Just watched this tonight on Animal Planet...how heartbreaking! My Husband and I have been stuck in the mountains traveling before..however, when we noticed we had made a wrong turn..we turned around and backtracked. Thank God we did! This story is so heartbreaking as we have two little girls the same ages as there's. RIP James Kim.. :(

This wasn't a well planned trip..no extra winter coats, no spare tires, no extra car battery, and no spare gasoline. I mean the man wore tennis shoes going into several blizzard states. If that wasn't enough, he waited SEVEN DAYS in a blizzard before seeking help. I personally do not believe that "hero" is the appropriate term that applies here. This man and his wife made horrribly poor decisions, and they payed a severe price for it.
