime. It's gorgeous. And I LOVE that the little "oooo" he does at the end here is the same melody as the line "making each day of the year" from Here, There and Everywhere.

  • OMFG so when i was 10 we sung this song at the opera house in sydney and I JUST FOUND OUT IT WAS PAUL MCCARTNEY. *dies*

  • did you take a formatted (pan and scan) version and try to stretch it to wide screen?

  • This is a wonderful effort to make songs be as sounding beaultiful as possible: "Wanderlust" is one in this rank. Otherwise, Paul shows up in a great performance. I appreciate this tune of elevation in this special song. His voice is also perfect. My best to Sir George Martin as well as Ringo in this post. All are in perfect harmony.

  • what's with the fucked up timing, what happened to this video

  • One of the few (very few) reasons to watch GMRTBS is this bit.

What atavic trues hides behind this song ?!! Allways true and allways alive covered by a layer of times and times. Paul found this true , Just the genious of an artist can reach some trues. Sorry about my english !!!

  • damn in the beginning i thought these were a woman's hands. they are too beautiful to be a man's hands.

  • great song, great voice....

  • I love this song. It's so gentle. It's good to see Ringo and Paul together. Love them ♥

  • great music, thank you.

  • Absolutely brillant song. Nice that Paul and Ringo remain friends to this day.

  • Paul said in an interview that the greatest songwriter in the world was and always will be IRVING BERLIN .. who wrote White Christmas and God Bless America

  • Good God! How many songs has this man done, i find 10 more every day!

  • I see Paul, Ringo and George Martin. Now we just need our Johnny Boy, Georgie Pordgy and good ole Eppy.

  • @Sodahpop96 Geoff Emerick is also there. He was the engineer on Revolver, Pepper, MMT, and Abbey Road. He also engineered Wings' Band On The Run, and Paul's 3 solo albums with George Martin (Tug of War, Pipes of Peace and Broad Street).

  • Paul McCartney is the most beautiful man on the planet. (and his smile is so adorable <3<3)

  • Love this one. I get a bit of Wanderlust myself, comes with the job. Awesome to see Sir George Martin in there.

@giligara30492 yes, that is Here There and Everywhere. It's from the film Give My Regards To Broadstreet. Macca redid HT&E as well as Eleanor Rigby and Yesterday for the film and soundtrack.

Check it out if you have the opportunity. On the soundtrack, there's a piece called Eleanor's Dream that Sir Paul wrote which lead to him writing the symphonic and orchestral stuff later.

  • 3:34-3:37 - A bit of "Here, There and Everywhere"!

  • his hands are so beautiful. Every time they catch me by surprise, and take my breath away...just his hands! and then I see everything else and i can't help being a little bit in love with him.

  • @kgy55555 right on

  • Wanderlust was a ship Paul sailed on- thats the inspiration- amazing isn't it? Paul is inspired by everything and makes the ordinary extraordinary with his music

  • Always loved this album and the movie. It's ashame it wasn't well received by the press. I won't get into the John/Paul comparison thing as I love them both for what they are, but I've always felt Paul was treated unfairly, John having been treated as something of a martyr in the years followng his murder and this still fresh - around '82-'84 - so I think this contributed. Wanderlust has always been a favorite. Tug of War, Broadstreet. Pipes of Peace - all fantastic.

  • @derekec i agree. the movie was great. i was a kid when it came out but i watched it religiously. paul has always been my favorite. i love the others as well. but paul's music to me, was something we all could relate too. he is brilliant. i love him.

  • nice to see ringo playin with him

  • This is music.

  • oh god at the beginning when i only saw the hands on the piano i thought they were a chick's ones !! paul's got nice hands.. XD

  • I would love to hear this one in concert sometime.

  • my father show me this song when i was a litle boy, now my father is dead, but his soul is there whit me, my dear father!!!! this song i dedicate to you, i hope you can her this lovely song!!!!!!!

  • stately, and Gilbert and Sullivanesque - especially the middle. I've always loved this track, and am surprised it's not better known.

English Tea is more or less in the same vein, and I'm crazy about that one too,

  • The song that will be played at my funeral.

  • 1:28 Ringo's brain dies, in action.

    and he wakes up happy

    Hey! im playing Drums! :D

  • Wonder if he'll ever work with Ringo again.

  • He does vocals and Bass on Ringo's new album that came out this month called "Y not"

  • The most talented man on this world. I have spent my whole life listening to Pauls magical voice. Thank you Paul your music helps me when I feel lost in life.

  • @DanielEvitt YES, he is the most talented man in the world. I'm glad Im not alone in thinking this.

  • Paul is frickn musical genius

  • Pasan los años y aun me sigue impresionando..¡Fabuloso!

  • I love this track. Throw me a line.

  • It's on the 'Tug of War' and 'Give My Regards to Broad Street' albums. (If that's what you meant).

  • how come the video is sped up?

  • the genius of it all

  • What all?

  • the combination of writing, playing, singing and once again with Ringo on drums , still playing together after all this time and all they have done before, ...I suppose you just had to grow up with these guys to feel it

  • I love this song. The movie (GMRTBS), however, was dreadful and very boring!!

  • the more i read about the beatles, the more i appreciate paul and all of his efforts to make the very best music possible.

  • The movie is sooo underrated.

  • Wonderful! Paul Forever!

  • Awesome- very beatlesque

  • I always loved this song - I had the "Give My Regards to Broad Street" album as a kid, but never did get to see the movie. I recently pulled out the sheet music for that album and learned "Wanderlust" on the piano. Teaching my daughter (age 7) to sing the melody while I sang the countermelody proved a bit difficult. Your video spelled it out for her and was a blast to watch together! Thanks for sharing it! You've helped me share great music with the next generation...

  • video is all sped up and the song cuts out early. weird. huge beatles fan but i'd never heard that tune.

  • also taken from tug of war cd.

paul & ringo should continue making music together.

    john & george...RIP

  • Ringo & Paulie are so cute! ♥♥

    Great performance, Macca!

  • try also to watch our mtv "Tamse Remastered"

  • OMG what do the first 4 chords of this song sound like?? its a song from a movie, its on the tip of my toung

  • Paul never steals music from anyone including himself...no two songs sound alike by him....

    Ram on ,

    Joe.

  • i didnt say he did, it just has similiar chord structure to if i had words by scott fitzgerald

  • Umm actually, Biker like an Icon and vanilla sky sound VERY similar to me. Am I the only one who thinks that?

  • Ummm yes.....

  • You're not.I'm saying the same since one year ago.

  • Give My Regards To Broadstreet

  • good call for a old man i guess

  • meravigliosa...

  • Haha XD

    Ringo!

    2:27 ♥

  • Remind me my 16 years old, roading from north to south of france with my brother, playing it over and over again

  • Gorgeous song!!!

  • This is another great song from "Tug Of War." I practically wore out the vinyl version of this album! Outstanding!

  • Never been a Beatles fan, but Paul somehow has found me - I would have never thought, but there it is.

But I bet "The Pound is sinking" is not so popular these days !

  • My music team and I are going to sing this song to the 'Spring Festival' on friday the 24th 09 - It's a lovely song!

I was just thinking.. is this the original Wanderlust? (:

  • This was from the movie "give my regards to broadstreet" the original version is on the album tug of war

  • This is one of my favorite Mac songs. Thanks for posting this!

  • i was in the army when this song came out, brings back many fond memories

  • i loved this song in the movie! <3<3<3

    paulie is the best

  • Ringo is so badass with his shades!

  • And yet another hidden gem of McCartney's!

  • is there a tempo fluctuation in this video?

  • ringo on drums--awesome

  • i dont think his hands really look like that...ive met him, and they didnt....xDbut its not like i was staring at his hands the whole time either, so ya never know..

  • They are Paul's hands. No doubt about it.

  • The video is stretched.

  • When did you meet him? He was only 42 when this movie came out, and he'll be 67 now, so his hands have clearly aged since.

  • He'll be 67 on June 18th!

  • I wish I could send him a birthday card :D

  • me too!

  • I think it's the aspect ratio that makes his hands look really slender.

  • For one thing, slender hands are hot. And two, the vid is stretched out horizontally, so of course they're going to look weird.

  • look at him! he has female hands!!

  • why dosent he do this live

  • It IS live! Massive difference from the album track...

  • nice "here, there and everywhere"-reference at the end.

  • es chvrere

  • Me too.

    Please load this song:

    "Somebody who cares"!

  • Love this song!

  • the beatles are the greatest ever!!! No other band has four talented musicians like them that can all sing and master several instruments.

  • i agree - how many groups have written so many great songs, albums collectively or solo and such a variety and range of talent and work?

  • This is one of my favorite Paul's Songs, I love it!!

  • One of those solo/under-rated Macca classics which could have been a Beatles song.

    thank you for posting.

    Ram on,

    Joe.

  • Great song from an album that is under appreciated.

  • Nice to see Paul, Ringo and George martin all together for this outing... I need to get the DVD again.. I sold mine when I was short on money.. Bankruptcy at the time..

  • ke hermosa cancion

    gracias por subir el video

    kien fuera piano

por dios paul eres encantador y hermoso

  • OMG what a great singer he is... love that song!

  • I'd have to disagree - to me this a far better version. The original sounds like a demo, unsure and a bit dull. This album was FANTASTIC. I became a Beatlenut after seeing the film and also a musician. I loved the idea that he could play a lot of instruments, write and sing - which I can now also do, thanks to Paul and the Beatles...

  • hi dude! thanks God, all tastes are in the nature lol! Sir Paul is The greatest. I agree, as a beatlenut too!

  • nice to see Paul & Ringo together again :)

  • does not get a whole lot better than this. he could make god smile with his melodies.

  • none of them will look half this good as they age!

  • I love this song forever!

  • "Give my reguards" is such a good flick, wish I could find it on DVD

  • great great song

  • i agree very underrated, but definitely one of my mccartney favs post-beatles!

  • whoa this sounds weird

but this song shoulda been a bigger hit!!! i heart paul, george, ringo, and LENNON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! r.i.p.

  • This is a terribly clipped and blipped presentation of a really great recording and a beautiful song. If you can't present it right, then don't do it all, Ozzy. Are you 4/4 challenged, or do you have faulty technology, or are you a musical terrorist?

  • I agree with you but I was not able to find another post of this video so ....

  • One of Paul's underrated tunes. This should be a bigger classic.

  • nice vocal.

  • WELL THEN YALLZ A BIOTYHCH

  • This isn't awful.......but the original version on "Tug of War" sure sounds a whole lot better than this one.

  • Yup...

  • Paul have very beautiful hands!!!But all is beautiful in him!!

  • I love your user name and used it once myself! I used it in a Christian chat room and all the posts made were as if John Lennon were still alive and speaking about peace, no possessions and no religion! It was an experiment in futilty and I was shredded and verbally sent to hell as I should have expected! -Cheers.

  • Three Beatles from five on this one. So great.

  • Are you referring to George Martin as the 5th Beatle? Because he WAS!!!

  • Wonderful song. Don´t understand the lyrics though...I love the bass section...makes such a poetic atmosphere...and his voice is timeless, showing how great performer Paul is..

  • To try to avoid the huge taxes for recording in both England and America, he rented several boats, one called the Wanderlust, to record at sea. I think it was during the mid 70s. Linda was pregnant with one of their kids.

  • such a great song

  • I love this song!!!!

  • thanks for uploading this video. i love this song! one of my favorite song from sir paul mccartney.

  • BEAUTIFUL.

    Wanderlust is a lovely word.

  • I LOVE this song!!

  • I loved Macca around this time and this song makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He certainly knew how to write a song that sounded like it had been around for ever. Fab. And not a hint of "Dance Around"...phew!

  • You're not speaking for me, i like "Dance TONIGHT" it shows how diverse he is!

  • 1 of Paul's most beautiful songs in his carrer!

  • i so love this!

  • Did Ringo play on Tug of War or for the Broad Street soundtrack?

And of course there's George Martin :D ... I like it when they continue to collaborate with each other.

  • Ringo played drums in "Tub of War", don't know if he repeated in "Give my regards...", but he appeared in the film.

It's great to see Paul, Ringo and George Martin together.

    Great song!!

  • RINGO!!!!

  • haha oops, I wasn't paying attention and i thought this was Wanderlust by Nightwish.

I think I need more sleep.

    :]

But as a long time Beatles fan, I'm glad I made the mistake.

    Beautiful songggg.

  • one of the best solo paul mccartney song...

  • We are so lucky to have this video to view, what a beautiful song! God bless Sir Paul!!! Our world would be much sadder with out him.

  • Tug of War, in my professional opinion, is the best post-Beatle album ever!

  • One of the best McCartney songs in my opinion.

But the Tug of War version is far better than this one

Voice, instrumentation : everything is perfect.

Ma favorite part(in the first version) is the second middle-eight("help us to be free...")

  • Paul McCartney has to be one of the most talented musician/songwriters of all time.

  • Kind of requiem chords, I reckon.

    Full of nostalgia.

    Macca rocks the world !

    Macca rules !

  • The contra in this song is pure heaven.

  • One of the top 5 Macca solo numbers, IMHO. Great song!

  • thanks for uploading this! yay, Ringo! Paul's hands are beautiful! XP

  • This has to be my favorite Paul McCartney solo song. I think that this song is what makes Tug of War his best solo album (maybe with the exception of Band on the Run). Whoever said Paul couldn't write a good song was on something stronger than the Beatles ever were.

  • beatles-quality

  • Thanks for posting this. It was good to see Ringo there helping out and George Martin producing.

  • i love this song so much!! it reminds me of the maggie b story. does anyone know that story?

  • if you let the videos that stick, run thru first (a 5 min. video make take 10 mins)then

    it runs free after that.

  • haha ur ryt! mabe paul will be the last one, its possible coz ringo is much older and has lots of vices haha, love the beatles!!!!

  • anyone else having problems with you tube videos

    stopping/sticking? like this one

  • Yes. More often than not I get 2 seconds....pause...2 seconds and so on. It doesn't happen on everyone. Any ideas?!

  • This is what happens when the download into your computer is incomplete. You can tell when it's fully loaded when the bar ahead of the play dot turns totally red.

  • Thanks no1. It doesn't seem to be quite the problem it used to be - it was no prob at all when I first started using Youtube, I guess that as that was a good while ago it's attracting more traffic now. However, I'm on broadband so assumed it should be fairly instantaneous.

  • haha i just read that, from the thing my bad, I should really read those descripitions...

  • i lvove this song what album is it on?

  • This song is on the tug of war album

  • doesnt looks like nightwish to me :P i'm outa here!!

  • pretty good song. Wonder what 50 year olds think watching this. Paul and Ringo are the only two left. I think it would be kinda funny if Ringo died next. You'd go from Paul is Dead to Paul is the last one alive!!

  • What a fucking stupid thing to say jimbosox14. You obviously have the maturity level of a cast member from "Full House". Go back to downloading porn you dork and stay off you tube.

  • MUy buen video. aunque con fallas de SONIDO.

  • The Original "Wanderlust" from Tug of War is 10000 times better!!

  • I think both the "Wanderlust" song from the album/movie are beautiful. Yet from the album sounds a bit more beautiful then the movie I agree Robert1986.

  • Wow, this was a really beautiful song! <3 Macca

  • Hi HisNeverland! how are you? :)

  • I'm fine ;D How about you? What's up?
