  • i rember playing this when i was about 7 always wondered why you couldnt just wake the kid up then hed have to walk the dog home :/

  • Photograph this screen!

  • Did you turn off the music? It's the only piece of this game that aged well...

  • Man I haven't played or even seen this since I was like four. I remember it was my favourite game until it got stuck in the Atari :(

  • This game what my childhood fravorite

  • Was singing the theme to this in my head last night - took me an hour to remember what it was from. Still amazed I remembered it.

The cheat for this on the Amiga was dingadingdongmydangalonglinglong - this turned their noses green on the title page so you knew it worked.

Lenny Henry did the voice of the dog I believe.

  • Almost like an eff'ed up version of "Rocko's Modern Life".

  • I remember this game, didn't know it was made for Comic Relief as well.

  • haha i remember this game, brings back memories it was well solid

  • I loved this game sooo much when I was about 13! One of the few games I liked enough to bother finishing. If I remember correctly, the graphics were pretty advanced at the time... I think it was the first game where the background moved independently from the foreground. Wow, I was pretty sad when I completed it ... not many platform games come close to this IMO.

  • Was there ever in-game music in this game? I thought there was and I recall it was pretty good.

  • I had this on pc :D

It was so hard when I was young^^

  • this game was hard for a 10 year old but i still bloddy loved it amiga forever best system ever

  • agree on that

  • This game is like an alternative version of lemmings, coz lemmings can't stop walking and neither can that boy:P

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME? MY SISTER USE TO PLAY THIS GAME ALL THE TIME, BACK WHEN I WAS ABOUT 6-9 YEARS OLD! She could never find all the letters though:(

  • I always thought I recognised the "Comic Relief or Summin" sample in the opening screen from the "Big Red Tape" (audio cassette released in 1991 for Comic Relief). I was never able to prove it as I didn't actually own the tape. Does anyone know for sure? This has now been bugging me for 16 years.

  • damn it, mistyped it! - it's 'dingalinglongmydingalongalinglong'! Got donut jam sticking my buttons together.

  • @Ramin898989 No, it's exactly what Mefty11 said it was. It's a lyric from "Jesus Built My Hotrod" by Ministry.

  • Hey Mefty11, the cheat code is actually 'dingalingdongmydingalingadingdong'! Can't believe I still remember that, would never have got to the graveyard level without it.

  • I refuse to watch any more longplays of Amiga games without both proper SFX and BGM! :-\

  • @TechnoEstate The original version of this game (the one being played here) didn't HAVE any music. This is exactly what it sounded like.

  • @GutPuppet

That does not really make things better, does it now? :-?

  • LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!

  • so did my sister, but she never made it past lvl 1, she kept the boy in a safe place instead of guiding him 2 the end and never found the 5th letter

  • God, this game was freaking amazing.

  • I loved this game, never got past the sewer bit on level one though :(

  • Great game. =)

I didn't know this version didn't have any music.

I had the Amiga CD32 version that had Pinball Fantasies on the same disc.

The soundtrack to it is amazing...

    5 stars

  • i never had the "luck" of having an amiga, i had an atari in those times :P

i friggin LOVED that game, i always wanted to do all secret lvls with all riddles solved in em and finish the game kinda like in a speed run for personal satisfaction... but you know, dad n mamma started worrying :P I was a born gaming freak and didn't even know it yet ^^

  • great game, long time no see

  • There was a level select cheat for this game. Type in -'dingadingdangmydangalonglinglong' at the intro screen I think. Anyone who still has it give it a go!

  • This game was very hard

  • Hey Cubex55! Good job. I am AMAZED you completed the game, considering that it seems obvious you don't know even half of the special moves!

    1. To make the dog and boy swap places when they are facing each other, press the DOWN key.

    2. The dog can stretch his arms across some of the gaps, and let the boy walk across them.

    3. A general tactic - there are some "safe areas" where you can leave the boy and come back to him later.

These moves make the game MUCH easier!

  • Im not sure if youre aware of this, but "cubex55" is not the player of any of those videos - its only the host account for all the people who do play and make those videos :)

The person who did the video is mentioned in the beginning of each video and in the video info :)

  • Apparently you didn't watch more than the first couple of minutes. He used the second and third tricks multiple times.

  • harry enfield and lenny henry provided voices for this game

  • this game used to freak the shit out of me when I was a toddler. there was some level with like skeletons in it or something which just straight up freaked me out. I have no patience to watch through this whole thing though lol. at least I know I'm not the only human who ever owned this game.

  • Dude, same here. I played it on my Amiga when I was like 7, and it always freaked me out with its creepy graphics and such.

Definitely one of the coolest Amiga games I ever played, though. Yet another that needs to be ported to a new handheld console.

  • my favourite platform .. never made it through the factory ~13 years ago :(

  • Hey, they made an Eek the Cat version of this game for SNES!

  • what other formats can you get this game on?

  • C64, ST and PC (DOS). I also vaguely remember a SNES version doing the rounds about a year later, under a different name...

  • the worst bonus stage ever made.

impossible for who didn't knew inglish.

  • So learn English...

  • Hmm.. You (RickyC) didn't collect all the COMIC letters on the Kipsville Factory level (second last level).. or is it the same bonus stuff (comic relief screens, the cutscenes where the dog does pranks to the kid) ?

  • i wasn't really aiming to get the letters, just get through the game! Getting the letters would give you a bonus level like the other ones i had though.

  • Yea, OK. It's extremely cool to watch all these videos of good old Amiga games, brings back memories. Thank you very very much!

  • ding a dining dang my dang a longing long :P

  • I played the aga version and conisder it one of the best amiga games.

  • i Could never get passed the 1st level. i was only about 7 at the time tho

  • remember this one :)

  • This game has 3 difficulty levels: Impossible, frustrating and annoying.

  • cool
