RR scheme can work in the big ten,but he under estimated the big ten when it comes to being physical.Look at Aub,they run the spread but they have big physical bodies that it takes to rule with the big dogs,receivers 6'2,210 Cam Newton 6'6 250 etc.And the Defense...well that will do u in on any team.Big time players want to be in a cover 2 scheme or 4-3 base maybe 4-2-5 like TCU runs,not no damn 3-3-5.Ur db's have to basically be lb's and have tenacious tackling skill.Change the culture on D!!
I like RR, but this was not the right fit. I also think he shot himself in the foot with Greg Robinson. I think everyone thought that would be a good hire. I think the kicking thing will work itself out next year, but who is going to play defense next year. None of those recruits are good enough to step in and be serviceable. I honestly think Brandon wanted to bring him back to some degree, but the bowl game will make it hard to do. You can not loose every game by 20 plus points....

@miketran47 All I have to say is THANK YOU, I say hire that black d-coordinator we had a few years ago, oh BTW the special teams coach needs to go to Brazil find someone who can kick a ball bring him back to Michigan tell him to just kick field goals every practice and have that kicker hone his skill

I personally think recruiting played a huge problem because I mean I understand Rich Rod needed A LOT of new guys on both sides of the field; however, he focused far too much on deploying an offense rather than getting a bigger defensive and offensive front. He got all these playmakers, fast, and small players yet up against Wisconsin we could really size dynamics and speed were not the right ways to go on defense. We were steamrolled by size there. So yeah, if I were to focus on anything [cont]
