Paul is so ridiculously talanted and beautiful and this song just gets me everytime. It's gorgeous. And I LOVE that the little "oooo" he does at the end here is the same melody as the line "making each day of the year" from Here, There and Everywhere.
This is a wonderful effort to make songs be as sounding beaultiful as possible: "Wanderlust" is one in this rank. Otherwise, Paul shows up in a great performance. I appreciate this tune of elevation in this special song. His voice is also perfect. My best to Sir George Martin as well as Ringo in this post. All are in perfect harmony.

Paul said in an interview that the greatest songwriter in the world was and always will be IRVING BERLIN .. who wrote White Christmas and God Bless America
@Sodahpop96 Geoff Emerick is also there. He was the engineer on Revolver, Pepper, MMT, and Abbey Road. He also engineered Wings' Band On The Run, and Paul's 3 solo albums with George Martin (Tug of War, Pipes of Peace and Broad Street).
Love this one. I get a bit of Wanderlust myself, comes with the job. Awesome to see Sir George Martin in there.
@giligara30492 yes, that is Here There and Everywhere. It's from the film Give My Regards To Broadstreet. Macca redid HT&E as well as Eleanor Rigby and Yesterday for the film and soundtrack.
Check it out if you have the opportunity. On the soundtrack, there's a piece called Eleanor's Dream that Sir Paul wrote which lead to him writing the symphonic and orchestral stuff later.
his hands are so beautiful. Every time they catch me by surprise, and take my breath away...just his hands! and then I see everything else and i can't help being a little bit in love with him.
Wanderlust was a ship Paul sailed on- thats the inspiration- amazing isn't it? Paul is inspired by everything and makes the ordinary extraordinary with his music
Always loved this album and the movie. It's ashame it wasn't well received by the press. I won't get into the John/Paul comparison thing as I love them both for what they are, but I've always felt Paul was treated unfairly, John having been treated as something of a martyr in the years followng his murder and this still fresh - around '82-'84 - so I think this contributed. Wanderlust has always been a favorite. Tug of War, Broadstreet. Pipes of Peace - all fantastic.
@derekec i agree. the movie was great. i was a kid when it came out but i watched it religiously. paul has always been my favorite. i love the others as well. but paul's music to me, was something we all could relate too. he is brilliant. i love him.

I always loved this song - I had the "Give My Regards to Broad Street" album as a kid, but never did get to see the movie. I recently pulled out the sheet music for that album and learned "Wanderlust" on the piano. Teaching my daughter (age 7) to sing the melody while I sang the countermelody proved a bit difficult. Your video spelled it out for her and was a blast to watch together! Thanks for sharing it! You've helped me share great music with the next generation...

I LOVE this song, but this version, compared 2 the ORIGINAL - T OF WAR/82 is a f****!!! Its feels like Ringo's trying to overpass paul's play, and its completely out of tune. It looks like a bad cover of Sir Paul by Himself! -50 stars. it's muzak 2 me. re-listen 2 the original.
I'd have to disagree - to me this a far better version. The original sounds like a demo, unsure and a bit dull. This album was FANTASTIC. I became a Beatlenut after seeing the film and also a musician. I loved the idea that he could play a lot of instruments, write and sing - which I can now also do, thanks to Paul and the Beatles...
This is a terribly clipped and blipped presentation of a really great recording and a beautiful song. If you can't present it right, then don't do it all, Ozzy. Are you 4/4 challenged, or do you have faulty technology, or are you a musical terrorist?
I love your user name and used it once myself! Wonderful song. Don´t understand the lyrics though...I love the bass section...makes such a poetic atmosphere...and his voice is timeless, showing how great performer Paul is..

Thanks no1. It doesn't seem to be quite the problem it used to be - it was no prob at all when I first started using Youtube, I guess that as that was a good while ago it's attracting more traffic now. However, I'm on broadband so assumed it should be fairly instantaneous.
pretty good song. Wonder what 50 year olds think watching this. Paul and Ringo are the only two left. I think it would be kinda funny if Ringo died next. You'd go from Paul is Dead to Paul is the last one alive!!
What a fucking stupid thing to say jimbosox14. You obviously have the maturity level of a cast member from "Full House". Go back to downloading porn you dork and stay off you tube.
I think both the "Wanderlust" song from the album/movie are beautiful. Yet from the album sounds a bit more beautiful then the movie I agree Robert1986.

The Original "Wanderlust" from Tug of War is 10000 times better!!

I think both the "Wanderlust" song from the album/movie are beautiful. Yet from the album sounds a bit more beautiful then the movie I agree Robert1986.
