I'll break down the fight Victor Ortiz fought like he had no heart, no killer instinct at all. He was explosive at times but he didn't keep it up, Victor had the power yet he kept moving backwards. Ortiz is right he definitely didn't fight at his potential at all. Yet I do believe Victor won the fight. but why was he half stepping ? He really can't blame anyone but himself for getting robbed. Amir Khan will beat Victor Ortiz.. Too much speed, enough power, but way more heart.
When I watched it in real time, I thought Vic got robbed. But then I went back and re-watched it and scored it, and I scored it a draw. I gave Victor rounds 1, 2, 3 (10-7), and 10. Lamont won rounds 4 through 9.
Draw. Go back and watch the fight yourself, score each round. You will see that it was a draw.
Bottom line, Ortiz still hasn't recovered from Maidana. He's too cautious now. Could have finished Peterson off in the 3rd, but he's too gun shy now.

Victor was in the fight not watching it. I think he thought it was over after the knock downs. Petersen won the majority of the rnds being busy and landing more . Victor let the fight get away from him
He didn't get robbed he threw it away all by himself. Peterson picked up enough of the later rounds to deserve a draw. You could tell that Ortiz wasn't shocked by the decision when it was announced - that tells you enough.
Ortiz was gassed, he came in at 157 wtf? he shouldn't even be at 140 if he walks around at 170 pounds, I think Ortiz needs to move up to 147 it will help his stamina.

Khan needs to work on his inside game. He was eating uppercuts all night. Going to the body is a good idea but you're also dropping your hands low to expose your chin. If the other guy's timing is on point he'll catch you clean. Khan and Maidana gotta go at it again though. That I can agree with.
Vic did win...it wasn't impressive and Peterson deserves a lot credit for getting up off the canvas and making it a very tough fight down the stretch but I do think Vic did enough to win

@all10980 I wouldn't say his chin is horrible. It's just not strong. Don't take anything away from Maidana. He fought a good fight. You can't say Khan took it easy on him because Maidana proved he is solid by knocking out Ortiz. Khan's offense is great but his defense is leaky which is why Maidana was able to get to him and nearly knocked him out in the 10th rd.

@all10980 It really doesn't matter what his game plan is. He was bound to get tagged at some point. Even a defensive genius like Mayweather gets hit. The key is to minimize shots taken. Khan needs to work on his inside game. He was eating uppercuts all night. Going to the body is a good idea but you're also dropping your hands low to expose your chin. If the other guy's timing is on point he'll catch you clean. Khan and Maidana gotta go at it again though. That I can agree with.

Vic did win...it wasn't impressive and Peterson deserves a lot credit for getting up off the canvas and making it a very tough fight down the stretch but I do think Vic did enough to win
...but to keep it real...Vic Ortiz is not ready for another fight with Maidana, based on how they both looked that night...Maidana is still the better fighter IMO but Vic is only 23 so he will only get better but he has a lot of work to do
