For example, a new mode was developed after every dynasty on the premise that it will bring prosperity to the new order. I'm not saying that pitch is the only, important factor..but it's one of them for sure!

Both dan bau and du xian qin are quite similar if not the same. The only difference I notice is that the base of du xian sometime are mode from bamboo.

this is not a chinese instrument. It is 'dan bau' a vietnamese instrument.

the danbau evolved near and in China, so technically it is a chinese instrument also. Many minority groups in china play the du xian qin.
