Love this song! So sweet and lovely to think that Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin formed United Artists! Rather incredible I think and how talented they both were too! Used to go to see many Charlie Chaplin movies when young as my late father adored Charlie Chaplin!

Not that the Katie Melua fans care, but Mary Pickford actually DID eat roses, so that was kind of funny. But the United Artists wasn't that great. Mary fought a lot with Charlie and D.W. (NOT David) Griffith didn't really care. UA soon became a total mess and Pickford, Fairbanks, Chaplin and Griffith soon lost all control.

@matthijs199115013 Dude...his name WAS David. David Wark Griffith. And the only real problem with Chaplin was that he made movies very slowly, only one about every 5 years. Mary and Doug could turn out two or three a year. Without Chaplin's yearly contribution, UA suffered financially. And Mary held onto control of UA the longest of the original founders.
