Tony Hawk is all about attempting to flow across environments, pulling off risky superhuman stunts in order to maintain a flashy combo as long as possible. It requires an incredible amount of practice, total mastery of the game system, and split-second reflexes to even come close to making a score like this. Skate does not require anywhere near as much skill to land huge tricks. For competitive types, classic Tony Hawk gameplay is a vastly superior game.

You can see a record of him getting a 100 mil run the old Activision scoreboards at ds.thpgonline.co m/scoreboard. The server tracked replays of all submitted runs and disables all special modes before you could play Classic mode. He's number 2 on the list, I'm number 3. I've seen replays of many of his other runs, he's extremely skilled, right up there with XPI Sigma and Travmann as one of the best players in the game.

In other words this run is totally legit.

I remember after buying THDJ (my first DS wifi game) and I looked at the worldwide ranking leaderboards... you held the #1 spot. I thought it was so awesome - I had never seen a worldwide ranking in a game before. You inspired me to start attempting world records.

To make a long story short, I ended up setting the speedrun world records for more than half the levels, it felt awesome. I started buying more wifi games, built a reputation, and that led to me creating this youtube account.

Yeah it really kind of disoppointed me that I can't go online and really test my skills out, or try to make my score on the list.

I was thinking about getting proving grounds for the Wii, if it's cheap. But that might get shut down too, so far I've only heard of the ds version getting shut down online.

Wow, that is quite impressive, I have been playing it for about a month, and my highest score for a run is 2.5 million, and 1.8 million is my record combo on freeskate.

I was really upset that the community server shut down just a short while before I got the game, I was really really looking forward to online play, one of the main reasons why I got it, because I considered myself good for tony hawk 2 and wanted to go online, oh well.

Thanks, I think its kind of like playing an instrument, you don't have to think about all the buttons you press when you get better, that's why I like games like this.

As far as I know, when I go online, it says "Could not connect to community server" I know I have wi-fi working right because I tried connecting without a signal and it said "no connection". Though it would be nice to have a confirmation that it doesn't work for other people, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

The move is called Downhill Luge. It gets the most points out of all grinds, followed by the Rocket Tailslide.

If you go to the specials editor, you can set it as a special move. I set it as up-down-X (simple). PM me if you want the list of all my specials.

Try to use all 10 button special slots and all 3 touch specials.
