I loved this game sooo much when I was about 13! One of the few games I liked enough to bother finishing. If I remember correctly, the graphics were pretty advanced at the time... I think it was the first game where the background moved independently from the foreground. Wow, I was pretty sad when I completed it ... not many platform games come close to this IMO.
I always thought I recognised the "Comic Relief or Summin" sample in the opening screen from the "Big Red Tape" (audio cassette released in 1991 for Comic Relief). I was never able to prove it as I didn't actually own the tape. Does anyone know for sure? This has now been bugging me for 16 years.
Hey Mefty11, the cheat code is actually 'dingalingdongmydingalingadingdong'! Can't believe I still remember that, would never have got to the graveyard level without it.
i never had the "luck" of having an amiga, i had an atari in those times :P
i friggin LOVED that game, i always wanted to do all secret lvls with all riddles solved in em and finish the game kinda like in a speed run for personal satisfaction... but you know, dad n mamma started worrying :P I was a born gaming freak and didn't even know it yet ^^
There was a level select cheat for this game. Type in -'dingadingdangmydangalonglinglong' at the intro screen I think. Anyone who still has it give it a go!
Im not sure if youre aware of this, but "cubex55" is not the player of any of those videos - its only the host account for all the people who do play and make those videos :)
The person who did the video is mentioned in the beginning of each video and in the video info :)
this game used to freak the shit out of me when I was a toddler. there was some level with like skeletons in it or something which just straight up freaked me out. I have no patience to watch through this whole thing though lol. at least I know I'm not the only human who ever owned this game.
Hmm.. You (RickyC) didn't collect all the COMIC letters on the Kipsville Factory level (second last level).. or is it the same bonus stuff (comic relief screens, the cutscenes where the dog does pranks to the kid) ?
i wasn't really aiming to get the letters, just get through the game! Getting the letters would give you a bonus level like the other ones i had though.
i rember playing this when i was about 7 always wondered why you couldnt just wake the kid up then hed have to walk the dog home :/

Was singing the theme to this in my head last night - took me an hour to remember what it was from. Still amazed I remembered it.
The cheat for this on the Amiga was dingadingdongmydangalonglinglong - this turned their noses green on the title page so you knew it worked.
Lenny Henry did the voice of the dog I believe.

@Ramin898989 No, it's exactly what Mefty11 said it was. It's a lyric from "Jesus Built My Hotrod" by Ministry.

I refuse to watch any more longplays of Amiga games without both proper SFX and BGM! :-\

@TechnoEstate The original version of this game (the one being played here) didn't HAVE any music. This is exactly what it sounded like.

Great game. =)
I didn't know this version didn't have any music.
I had the Amiga CD32 version that had Pinball Fantasies on the same disc.
The soundtrack to it is amazing...

Hey Cubex55! Good job. I am AMAZED you completed the game, considering that it seems obvious you don't know even half of the special moves!
1. To make the dog and boy swap places when they are facing each other, press the DOWN key.
2. The dog can stretch his arms across some of the gaps, and let the boy walk across them.
3. A general tactic - there are some "safe areas" where you can leave the boy and come back to him later.
These moves make the game MUCH easier!

Dude, same here. I played it on my Amiga when I was like 7, and it always freaked me out with its creepy graphics and such.
Definitely one of the coolest Amiga games I ever played, though. Yet another that needs to be ported to a new handheld console.
