  • this hornet is so badass that it hunts for food crawling on the ground

  • they are gorgeous

  • wow

  • @peterlol21 How bout a forest fire...

  • are you kidding me? The hornet just walked all over the mantis. This isn't even a fight. The mantis needs to know its limits.

  • im guessing scyther didnt learn wing attack yet

  • DAAYYYMMM NATURE! YOU SCARY.

  • Welcome to hell.

  • ah, but can she make me a sandwich?

  • Damn nature, youre FUCKED UP

  • Damn nature, YOU SCARY

  • DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY

  • lol i dont think hornets can't beat beetle!

  • @coldtutorialtv well yeah...swarms tend to do that :) Starcraft Brood War ftw!

  • I hate the fact that the narrator calls them "monsters"... and I hate how Discovery channels became sensationalistic and make everything with amplified drama. I rarely watch that channel anymore. (I don't know if this documentary was from discovery though...)

  • LOL COMPLETE

  • The mantis is at a disadvantage with it's long limbs and the hornet is much more balanced and harder to get a hold of

  • just kill it with fire !!!!

  • Oh EPIC

  • Just watched a giant hornet kill a praying mantis. Watch on you tube

  • HOW ABOUT A GIANT HORNET VS A GIANT PRAYING MANTIS THAT MIGHT BE A DIFFRENT OUTCOME

  • Damn this reminds me of starcraft. Lol the hornets goes killing to get the food to produce more hornets to attack lmao

  • what the heck is the reaction button for ??????????

  • i wonder if hairspray plus a lighter would piss these things off

  • @peterlol21 Sure, though you can find better ways of suicide. Generally these Japanese hornets may attack you on sight and one single f***er may kill you, the lesser European hornets are not agressive and their sting is comparable to the sting of a honeybee, strong but not unbearable.

  • Earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear disaster, and monstrous killer hornets. Poor Japanese just can't catch a break. =(

  • eyes like chocolate :3

    ...nom nom

  • OMFG NOOBS! THIS IS BUMBLEBEE, LOOK SHAPE AND LISTEN TO IT.

THIS IS TRUE. I HATE YOU /watch?v=Oy69t1W-AIc

  • This makes me cringe.

  • like if A 1000 ways to die broought you here

  • No wonder people say that a hornet's sting hurts so much!

  • This video creeped me out. LOL. But this video is metaphoric for what the Killer Bees in the Beyhive will do to the haters! We have a rep for dragging mercilessly! So say some negative ish about the Queen Bey and you WILL be dealt with! That is all.

  • Can those bitches sting?

  • @raicho20

Yep, infact i think the posion can kill a person ! >.<(someone correct me if i m worng)

  • @SakuraAvalonBleac25 The poison can kill a person just as any bee or wasp can kill a person which is allergic ;) But the hornet is not particularly more dangerious than a bee or wasp. This is just a wide-spread mtyh. One needs about 500 to 1000 stitches until it becomes deadly. But about only 10% of hornets do stitch if one threatens them. So the hornet is not any threat for non-allergic persons. Hornets aren't even interested in sweets.

  • @AirSimming Actually, the Giant Japanese Hornet has a vemon deadly enough that a single sting can kill a child.

  • @SakuraAvalonBleac25 I have a hornet's nest under my roof at the moment. Sometimes you can hear them in the morning. But they are totally peaceful. Sometimes I do watch how they approach and enter the hole in the wall through which they reach their nest. They don't even fly through my window which is just a few inches next to the hole.

You might want to watch the following video to see that hornets are no beasts. It's really just a myth... watch?v=Uv3PJauoTpo

  • @AirSimming That may be so, but giant hornets have a type of toxin in their venom that can disolve human tissue, so even if a person is not allergic to them, they can still kill easily - far more easily than a normal wasp or bee. People who have suffered the sting of a giant hornet have said it feels, "like a red-hot nail being pierced through your skin." I wouldn't know - I've never been stung.

  • @TheMalfoyBoy Luckily the giant hornet does not exist in Europe and the USA ^^

  • @AirSimming No kidding :)

  • man..some insects should not be allowed to live..

  • give me a flamethrower .... don't worry I'll take care of it

  • ive seen a pack of theses guys kill 1 cicada its like a wolk pack!the other bees go in then the leader of it goes in then fineshes it off! but they do put off soliciters ! but i still here a few cicadas

  • i have hundreds of theses guys in the summer surounding my house and i try to flush them out w/ a hose or on the 4 of july i use fire crackers

  • I found a nest of those hornets in pennsylvania. They had their nest underground. We called them Halloween hornets bcuz they were black, orange and scary lookin. I saw them fly up in the trees and bring back large katydids to their nest. Maybe they are killing honey bees in the USA.

  • the Hornets remind me of saiyans from dragon ball z

  • im from latvia. there are yellow hornets. i had stung by these yellow hornets. THAT REALLY HURTS!! I dont know, how much the japanese hornet bite hurts... im 11 years old only..

  • Seriously, we should take a female larvae, raise her, and make her the queen of the first American giant hornet colony. We should keep them and add to them in some kind of military laboratory. Then take them into a hostile territory and release them on our enemies. These little guys give new meaning to the term 'chemical warfare.'

  • @TheMalfoyBoy *biological warfare :)

  • @Sapphronful Call of Duty 8 - Biological Warfare

  • wow... if we could tame hornets , 10 men with machine guns will also lose to 1k hornets

  • WOW, so cool when they're 2 hornets against one beetle. Teamwork!

  • come on stick insect! that is tight

  • I would not tolerate those fuckers being near me. I'd take a CO2 laser or flame thrower to their nest and burn the fuckers.

  • These motherfucker ar really huge. I used to living in Japan

  • aint bigger than my shoe....STEP

  • This is why I'm never going to Japan

  • @Arashiofordo3 Hornets are also in the USA too!

  • @5904ceker Yes but the ones in America and Europe are, compared to these things, cuddly teddy bears. The Japanese giant hornet is the nastiest species of Hornet in the world.

  • @5904ceker true, but only half this size!

  • 7 centimeters???

    Holy fuck!!

We ve got big hornets now invading my country.

They are like 3-4 centimeters tops.I thought that was already very big.

But man, these fellows are double the size.

  • I was getting jittery just watching this. If I saw one I would probably spontaneously combust!

  • holy shit ive been beside 2 fighting b4... i ran like fuck

  • Zergs documentary

  • damn nature you scary!

  • Pheew , at least those things are not in my country , there is only 1 poisonous snake in my country , and even that cant kill a human , I think :P

  • AWESOME!!

  • the hornet should've held the mantis head up and went raaaaaaaaaaa! lol

  • mmmm they look delicious.

  • COME ON MANTIS!

  • dam this is like dedlest worrier but with bugs

  • i love theres wasps but not like hugum kind love lol

  • @WarriorCatFan100

a sting from them will probably do your dick wonders

    ;)

    burn with fire

    nuke it from orbit

  • it's suprising that the hornet won because scyther has the type advantage over beedrill

  • @mikejames135 This is why I love the internet.

  • now all i need is a nest of controllable robotic giant hornets to kill all the hornet nests i have in my front yard lol

  • Damn nature, you scary.

  • lol i saw a giant hornet get eaten alive by a smal frog one word for that "owend"

  • lol that giant hornet was like screw you mantis not so tough without your head!

  • manhandle this...SPLAT!

  • Looks like Kamen Rider from the front :D

  • They are scary :s

  • ALL FREE JAWS MUST KILL!!!!

  • i would like to see if it wins against a centipede

  • "hornets will kill anything they can" - such awesome animals

  • Damn they're strong, and rly scary.. Im lucky that I can, without problems kill their little cousins ;) yellowjackets or the common wasp! If these fellas moved to my house, I would first seal it with concrete and pack some tons of C4 and ANFO and then BOOM! '

  • help

  • Man, these hornets need to be nerfed.

  • @TheColoradoan soooo OP stupid hornet noobs.

  • @TheColoradoan what does nerfed mean?

  • @EGCNoScope

    it's a video game jargon.

when a certain character gets "nerfed", that means it is made less powerful, usually for the sake of balancing the game.

  • @StarSpawn06 ok thanks

  • fuckin samurai hornets!!!!

  • the only good thing is that they kill other fuckin hornets

  • the real Hell's Angels

  • Their buzz sounded like mini jet engines or chainsaws o.0

  • i think they're overpowered! damn u hornets! damn u!

  • No one said it isn't a hornet BUT a hornet is a species of wasp please let's not torture words! Let's not be in the kitchen and argue "it's not a frying pan, it's a skillet!"

  • looks like the very old godzilla fight XD

  • I FEAR THE HORNET......

  • Truly awesome insect. Wonderful.

Check out Natural Worlds - "Buhhda, Bees and The Giant Hornet Queen".

    Fabulous documentary on these predators.

  • pity that because of those detailed camera takes, we cannot globally and distinctly see what is actually happening in the fight.

  • i thought hornets sting ?

  • @cartoonman4427 THEY DO!!!! LOL.

  • whoa, they have an jaw covered with titanium

  • should have dispatched swarms of these to Pearl Harbor

  • HAHA OH MAN!

Ive watched like 5 videos on hornets now, starting with the one where 30 take out 30,000 bees.

    Hornets are fuckin BAD ASS!

they just bite the heads off of everything!

  • @ItalianoBandito lmao ive done the same exact thing

i also started off with that spartan wasp battle thing

and yeah they just love to take heads it seems lol

    i love these guys

  • @ItalianoBandito The Asian giant hornet is impressive but the tarantula hawk or pepsis wasp is far more aggressive and dangerous than any hornet. Tarantula hawks can attack humans with almost no provocation and their stings are extremely potent and painful. If one is sensitive to ANY insect venom, a sting from a tarantula hawk is potentially FATAL.

  • @ItalianoBandito checkout the one where the japanese honey bees have adapted and found a way to protect themselves :D

  • @ItalianoBandito i kno that vid was crazy

  • im scared

  • Comment removed

  • Largest wasp in the world? That is not a done deal. It can be fairly decided by weight. There are immensely large tarantula hawks AND cicada killer wasps so large that Rand McNally is considering putting them on the map of Texas. Of the 3 there can be no doubt---cicada killer is decisively the most powerful flier. So weigh some specimens and don't cheat. Don't use a male cicada killer in the weigh-in. Use largest specimens of all 3 types.

  • @skirts365 The largest wasp/hornet is debatable but the most aggressive and dangerous wasp or hornet in the world is the tarantula hawk or pepsis wasp. The stings of tarantula hawks are far more potent, painful, and dangerous than those of any hornet, including the Asian giant hornet. Also, tarantula hawks can attack humans with almost no provocation and if one's sensitive to ANY insect venom, a sting from a tarantula hawk is potentially FATAL.

  • You would have to take hit from both to speak with authority I doubt you've taken either hit. T Hawks are not very aggressive towards humans I had 2 incidents in NM when one buzzed past my head 1 at Rio Grande Gorge bridge they show little interest in people unless you try to provoke them, now you have trouble. Yours is first claim of "no provocation" could be since they ground nest some have stepped on hole and been stung but wasp didn't go out of its way to attack.

1 red wasp sting can kill

  • wow! what a monster!

  • i realized that u could use these in war. Not for a joke but Japan could use like big bunkers filled with these...monsters... and drop them on the enemy! That would definetly kill the enemy!!!!

  • Scary as hell! no insect that size should have wings

  • Remind me NEVER to travel to Japan.....

  • america will soon go to war with these beasts

  • ...

How exactly did they tape this?

  • Train them to kill Osama Bin Laden!!!!! Do it! It will work!

  • @iluvmym4 lmfao

  • Yea if you could super-size one to 4 ft long, it could easily pop off Osama bin Laden's head!

    Nature's Guillotines...

  • The poison from a normal size one could kill him, no? That seems like a waste of effort

  • @iluvmym4 why ?

  • @iluvmym4 lol no more war!!!!

  • @iluvmym4 USA used to put little firebombs on bats. Not totally out of the question!

  • @iluvmym4

well as of now hes dead ~.~

  • @iluvmym4 Sorry but this job is no longer available.

  • @iluvmym4 Noo need. He's already dead :D

  • @raicho20 that comment was writen over a year ago :/

  • @LilSyco1991 Yes i see. Just updatin' you lol :D (no offence)

  • @raicho20 cool

  • @iluvmym4 it worked!

  • @iluvmym4 It did the job

  • Ow OK, Ive learnt something. Im from Uk so we have different sayings etc..

  • this what?

  • Just out of curiosity, what do Asian Giant hornets typically use their stingers for? It seems that they always use their mandibles for hunting and killing their prey; is the stinger strictly for defense?

  • they use their jaws 2 nibble on your sisters nipple

  • the stinger is for keeping prey alive while their young eat them alice

  • That's true of some wasps, but the only live prey (and I doubt they live for long once removed from their nests) these hornets capture are bee and yellow hornet larvae. Besides, I can't imagine any insect surviving one of their stings.

  • Yeah, they just use the stingers for nest defense.

  • LOLLL i was outside during the temple ceremony yesterday and one of those came and was flying around me and i thought "jeez thats a big bugger" loll and then just ignored it

  • If intelligent design is true then gods an evil cunt

  • ripped off the mantis head..

  • fuck i am so scared of these even watching the videos scare me

  • God I hope they don't have those in America.

  • I once saw a freaken gigantic bee!! far, i was like 9 and i was pissing on the tree and then i heard a buzzing noise and then i saw a bee like a foot long hovering there looking at me!! Maybe it was just seein things.

  • Wow, talk about selling it on theatrics lol. The narrator would make a good film trailer guy. (monster! decapitation! army!)

  • no shit, I fucken hate it when they do that. Why can't they just tell it as it is? W watch documenteries to know interesting facts about animals, not listen to some rabbit waffle on like its the latest blockbuster

  • Straight up from a horror movie, this gives me nightmares.

  • dude, fuck that thing man, if i saw one of those i'd piss myself

  • omg mantis vs hornet=EPIC!Next i wanna see dog & cats vs 2 hornets.

  • Holy **** those are f****** huge!

  • If they sting the environmentalists, this would be a peaceful world.

  • i got stung in the cheek by a wasp and now any one i seeit sight gets feed to my plants

  • Northisbest needs to improve his English a tad.

  • Largest wasp in the world? Maybe. Largest should be measured really by weight alone, not just length, wingspan, leg length. Some tarantula hawks are incredibly large. So too are the Texas Giant Cicada Killer wasps. Weight alone should be the determinant of "largest." Let no partisan of Japanese hornets seek out male cicada killers & small female T hawks. Let's have REAL weigh-in. Cicada killer is by far & decisively THE strongest flier in entire insect universe--it flies with large bug.

  • cough flame thrower cough....i know i stole brokes line

  • i tot the narrarator said jewels insteaad of jaws:each possesing powerful jewels--only one will walk away from this battle of the jewels--{HER} massive jewels tear threw the neck of her victim--with there giant jewels they can man handle a insect twice there size......OMFG

  • HOLY FUCK

  • Thats another holiday venue off of the list, i need to stop watching these videos, i'll end up locked in the house with a slot under my bedroom door for meals.

  • stan winston.lol

  • cough weed killer cough

  • How do they make those close-up and fly-by scenes?

  • CGI

  • um no they use a snake cam for alot of those shots, i've helped my friend make a video like this

  • while you are shitting on a hornet, it will sting your ass at the same time.

  • wasp are gay ill take a shit on them

  • I thought mantis was more gayer :P

  • @damiansanchez3

    wasps invented butt secks

  • @damiansanchez3 THIS ONE WILL BEAT YOU TO DEATH WITH YOUR OWN TURD!

  • @damiansanchez3 Uh... most wasps are female...

  • all the mantis needed was a fast and strong grip on the hornet and its all over

  • unfortunately it seem impossible grap on hornet, hornet is way too fast, hard body, vibration making mantis so dizzy lol...BTW I hate mantis because coward and always ambush rather than fighter lol

go hornet the true fighter lol

  • @Northisbest mantis is a hunter, not a flying wuss like the hornet, mantis are the insect's master of ambush

  • @Northisbest

yup, face to face, almost no insect stands a chance.....

  • sucks..i really liekd mantis
