The BBC took a really long time to announce and it wasn't that dramatic compared to the US coverage. It typical that I was watching David Dimbleby on the BBC.
i was watching CNN when they brought that breaking news up. i was at an election watching party in the lounge of my student room and the entire room erupted. the campus police had noise complaints until 2am.
The abc feed is too low. It's very hard to hear/isolate. it's pretty cool how your brain can focus in on the different quads if you just concentrate on that quad.
Great video. I saw him 10 rows back in Columbus, Ohio Nov 1. I am so happy that he was elected. I come to you tube to relive the moment. Thanks for a great quad screen video. :-)
Great job. I came looking for just one of these broadcasts. What a treat to get all four. This was probably the most dramatic and historically significant moment of this year, and ranks up there in the top moments of our country's history. Great way that you captured it.
Interesting fox was the first network to use the split screen. Was it that they did not want to expose their viewing audience to the masses cheering for Obama. Yes other networks might've been speaking..but they certainly didn't split the screen as quickly as fox.
The reason the other networks didn't use the split screen initially is because they didn't want the viewers to see the champagne opening and the high-fives all over the newsroom. :-)
I was watching the NBC affiliate KSEE 24. Ours was simple. The TV screen went blank then showed a screen saying Obama was the 44th President. I was so proud when that happened.
very excellent moment ..30 and white and I shed tears.. would love to see them all indvidually as well but yeah nice how it came right when polls closed even though by then we knew
Amazing to watch this historic and deeply moving moment. I was not at home to watch, being out in the rain volunteering for the Obama campaign just as the polls closed at 8:00 PST, so I'm grateful to be able to see these clips!
This was one of the greatest election night I will never forget. I was focused on both BBC and CNN at the same time on TV and computer. When I saw Obama's numbers go up, I was in huge shock and was so happy!
Looks like MSNBC was the first to Officially call it.

I make fun of Wolf enough, but, he has the only voice that stands out here! I can hear Olbermann fairly clearly too.

I'm amazed they didn't tell us it was too close to call.

Better yet they should have pretended for the next four years that McCain became president instead.

That would make no sense. Seeing as though he wasn't elected in.

Although I could see FOX news actually doing that.

Does anyone have a copy of MSNBC or CNN's coverage of election night? I recorded both news-channels on my DVR but it was erased!
If anyone else recorded any of the two stations I would love to have a copy.
I can pay shipping and profit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

MSNBC has video up on their site. I was watching their live feed as it was called and it was pretty good.
I don't know about Fox, I don't want to risk going to their site to check in case there's infectious crazy there :p
