Dave, can you help me concerning the proper fit of overalls? I've never owned a pair but want to buy a pair. My normal pant size is 38 inch waist and 30 inseam. However, I understand I should order a larger waist size for comfort. I hate tight fitting clothing. I prefer loose and casual. Can you please provide me with some insight? I'm looking at the Dickie's brand. They make good jeans that fit my frame. Thank you.
@rockbay79 I am 36 inches. I have recently ordered a 38 waist overall I feel uncomfortable but I just change it for 42. I am almost sure that I will fix fine on it.
Chinese-made goods have very high Quality Control standards. At least that's what I was told by the HR man at the company I USED to work for. My bad eye!!! Now that company's mostly in China.
@dsarti1 Did you write or call the company and tell them you're leaving them as a customer and why? Enough people tell these companies they're done with the cheap products they are putting out, maybe it'll get through their thick skulls.
I can fix this. Just take 2 of the ones you've got & sew them together & you'll have 2 good ones out of 4 cheap ones. No, it's ok, don't even mention it ; )
Got a pair of Craftsman overalls that I wear daily - seem to be fine. I notice talk to me differently when I wear them - thay must have seen your YT about packing a piece in the front bib!
Ive been having the same problems with pants even levis dave the qulity of the cloth has gone down and I have the same prob you do in my size they cost a arm and a leg I cant just go out and spend over 50 a pair that often.
my Redwings boots are the last pair i will ever own. They shipped all there manufacturing to china and now it's crap. Thin leather, cheap soles, worthless Chinese crap. I use to pay almost $300 for a pair of there boots now I wouldn't give them one red cent. It's so sad because they were the best boots I've ever owned. Had two pair last me eight years and That's all I where.
Dave, I know Pointer Brand overalls are more pricey than Liberty, Big Smith, etc. But Pointer Brand overalls are made in the USA in Bristol, TN from denim that is milled in NC. I've bought several pair of overalls and jeans from them over the years. They have a discount for buying multiples at one time. They are also, as far as I can tell, the only company that still makes "low back" overalls too.
I got some 4X liberty brand biboveralls at tractor supply. Cant remember how much they where but I dont think they where to much. If you dont have a TSC by you theyr online. As allways, love the vids.
big smith quality took a nosedive for me when they replaced the button fly with zippers. i wear key brand now.

I noticed the same thing about Carharts. It's so frustrating. Same price for crappy denim and stitching.
