  • Omg, how i hated it to wait till the message came to tell me to turn this computer finally off... i didn't do that, in Win95 i just pressed the fucking offbutton and the compaq handled it just fine till i selled this :( fail :'((

  • Strangly enough, my windows 7 system boots in pretty much the same time as

this 486 with windows 95, thank you for letting me wait mr. Gates!

  • 0:30 Beep Beep!

  • 95 was the shit

  • Do not think this sucks,Windows 95 is cool

  • That was my first PC as well back in 95. Same specs except that mine was running on windows 3.1 and had only 8MB of RAM (upgraded to 12MB in the late 90's).

16 years later here i am watching this from a 2011 Compaq/HP Atom-based All-in-One. And you know what? I'd much rather having those good and old built-in speakers and that weird yet comfy little mouse back!

Too bad it passed away in 2003 and i couldn't find a replacement for that proprietary "blade-slot" motherboard design. R.I.P, CDS524!

  • Can I have the computer?

  • I masturbated to this video 123,474,878,504 times...

  • i want to ask something

if it has 420mb hdd then how can it run an os which is greater than 420mb like win 95 and 98

  • @vinayakmehra91

Windows 95 only requires a minimum of 50 to 55 mb of hard drive space. Windows 98 requires about 260 mb of space. I have installed Windows 95 onto computers with as small as a 40 mb hard drive by using the DOS Drive Space double space disk compression utility. This utility can allow a hard drive to double the disk space available. I have Windows 95 on a set of floppy disks that is use of computers without cdrom drives.

  • @pierangler i asked because i downloaded windows 95 and windows 98 from torrent to run on my old pc...

and windows 95 is nearly 450mb and win 98 is 550mb....

i have cd rom as well as floppy drive...so where can i get win 95 of 50 to 55mb and win 98 of 200mb?

if you have any download link?

  • @pierangler Can you make a copy of those floppies please?

I have lost mine and all I can find on the internet is boot disks. If you need my email pm me.

  • @pierangler Tried 98?Please try and tell me the results please!!

  • Man, this was an exciting era of PCs for me. I need to hunt one of these down.

  • Thanks for bringing the old days man !!

  • Did the "Earrrrow, Earrrrow, Earrrrrrrrwooooooogagagaga" shutdown sound come with the OS?

  • @cyndie26 it was part of the plus "more windows" theme. normally its "tada"

  • This computer can run lots of DOS software and old 16 bit Windows programs. I have DOOM I running great on it.

  • LOL WTF? Can it run the game "Pacman"

  • can it run Crysis?

  • @JoaquimAlmighty what is Crysis?

  • @Dreambro1 a stupid game

  • Love it, nice old times:) My 486dx2 had 50 Mhz , 170 Mb hard disk and 8 Mb ram and still could run windows 95. It allso had a 2x CD rom unit. All these in a huge midi tower :)

  • I love that old cranking sound. Good memories there.

  • I just got one (that was supposed to be thrown away) and it's in a pretty bad shape (no motherboard, no hdd) but the monitor works fine. I just like the case and will put some motherboard in it just for fun. :)

  • In the past the more RAM you got, the slower it loads during BIOS. Now, it's the inverse. More Ram = Faster boot-up. Wow, it takes 10-15 years for revolution to occur :D

  • My family's first computer was a CDS 500 series. I still have the keyboard from it. Cool video.

  • @pepsiru1es92 My family's first was a Gateway with Windows 98...

  • I have one exactly like this, my father bought in 95 and I was just 7 years old, learned a lot n had some fun using it, I still have the PC and apart from the mouse/keyboard that I lost, and the HD that died some years ago is still working quite well, I also lost some of the original software, I remember that it had a cool telephone software, cd player, and recoding, the PC came with WIn 3.1 and later we received the 95, that was amazing, its working, but without a lan card is hard to copy files
