  • I love mcneilus rl I wish you could do more

  • GREAT VIDEO ERIC.

  • Haha 0:38 This dirty water I can make tea...:D

  • This is a RL where is your SL ?Or were you just trying a RL out temporarly? And no Sir i don't want to smell nasty garbage ..Maybe a tour of a donut bakery smello vision would be cool there but i will pass on this yuck...

  • Those are cool carts I WANT ONE

  • where was the trash in the carts coming from

  • Awesome video, I am glad we are friends now too, your channel and other videos kick ass too.

  • Btw, is that a McNeilus lifter on that RL? And was also going to ask if all those carts were broken, and if they send the "shopping carts" back out on the routes or if they scrap them?

  • Yes thats a Mcneilus tipper. I dont like those tippers very much, I like the ones made by the guy here in wichita that makes the tippers for our sideloaders, he also makes a version for the RL trucks, but most of the newer RL's have the Mcneilus tippers for some reason, maybe their cheaper or something. Alot of the carts in this vid were broken, and we do have a fulltime worker who repairs the ones that can be repaired and sent back on route.

  • Thnx for the info. I do like your custom made lifters quite a bit. They seem quick, operator friendly, and durable.

  • The side load tippers in particular are still the best I've ever seen anywhere, they are by far more durable and powerfull than any other tipper I have seen or operated.

Back when I worked for WM I dealt with Bayne, Diamondback, and other brand tippers and all of them perform like crap next to the Schartzer tippers we have here at WC.

  • Huh, didnt know you worked for WM. But I concur...Bayne and Diamondback SUCK. They wanted to put a Diamondback on my truck cause it was $4k opposed to $7k for mine now but it didn't reach high and deep enough for the split (thankfully). I have a diverter box where I can adjust the flow to the lifter...so I have mine tweaked just about right...almost as good as the Schartzers, but not good enough! haha

  • Good work on the nasty video! Judging on what that looked like, I have a good idea of the smell! YUCK! You always get that dumping carts in the yard. There was once a 3-month non-paying customer who's cart was brought back to the yard...and you could smell it as soon as you pulled in the parking lot haha.

  • After 3 months or more of non payment the cart guys will snatch the cart from the customers house whether it has trash in it or not, and many times the trash inside the cart has been stewing for weeks or months at a time. Sometimes its so nasty the maggots wont touch it lol.

  • It makes me wonder how these people can stand having a cart full of trash rotting for three months next to their house. It is beyond me. The worst one brought back full was 1/2 full of raked-up dog crap, then a mix of rotted meat, diapers, and misc trash. The cart cleaning guys didn't even touch it so the whole cart ended up getting crushed in a RL.

  • Frickin beautiful, and I'd give anything to be there at the landfill when this truck gets emptied. How about a shot of that? :)

  • I would have got that shot if it was possible but I didnt dump this truck out that day, it wasnt full yet.

  • Really? So if the truck isnt full at the end of the day, what do you do? I thought they were dumped daily...

  • All the route trucks are dumped daily whether completely full or not, but this truck was being used just to dump the carts that are brought back to the yard, so it only gets dumped when its full.

  • Ahhh thanks for clearing that up. Hey, is it a law that all trash at the landfill must be covered at the end of the day? Was wondering...

  • Dont think its a law (or maybe it is in some places) but from my understanding its standard procedure when operating a landfill, every landfill operation that I am aware of always covers up the face at the end of the day.

  • It is a DNR regulation here in Wisconsin. At the end of the working day, they must either use a liner and tarp the working area or use a "daily cover" which could be clay/dirt/ash, etc.

  • Cool, yeah it seems to vary. I think most are "supposed to" but not all landills always do. I've only been to a about 4 landfills - and sometimes after the day was done, they did leave the face open. was just curious if they were breaking a law by not doing that...

  • Damn, who'd the Wichita Wildman piss off to be stuck in a rear loader? LOL

  • Mmm Smell O Vision you say... it'll come about one day I bet! Make a real additional feature to some of these videos on here, especially this one with all that muck in there =] yummy again!

  • Once YT supports Smell-O-Vision, call me! I'd apply it for my vid called "self unloading" as well *hehe*

  • Yes, Smell-O-Vision would accompany this very, very well.

  • woould ya like your garbage drained and crunched with that?

  • So, looks like they got ya working a rear-loader for resedential now?

    That tipper really blows!

Does not seem to like those carts much, how frustrating!

    Thanx for the vid....

  • Yeah, lift seems to need replacement - or is it the bins...?

We had a design of 600/800L bins with a galvanized steel frame. As soon as they were bent i little bit (and that was fast) they'd drop into the hopper every time or fall off when lowering.

  • God no...I would hate to run my route in a rear loader by myself. Thats too much damn work! I like doing 2 man RL but we dont do it like that around here these days, the few RL routes that we have are all 1 man and have much less stops than the sideload routes.

This was on a saturday after a neighborhood cleanup, I decided to dump some of the carts in the yard that the cart drivers bring in, just for the hell of it.

  • Good to hear, still got the MSL so we can look forward to more great hopper vid...;)...

1 man on a RL does NOT sound fun!

  • Although I do not really like that particular tipper, its not that bad. All of the carts that fall in the hopper or are otherwise a problem in this vid are due to defects of the carts, not the tipper. Alot of carts are brought back to the yard from "switch outs", when the cart truck swaps out a broken cart for a new one. Many times the broken cart is still full of trash and is brought back to the yard where it must be dumped before being repaired.

  • Hey buddy, tell ya what, I'll give ya $20 if you do it!

Eric works too hard for this, you will have to make a much higher offer!

  • bullets ricochet around in those hoppers pretty good

  • Oooooh! Hopper juice! Garbage Gravy!!! Yum!!

  • lol the song cracks me up somehow

  • you should try and see a bottle of the 'juice' on ebay...

  • What place is that your are dumping bins? At transfer station?

  • This is at our shop where we park all our trucks.

  • I like watching garbage juice get squirte and spash out like jet or waterfall!

LOL so many broken cart and what happen toyour side loader 743?

  • i love my job....now.

  • Love the juice man. Has to be frustrating as hell though when the can tips all the way in. Thanks for sharing with us as always!

  • i don't know why this is interesting, but i like to watch it regardless :)

  • broken side loader? xD

  • Nah just dumping all the carts in the yard that the cart divers bring in, just for the hell of it.

  • You were just dumpings carts in the yard the whole time?

  • Yeah, got done early with one of the saturday neighborhood cleanups and decided I'd dump the carts sitting in the yard.

  • One day it had just rained and it was after holloween so there where alot of pumpkins and half of the hopper was filled with juice! We have the tall cans here so they where going into the juice!

  • That's that good smellin' shit, nukka!

  • All that garbage juice, is crazy as, i've never seen that much of it before!

  • I just saw the end of the vid and it looks like you can spare a cart but you don't have too. I'll take any versa-kart! Can I have one without a bar or do you repair those?

  • You don't need to pack every can. You can wait like 2 or 3 cans then pack. I know this kind of stuff and I am 11. I help our trash men. You can also make it so teh packer doesn't half to come up all the way. Can a have one of the versa-karts or a rehrig!? I really like the versa-karts! Please don't be offended by this comment. Please tell me I can have a versa-kart!

  • No offense taken, but I know my way around a garbage truck, rearload and sideload. This vid was not shot on route, I wasnt acting like I would on route. This was taken on a saturday at the yard, so I was only trying to get as many packer cycles in as I could for you all to see, wasnt trying to be the master of productivity that I aspire to be on route!

  • @WasteCnxsideloader LOL. Rl are fun but a pain if you are the only one.

  • We should all be thankful to the men and women who pick up and haul away trash day-in, day-out. Thanks.

  • Only the saturday RL neighboorhood cleanup stuff. Almost everytime I've whipped out the camera on saturday one of the volunteers has asked "why you doin that" or something to that effect. I'm always honest and say this:

"It's probably going to end up on youtube"

98% of the time the people think thats either just fine or cool as hell.

The other 2% seem like they could care less either way.

Nobody has ever complained to me about it.

  • PSPprincess, its the greatest"waste of time & grime"its the best"garbage" on youtube, his trash videos are the best ever !

  • nothing like some FRESH SQEEZED GARBAGEJUICE IN THE MORNING, :P~~~`X

  • YESSIR!!

  • Very nicce! I hate it when people leave their lids open when it rains! It's very annoying! Great angels too! Like your can yard at the end! Thats a lot of poly carts! 5* and FAV!!!

  • nice job eric

  • NICE WORK! had it rained that there was all that water going in with the trash, or was it just garbage juice? 5 stars

  • A little of both :)

  • That water in thier looks yummy.

  • A glass a day keeps the doctor away...no wait....keeps the doctor wondering why you are so stupid!!

  • Mm hm, sir, do you know of this thing called "sarcasm". Now you earned your self a dare for that responce.

I dare you to drink some of that juice. Muhahahahahahaha!!!!!

I think I will leave a HUGE pile of yard waiste instead.

  • looks like you guys had a bit of rain. Where's the Mack, did they switch you up for the day?

  • This was a saturday after a particularly short neighborhood cleanup, I came back to the yard and decided to dump all the carts that the cart drivers bring in when they switch out broken ones, pick up for non pay, customer moved etc.

There is a guy that does this mon-fri and I thought I'd make his life a little easier and get some good footage at the same time!

  • great job, does this truck service RL dumpsters??

  • Yes as a matter of fact it does, I was just using it one saturday to dump the carts at the yard that the cart drivers bring in.

  • ah, if you have enough time could you make video of it emptying a dumpster

  • A RL cool! Eric!

  • YUMMY.

  • Wheres the normal truck?

  • Parked in the lot as we speak, ready to go for tomorrow! I drive sideloader 743 mon-fri but on many saturdays I run a RL. This was shot@ the yard, me dumping the carts that the cart drivers bring in throughout the week. I only did it because our neighborhood cleanup was an easy one that day and I had the opurtunity to get you guys this footage!
