  • its the same thin with oblivian and fallout 3, its the same, can't complain

its the somantics involved here that get us all I think, magazines called it "goldeneye's spiritual sequal" cos they couldnt get license again or something, they made this, or rather if something's not broke, don't fix it.. just re edit what you didn't like... I thought it was best 1st erson id played, ever really,COD4's too stressful, crysis runs slow, TS2 was too weird... see wat i mean ... :S

  • This game is good but inferior to GoldenEye 007. The gameplay is fun and the enviroments and missions are more complex then GoldenEye 007 but it just isn't as good. I also found the game to be kind of cheesy.

  • I have to ask, that bit about cheesy, was that a joke because every levels has a hidden piece of cheese to be found?

  • @DEIVION212 my system is only showing me the multiplayer levels, how do i go single player?

  • i LOVED this game. I only bought it on N64 because RARE made it (they made Goldeneye) but i feel in LOVE wiith it. CRAZY story line, but the graphics are sooooo good for N64 and the weapons were on point. and the Multiplayer! Dont even need anyone else to play with lol.

  • Multiplayer is awesome in this game!

  • Aren't you going to get Perfect Dark for XBLA?

  • Got it the moment I got a 360 back and it's amazing, got the review sitting and waiting to be edited but as Panda's working 12 hour shifts he hasn't got the time to edit anything. So the vids just keep stacking up and up and up.

  • @DEIVION212 So, have you tried the online yet? Hopefully (for your sake), there's no level up system, is there?

  • I've tried the online and I hate it with a passion because they've done such a bad job. It's one of the most lag filled experiences I've ever had the misfortune of playing. It's seriously like playing a game in slow motion.

I've been trying to get the counter agent achievement for ages now, because of multiple reasons. Firstly no one plays it, secondly everyone quits if you kill them once and thirdly the lag is so awful that even opening a door is almost impossible.

  • On th eplus side though, from what I've seen there's no level up system because th egame didn't have it originally. But in all honestly, I find the thing completely unplayable online and I stick to 4p splitscreen.

A good XBL online game though is Monday Night Combat, played the hell out of that online :)

  • did you had the transfer pack engaged?

  • I've used it before a long time ago, but for this vid I didn't have the gameboy colour version of PD so none of the features were unlocked for the vid, why?

  • @DEIVION212 how did you unlocked the character you play as and the simulants?

  • You just simply beat the game and the challenges, although a lot of things are available at the start.

  • @DEIVION212 i dont have history mode in my n64, i dont get why. i only play the challenges. some say i need the transfer pack, is it true? and if it is, WHAT IN THE WORLD is a transfer pack?

  • I can't even remember what history mode is, but the transfer pack was something that you shoved into your N64 pad and if you have the GameBoy Colour version of certain games then you could unlock extras on either the GBC game or N64 game or both.

It was mainly used to transfer Pokemon from Red and Blue onto Stadium 1 and 2. I think about 5 games used it and that was it.

  • Right, I've just been to gamefaqs (The best site for cheats, guides, hints etc... if you're ever stuck or need to know how to unlock something, head there 1st, because if it exists, they have it) and the transfer pack wasn't used for History mode.

And from using google, the reason I can't remember history mode is because it doesn't exist, so either someone's been pulling your leg, or you've gotten the name of the mode mixed up.

So let's start with where you think the mode is and what it does.

  • @DEIVION212 god bless you. okay, i have the transfer pack. its not called "history mode", but the missions follow a storyline, in which you play as the agent of the game (i heard her name is "joanna dark" or so). in this "history mode", you had to complete missions to complete the history. i never got to any of that, i just played the challenges where you are red and the other team is yellow. and that was it. but today on wikipedia i read about the storyline and i dont know how to get to it.

  • Right I now know EXACTLY what the problem is. It's not a transfer pack you need, it's an exsapnsion pack.

The game needed it for any of the single player to be even played because it's too advanced for the normal N64 hardware.

So you're gonna have to head over to e-bay and search for one and hope you get lucky, but basically in the very front of your console is a hatch and inside there is a black lump, the one you need has a red top and you just swap them over.

  • Have you played Perfect Dark Zero? What are your opinions on the game?I feel this game is way better.

  • Zero's good but not as good as this. No FPS is as good as this IMO, not even the almighty Half Life.

  • Goldeneye is aweseom. They're remaking Goldeneye for Wii I hope they don't ruin it like the remade version of Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, and Conker -_-

  • The Conker remake was awful, yup. So was the 3rd BK, it's just shit. PDZ I think it's a good game, just not as good as the original.

And as for the remakes of the last 2, I can only assume you mean the XBL ports, which I don't understand at all why you dislike them because I've actually sold my BK, BKT and PD N64 carts to buy them on the 360 because I think they make a great game better.

I mean the dual analogue alone makes PD even more Perfect.

  • As for the Goldeneye remake though, I think it's a no hoper. As It's on one of the worst consoles ever made with a stupid control system that pails in comparison to a Mouse. They've slapped Craigs face on it even though he wasn't Bond then. They've removed a ton of multiplayer characters so that now there's 8 and they're trying to make the online like Modern Warfare which IMO won't fucking work on a game like Goldeneye.

Also RARE have FA to do with it and if you think RARE's remakes are bad...

  • Then I can't wait to see what you think of a remake from a company who had FA to do with the game the first time round, because I think those types of remakes are always worse. Because it's like they themselves are going "well this is how we would've done it" and people don't want that, people want what they had back then.

Which is why I mainly avoid remakes and only buy the original discs/carts. But dual analogue was enough to make me want this and I think it's just as good as it was before.

  • omg..i miss this game sooo much....someone took it nd ma n64 is just collecting dirt...this is all i ever played(im a girl) n love it even til today

  • well way better then that classic game room review.

  • It's a shame really that games nowadays rely more on graphical power instead of playability. Turok games used to be amazing back in the day, but the ps3/360 Turok only looks pretty. At least Zelda games haven't derived from their standpoint (except for the DS ones).

  • I agree 100% until you get to the Zelda comment, because I personally don't think they've made a Zelda game since OOT.

All of them since have had gimmicks and haven't been as good.

I think liking a Zelda game now, purely relies on liking the gimmick. I enjoyed time travelling and season changing, but hated sailing, shrinking, trains and I was unimpressed by the Wolf (But in my honest opinion that's not what ruined TP for me, not dying because it was rediculasly easy is what ruined TP for me).

  • But by time travelling I of course mean the 3 day thing in Majora, because both ALTTP and OOT had it but it wasn't a gimmick and the gameplay didn't really change.

  • @DEIVION212 true enough. For me, they added some cool features. The sailing thing was a pain sometimes in WW, but sometimes it was ok. I liked the different techniques that you could learn and the animations were great. As for TP, I liked the look, music, and overall feel of the game. The main quest was too easy, but some side quest were devilishly hard like the Cave of Ordeals. Still OOT is my long-time favorite game. Looking forward to OoT 3D! Maybe Skyward Sword will change that.

  • Honestly bud, I didn't die in the cave either.

That's why I was as dissapointed, and it's why I pretty much hate the Wii. Because there's nothing to challenge me, and challenge is a huge part of the fun for me, because it feels good to overcome something that kicks your arse all the time.

  • As for OOT 3D, everytime they've redone OOT they've fucked something up, so I have no hopes. And even if it.s perfect, I won't be getting it as I have an eye condition that renders 3D impossible to me, so I pysically can't use a 3DS.

  • @DEIVION212 I guess you're right on the wii side, but there are great games for it. MP3 was kindof a challenge for most people. As for OoT, they've only redone it once with Master Quest where they added new puzzles to it. The others have been direct ports with just adjusting controllers. OoT 3D is a complete revamp with a new control layout and updated graphics. Even if you can't see 3D, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the games. I think I'm going that way as well with my left eye.

  • WHta ails you then?

Min'es Keratoconus, it's worse in my right eye but is in both and it's degenerative with no cure other than major surgery which they only do if it's gets to it's worst stage.

  • It's weird that now listing ailments almost sounds like brgagging, lol. But I ask because I do have a lot of subs who have similar stuff to myself, so I'm always curious to ask.

The biggest problem with MP was with the controls for me, that's what made the first 2 hard, as 3 fixed it, it was too easy for me.

Also, no idea how that happened with "what" XD

Thing is though, unless the 3DS comes with 2D settings, it means I won't be able to play it period.

  • @DEIVION212 wow that's hardcore. I said that my sight was getting bad not because I have a serous illness, but because my left eye seems weaker than my right one. So far I still have an excellent eye sight as long as I don't overwork myself. When I'm working on something and spend sleepless nights, it seems to get worse. Maybe I just need glasses. As for the 3DS, it will have the 3D slider that will let you turn the 3D off completely so you can enjoy games in 2D.

  • Well that's ok then, now it just depends on whether or not Ninty actually release more than 1 game per year for it. Because with the original DS I had about 80 games and 40 were from the first year alone, after that things went downhill fast.

  • I personally liked the multiplayer on both the games but I do agree with you that Perfect dark perfected the experience with the extra gadgets and things of the sort.

  • I played the demo of the XBLA version some minutes ago and I think I'll download it right now.

You know, I do own a original N64 console, but it's just that the Perfekt Dark cartridges are getting rare and more expensive, plus, my N64 controllers' control sticks are veeery unresponsible (the usual N64-problem). And the XBLA version has online mulstiplayer, too =)

I'm looking forward to playing this in hopefully a few minutes (I have to order a code per mail on ebay for 800 MS points first :D)

  • Loved this game, it had some the best weapons of all time like the slayer missile launcher, farsight and laptop guns, I don't think I have seen another game with as many options and variety as this game had. Ta for the review :)

  • I know, considering it's almost 10 years old, it's STILL more advanced than the majority of FPS games.

    Glad you liked it :)

  • Do you perfer Goldeneye or Perfect Dark?

  • PD 64 everytime because Goldeneye's multiplayer was IMO soooooo boring it's unbelievable.

4 people on massive maps made me yawn.

  • oh come on, pd is better but goldeneye is not as bad.. i bought pd because i loved goldeneye...

  • Goldeneye's SP and co-op were ok, but the multiplayer was awful.

  • @DEIVION212 You sir, do not know video games and I feel sorry for you.

  • Care to explain because I'm lost here.

What supposed "good" game did I slag off this time?

  • Halo got owned! W00t

    1:48

  • woot im playing it on emulator with an xbox control never played this game in my life and i feel its even better then halo :o dnt get me wrong im a halo fan too but never seen such a good fps like this one

  • anyway, the people who say that the n64 wasn't a lot better than ps1 clearly never saw this game

  • Comment removed

  • @nooblet911 ps1 is better n64 was great but it had many programming difficulties, and the graphics were mostly low textured

  • n64 is, by all means, stronger than ps1, but yeah, it had some design failures (like no cd drive and low texture cache)

  • @nooblet911 yup but like i said still a great console i remember playing the n64 for the first time and my friend had perfect dark and goldeneye it was fun

  • 1200 points? I said Amazon not Xbox Live. I hate Xbox 360.

  • @crazyzach5

XBLA, $10, 1080p, no frame fuckups, March 17.

    8 Player online.

    Fuck yes.

  • I just hope they do a better job than they usually do.

    The Conker remake was abysmal.

  • @DEIVION212

Methinks they only tweaked graphics, not gameplay. (other than the option to use CoD/Halo controls if desired)

  • That's not a tweak either because the game did have dual analogue support, only you had to use 2 pads.

  • I don't have an xbox 360 or an HD tv, and the gift certificate is for amazon not anything else.

  • @crazyzach5

    :'(

  • Even if you did have a 360 bud, you wouldn't be able to play it.

I've had 4 crap up and die on me, and the weakest of games have killed some. Like Vania SOTN, a 2D 10 year old game.

  • lolz yeah PS3 is way better. Do you have one?

  • Got the PSWii60 which I started before any fucker, yet never get credit as there's no way to prove it XD

I love the PS3 but think the 360 as a games console started much better but is declining rapidly and the shitty breakage isn't helping it.

Had a PS3 die on my though which sucks.

  • yeah i got a 40gig one and it turns out that 40gigs break after a year and a few months.

  • Yeah Killzone 2 killed our 60gb launch one and Sony admitted that it was a fault they couldn't fix with the game, yet still they sent the game out without a warning.

They actually admitted to me on the phone when I rang and said "Yeah, Killzone 2 is killing a lot of 60gb machines" and the fuckers refused to give us a new machine for free! Despite it being there fault.

Takes the piss, my 20 year old SNES still works!

  • yeah, that's the problem with sony, they don't give you a refund unless you have a warranty. still better than microsofts 50% failure rate though. btw you might wanna put your snes in a placid bag. when consoles get old they collect a LOT of dust. you may also wanna wipe the surface of it. my ps2 got cockroaches after a couple of years and they shart in it EVERYWHERE!!! PLUS i think the ants ate them because all that was left is the shell.

  • Damn that's bad!

Yeah it's in storage at the mo so I may have to do it, wish I had the room and time to play on it.

Yup, and it's not the failure rate that pisses me off, because I only had to pay for repairs once, it's the data loss.

I've lost hundreds of hours on games I'll now never get to beat because I don't want to replay all that data.

4 HDD's wiped and I wiped the one on my 5th because I was told it'd save it (Which is did because again it was an update that tried to fuck it).

  • And it is the updates that RROD them, my mate has had once since launch but never had it connected. He moved and got online, the day he connected it and then updated it, RROD.

  • Amazon gave me a $10 certificate for any video game from pre-ordering Assassin's Creed II so I'm going to get this game for free! yessssssssssssssss

  • its all about the laptop gun.also another classic is the turok series

  • FAKE! done on pc. i can tell

  • I'd show you the cart and the machine but I know fine well you're just a retarded moron trying to cause trouble, so instead I'm gonna block ya :)

  • I'm collecting N64 Games now& I've decided to add this to the list, I've just orderd Goldeneye off of Ebay & after i Order Donkey Kong 64, I'm getting this :D!, Thanks for the review, It really helped me see the Rest of the game and its options :)

  • Glad it helped :)

  • This game should be called Perfect :)

  • Agreed :)

  • u guys heard of the Perfect Dark64 remake coming out soon for the xbox360?

  • Yeah, but I don't care for it, remakes tend to be awful, especially RARE remakes, I mean just look at Conker.

    That X-BOX remake was horrible.

I'll still try it, but I don't have any hopes for it.

  • Classic 1st Person shooter; even in this day in our technological era. I've yet to find any other 1st person shooter that delivers as much action, storyline, and all-around fun as Perfect Dark 64. Ordered it on Ebay last week, im pumped to return to it again :D

  • Yup, compared to todays FPS', this is still perfection :D

  • Thanks for doing this review! Just picked up a 64 to relive some classics but will be picking up some new games as well. You convinced me to add this one to the list! Keep it up!

  • Thanks yourself :)

  • I for one think the graphics are a mixed bag.

  • This game is second only to Zelda OOT waaaaaaaaay better than goldeneye. OH and second to star wars rogue squadron but thats because i was a crack addict to that game

  • I see you're a gamer with good taste :D

  • Lol dude rogue squadron was basically my life back in the day. I loved that shit Naboo starfighter ftw

  • Yeah amazing game, sequel was great too, although that 3rd one.

Shame they've stopped doing them though, would kill for another.

Speaking of the Naboo Starfighter, did you ever play that as well?

Not as good as Rogue but still good IMO.

  • the best part is that this game will be coming to XBOX LIVE Arcade soon w/ some improvements

  • oh come on this guy didnt even have it done on the hard settings tutut

  • Why would I review a game playing on hard? It's fucking hard enough for me to talk, read, play etc... Let alone when the CPU is trying to rape me. They do a good enough job on easy because of the amount of things I'm doing at once.

  • that sir is fair enough... thumbs up

  • Cheers :)

  • hahaah well said mate

  • aw man If only PD came to wiiware to.Rrae said that it's possible but I don't think it'll happen....Good vid BTW this is one of the best games that ever existed

  • Thanks :)

Yup, 2nd fave game of all time :D

  • can somebody help me? ....my startup menu doesn't look like that...it doesn't have singleplayer...it only contains:challenges;load/preset games/quick start/advanced setup;audio/video and change agent.........no singleplayer....WTF ...how can i make it work?

  • All I can say is, is your exspansion pack plugged in? Because without it, you can only play the challenges.

  • you need an expansion pack. If you don't have one, you might be able to buy one on the internet. I doubt they sell them in stores anymore. (a lot of stores don't even sell game cube stuff anymore) you might also be able to buy one at a yard/garage sale.

  • bummer...i wanted to play it on my n64 :(

  • Huh? You can though. just get an expasion pack for the n64.

  • you can't imagine how hard it is to get a n64 cartridge in romania...let alone an expansion pack....:(

  • I take it you're tried e-Bay?

  • try e-bay or another online store.

  • I got mine at an exchange shop for $35... they said it was the only one they've seen in years.

  • Best Game On N64 I Think Good Video

  • Thanks :)

  • really? i think goldeneye,this game,and mario kart r the best

  • can you when shooting, do you need to aim it up and down? or don't you, since it auto aims for you?

  • There is auto aim, but it's naff IMO.

  • another great review!! 5/5 I really loved this game. It had an amazing single player and a massive multiplayer, I would like to see it on vc. Pity it will never happen :-(

  • Cheers :D

  • Xbox Live is releasing Perfect Dark with better graphics and online play.

  • You can download Perfect Dark on Xbox Live when its released.

  • *sigh* i wish my n64 was still working =(

  • This game is too awesome.

  • Cool review... I played this when it first came out and I heard it was from the creaters of Goldeneye and I still play it to this day... I'll stick the the N64 since my xbox 360 red Ringed... Never again Microsoft.

  • Yeah, I'm onto 360 number #5.

Haven't played it since 3 died (Brothers killed 4).

  • Oh, and cheers :D

  • I'm not open to the fact that Rare games like these don't hit the VC, instead they go the XBLA! WTH?

I guess the Big n has to watch out for XBLA but who cares! VC is still the better download!

  • I agree with you because VC has better games, but I think the XBL:A is a better service because of demo's and updates. I know of tons of VC games with bugs that have happened from porting and they just aren't getting fixed :(

But yeah, Ninty were idiots to sell RARE.

  • this is coming to the xbox live arcade ... gonna be good

  • PERFECT DARK IS CONFIRMED FOR XBLA!

  • Shame it'll probably kill 99% of all 360's.

Man do I hate that machine, sick of replacing the useless things.

It's why I no longer play on it. Had 5 now!

  • Goldeneye sucked compared to this i actually greatly enjoyed this game however Goldeneye i got stuck and bored and went onto this and never went back

  • Nice review. IMO Perfect Dark is the best game ever. It is the reason why I still have my N64 at home.

  • Thanks :)

  • Nintendo 64 is god of video games.

  • pity games like this wont come to VC. Rare has left us for Microsoft :(

  • Rare didn't leave Ninty were idiots and sold them. Blame Ninty, they're the ones at fault.

  • I just bought this game. Pretty sweet. :D

Much better than the 360 PD

    Nice review :D

  • AGREED! :D

    Thanks :)

  • plasma tv?

  • Nah mate, It's a Samsung LCD, it's the upgrade to the one that Microsoft made there official 360 gamers T.V.

We had that one but it died, so we got the upgrade with our warranty (Other one had stopped being made :()

  • perfect dark was awesome but i like doom64 and turok rage war better but this game still awesome

  • Is there any way to improve the frame-rate in this game? I get around 10-15 fps...its killing my eyes lol

I have a the expansion pak...so idk whats wrong :(

  • I love Perfect Dark. It's the amount of things you can do in it that makes it so great, and the fact that the weapons and level design actually had something to do with the mission, something that, at that time, was a rarity; usually you had to activate a scripted event of some sort.

Not that I'm saying PD is script free...but anyway.

Thanks for another great review, Demon. And if this was an answer to my request, double great review, and thank you.

  • Cheers :)

  • I agree with the "more depth" part. PD had so many possiblities in many areas. (Not just weapons but enemy interaction as well...you practically could "make" your own games in the multiplayer) mode). I wonder why no game really took those innovations and took them to the new generations. A true classic.

  • I miss those days...Games used to have sooo much depth with much less hardware. Now they are so few and in between. Call of Duty 4 has set a new bar for FPS that's gonna be hard to meet.

  • I hated COD 4. Weapons felt wrong and the single player lasted like 6 hours.

Give me Half Life 2 anyday. And I can't wait till Half Life 3 hits because boy is that gonna be BIG.

But we've got to wait for Episode 3 first, so 3 will be about 5-7 years away.

  • The campaign doesn't need to be too long...It's warfare, anything over 6 hrs it becomes more of the same thing. It's not all about the time, it's about the presentation, and no, the weapons were great. If we were talking about COD WaW, then I would agree.

  • They were highly inaccurate. If people in the army are using weapons that inaccurate then god help them.

And for £40-£50, yeah the game kinda has to last longer than 6 measly hours, although to be fair I think it did, it was WAW with 6 hours, 4 was about 10.

But still, when you can buy the Half Life Orange box which gives you 20 hours, plus 10, plus 10, plus 4, plus probably best online multiplayer FPS made. Plus Peggle Extreme and Lost Coast when bought on P.C.

  • And Half Life is ranked as one of the greatest game series ever.

So you're getting quality, quantity and just overall sheer greatness combined with a nice story and an awesome set of weaponry.

When you compare that to COD 4, COD 4 kinda comes up short.

  • I'm not discrediting Half Life or the Orange box, I'm just giving Infinity Ward it's due credit for an one of the best FPS of all time. You claim the content is so extensive, but the graphics engine is dated also. COD 4 has the best graphics on a console yet.

  • Graphics don't make the game though.

I'd much rather play this over Halo, any Halo. Yet I know which has the better graphics.

  • Wow....your not listening. I didn't justify COD4 only for it's graphics, but it does limit the content they can put into a game. Given the capacity of what they had to work with, the game was amazing. To disrespect a game that it was apparent that Infinity Ward took tremendous time and effort in developing for minor quirks is unfounded.

  • Not really.

Because they made it all about online which not everyone wants, and by concentrating more with the online they screwed those who wanted single player.

I pretty much hate everything COD had done to the genre as I believe they were the ones who started this infinite health crap. And what's worse is how when you die you just go back to a checkpoint.

Whatever happened to games being hard?

  • Goldeneye and this made me scream out loud when I died right at the end of a rock hard level because I had to start again. But that was a GOOD thing.

It gave a game more lifespan for one.

So I just can't commend them for making a good game because I don't think it is, I think it's flawed and focuses more on trying to be a movie with massive online properties rather than giving you an excellent gripping story mode that takes longer than a weekend to beat.

  • And the only way to make the game last longer is by playing the online, which was actually the best part, with some nice ideas, but even then I never liked playing it because I HATE online gaming.

And do you know why I hate online? Because I am sick to fucking death of having racial slurs shouted at me, rave blaring into my ears from some knob heads mic, lag, disconnections, team killers and a whole host of other shit.

  • If online is the future of gaming, then it's a future that I will no be participating in. Not until I can learn how to pull off an American accent.

I'd much rather be able to play these games with bots and my mates. I want split screen co-op, why does that have to go so that instead we can get ONLINE co-op? Why can't these consoles manage 4p split screen VS? Why can I only play the multiplayer with racist Americans? And not my friends which is why multiplayer was invented in the first place.

  • i agree . most people on xbl are pretty rude and ruin the game .. but yea .. why dont they make games with this kind of split-screen and bots ..and all these other split-screen otions like co-op or counter-op and all the options .. now you only have 4player split screen and no bots ..or you have the choice to play online .. and rarely any good co-op ...battlefield is good example ... the only mp is online

  • Yup, It really is a damned shame. And it's just another way for them to make money.

"Wanna play with your mates, well then, all you need to do is get them to buy this, this, this and this, and then you can :D".

  • i second that PD kick ass

  • AMEN TO THAT, BROTHER!!!!

  • no it doesn't...

  • No you were just a bad shot. If you think they are innacurate then why could I pick someone off all the way on the other side of the map with a silenced G3 with just the ironsights? The Orange Box's games were years old and majority of them had their own release. Your a cynic, just because everyone likes something you don't. So what you have found minor gameplay quirks about a game and make it like that's justification to say it's horrible...that's rather childish.

  • No, I'm just not a sheep.

I have an opinion of my own, and proud of it.

  • i gotzz pirfeect darck!!!

    :D

  • yeah my uncle played this when it came out and he never stopped! I can see why too its a great game. I ordered myself a copy just now off a retro gaming website. Too bad we can't find n64 games in regular stores anymore like the good old days. Nice review

  • Thanks :)

  • gamestop has them

  • Nope.

  • are you using the expansion pack and is it turned on?

it dont look like it in the menus.

and your camera is having focus problems.

the game don't actually blurr-out like that,

    unless you get punched-heavy.

    good review.

forgot to mention the goldeneye-multiplayer levels.

    and statistics-tracker.

keep it up, but before uploading reviews please make sure to mention ALL the important things about the game.

    thanks.

  • I do my best but recording is impossible in this house, there's that much noise. So when you're always starting over, you end off forgetting shit.

And I've yet to miss out a massively important thing. Because saying that it's got levels from goldeneye, aint important. Neither is the stats really, especially because I doubt anyone would buy this just for those 2 things. Which is how I judge important things.

As for the cam, I know but if prefer to do it like this to show what it's like on a HD

  • And to also show how much is cut off in shitty 50hz land.

Yes the ex pack was in and is there actually a way to turn it off once it's in???

  • Oh the nostalgia! I loved this game. Played it to death. Even the AI is superb for it's time. You could muck around with the AI so much and piss off characters if you knew how. I found so many sweet glitches in this game. One was turning an alarm on and off to sound guards to an area and making endless guards come for you then you just kill em all and watch the bodies and blood pile up. Priceless! Although, you had to know how to time the alarm to keep the guards coming at you.

  • You can change your chars skin and rename the teams as well. Perfect Dark is the best game on the N64! 10/10. Thanks for playing the real game and not a EMU. I hate seeing a pointer on the sceen. It kills it for me. The N64 is a must have system. Get 'N' of Get Out!

  • There's too much to mention, just realised that I forgot to say about the extra missions you get on higher difficulties.

Game's just to bloody good :D

I hate EMU reviews myself. Because EMU's are glitchy so it's impossible to tell what you'd actually be getting.

Especially because unless you knew the game, and knew it well, how would you know that everything you were seeing, wasn't in game.

And the guy talking didn't spot it and therefore didn't mention that it was or wasn't in the game.

  • Like a vid I saw of Wonder Boy where the checkpoints had been disabled and he didn't know as he'd never played it before, so he slagged it off for not having checkpoints.

  • Yeah I saw one of Earthworm Jim 3D on a Emu. The sceen was pulled away and/or though the walls, so you had no idea what was happening. If it was the real game he would have seen the fridge shoot off into space. It's a weird game, but my only example. Anyway thanks for the reply and the vid post.

  • No probs :)

Never got to play EWJ3D :( Love the first two though :D

  • Yeah the first two where awesome! I've only heard bad things about EWJ3D. I didn't know it was even made until I ran into it on Amazon. Oh well... you win some, you lose some.

  • what does EMU stand for when you say,

    this is not emu

  • Emulator. Ilegal P.C thing that allows you to play old games illegally for free.

So when I say not an EMU, I'm basically saying that this is the original cart on the original console.

To which if needed, I have the proof.

I do it mainly to show that this is the real deal, there's no mods added on to imporove gameplay, there's no dodgy glitches as a result of poor re-coding etc...
