got a question? i know its hyper competitive and expenses but the thing is i am worry about is, people like me that love japan, videogames, tech, syfy, comic, nerd culture and i notice there's a elitist behavior among us in the things i love and when i attend i gotta make cents bring my intelligene (A-game) but most of the time i am ostracize in those groups. so i want to know how do you handle elitist behavior from the japaneses & the Westerners in japan?
this was helpful, I am finding ways to get by in Japan. Cellphones would be the main thing, but you broke it down. In which I was going to do is get 2 cellphones. Thanks!
@RandomBoi100 Ya.. Most of the Japanese not really know how to speak English! I found it hard to communicate with people during my holiday trip in Japan!
You mentioned that you "went through a company" to tutor students-- what company in particular? Or were you just referring to the websites? Thx again for this wonderful video-- really filled in a lot of gaps for me!!!

30 bucks a week for food? That's roughly 11,000 yen/mo. You sure about this number? Most people on GaijinPot say that 40,000 yen/mo is the bare minimum to survive. (without taking into account going out, drinking, etc)
@fckzzz This was on my experience but I can break down for you what I would buy for 1 week worth, and this does not take into account going out to eat with my friends, just stricty groceries
In my neighboorhood you can buy a pack of eggs for 110 yen on sundays and a loaf of bread with 10 slices for about 190 yen, so that was my breakfast everyday baisically or ceral which costed about 300 yen a box, and milk that was like 200 yen for a carton,
@fckzzz then I would buy chicken breasts 2 for 2 or 3 dollars and I would buy about 4 for a week so that was about 1300 yen. Then I would buy some veg tofu, tea, and juice all for about 1200 yen as well, so that was basically breakfast and dinner for each week and I used to eat lunch in my school caf for about 400 yen a day or so so that was like 2000 yen a week ontop of that, Then of course sometimes I would eat out too and usually had one big bag of rice that was like 4000 that lasted monthly
I am glad you enjoyed your time in Japan.
