i say win for bring rainbow bright back and "trying" to make it modern....but FAIL for making the show crapy as heck! but what did we expect, a good remake?
Being an adult who enjoyed the daylights out of Rainbow Brite when I was a little girl, I kind of like the update. I don't think they've made the girls into 'adults' per say, it looks more like they're tweens which I don't see as a bad thing. This way little girls that would have outgrown Rainbow once they reached 11 can still relate for a few more years and keep the positivity going.

The whole look of rainbow brite as an adult is completely ridiculous. The style format has changed too the point where it's just wouldn't have that same lustre about it. It's a major insult to the original illustrators of the cartoon and theme. It is a classic keep it that way, some of the best loved programs live within there decades, because it was right for that time period.
I liked when Whisp (Rainbow Brite's real name in the animated series) had her head bigger than her body and not her boobs and her booty. Oh the humanity! :(

Win for giving Moonglow and Tickled Pink a chance since the originals are rare because the Rainbow Bright series was cancled soon after Tickled Pink and Moonglow's limited productions. I hope they add Stormy who never got into production. I think they should still make kid versions too though.
Ohhh that hurts... I loved Rainbow Brite as a kid and it pains me to see this new, aged design... It's almost as bad as what they've done to the care bears..... and it's not that I'm against updating a character, I don't mind the new designs for My Little Pony or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but this sucks. I think that if they're going to change the design that much then they should at least make the classic designs available.

pinkyrock- do some research!! there was 3 horses! and one of them was a girl... ( Sunriser) this is a FAIL though.. they should have brought back the classic dolls..

both win, no fail. it's ok to bring her back, i <3 rainbow brite. =) even when she's older... it's still not the same, but i think it's win. i might get me some of those dolls...

Win for giving Moonglow and Tickled Pink a chance since the originals are rare because the Rainbow Bright series was cancled soon after Tickled Pink and Moonglow's limited productions. I hope they add Stormy who never got into production. I think they should still make kid versions too though.

Ohhh that hurts... I loved Rainbow Brite as a kid and it pains me to see this new, aged design... It's almost as bad as what they've done to the care bears..... and it's not that I'm against updating a character, I don't mind the new designs for My Little Pony or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but this sucks. I think that if they're going to change the design that much then they should at least make the classic designs available.
