I'd leave the 'rock chick' improv near the end out it's better without it , Bonnie Bramlett and Bonnie Raitt are the ones to do that style, Leave it as a simple folk song which is really well suited to your clear voice, Having said that, I can play guitar relatively well but couldnt sing to save my life !!!

To leave out the final verse about the raven at the narrator's window with a broken wing is, in my opinion, a major omission. It serves to wrap up the preceding images in the song. I think it is very necessary.

You're a purist defending a symbolically related / poetic ending. But keep in mind it's a friendly and casual cover.. and even before the lovely last line of that particular verse was skimmed and diluted, you had already tuned the entire verse out. Stuff like that can happen to anyone.

Honestly you butchered this song. No melody and guitar wasn't that accurate. The focal point of this song is the melody. I dont intend to be mean just honest. A youtube pet peeve of mine when horrible singers get great reviews because they are young and hot.
