super love this short story! watch it over and over almost 20 over time!! there is not alot of effect and the story seems normal but it is the overall performance that kept me watching
If this is a school project then it is well-made! Chee Keong's acting is good for a new comer. It is very common most teenagers have crush/infatuation. Be it boy/girl or of the same sex. But turning into a stalker is another matter altogether. Unfortunately, at that tender age most react like one! From one good friendship turns sour turns HORROR! Do we blame David? Do we blame that ah kua who wasnt helping at all? Most people cannot take rejection and hence.. Suicide! These people need help...
The story at the last part was good. But it wasnt flowing very well. The cinematography wasn't at it's best. If the story is based on a true story, I can't really say anything much. It brings strong message though!
the dialogues could have been better and less corny, with less use of love (as i'm sure a guy don't say love every single day). More subtle words would be better, until the back where he became overtly obsessed then maybe that love word should come out. If used too much, it became too fake. Oh btw, I think it should be 18th birthday? Coz JC 2 people turn 18.. (most anyway). And I hate the fact that it is R21 just because it is homosexual themed.
This is beautiful and the story can take place on any continent or among any race of people today. Thank you for all of your efforts help show such a story. It is nice to see the strong friendships the characters have whether at lunch or when they try to intervene with a friend having problems. And plaudets to C.L.C.

I think the director was kinda pressed for time(?) but i see the attempt even the effort to capture the defining moments when chee kiong came out to david. having said that, this short was just another attempt to be controversial, but I could see where the writer was coming from. An ok effort with lots of areas that can be improved.
lol i sense so much sarcasm in the recent comments. this is just poorly executed. the producers claim that this was based on a true story but this really didn't do justice to it. this short just screams for your attention and sympathy to the character of the lead with its tragic ending. Alot of jarring technical errors were made in terms of cinematography (yikes, i shouldn't use that word, because there's none) and I know because I was a film student :)

There are inconsistencies in the storyline. Certain scenes could be sped up and some lines cut out to make it cleaner. Good for a raw cut then! :) I like the acting of the friends. David the straight boy was effortless. But the lead didn't really work for me. :/

story sucks! the first 5 minutes already know how it the ending. shooting sucks, volume level sucks, lighting level sucks, noise level so high, music do not match the theme, sucks ... knn really a gay shooting this gay movie... please ask them not to post, make Singapore lose face..cb I listened to the soundtrack feel like throwing out my notebook. so many actors only the mother acted ok.
The fact is this: When you re a gay teenager, you may seem lonely and alone especially when the object of desire is not similarly inclined. Just give yourself time cos eventually, you ll realise that there s a community out there and there re people who are also gay whom you ll like and will feel the same way about you.

I m not here to comment on the effort. The story is a poignant one that many of us growing up gay would have gone through the same emotions. Falling in love with straight and other wrong people is simply part of the process of growing up gay, I guess.

this isnt that good except for the gay guy's acting. and the mom looks way too young. the ending totally sucks. too easy a way out. for both director and story. a deus ex machina. out of 10, i'd give this a 4. almost barely making it.
In my opinion, The directing isn't that good. It doesnt bring out the sadness for the guy and also for the mother. But for the friends, it did brough up some sadness. Also I can't feel the relationship between the 2 boys when they were very close friends. And the acting wasn't that good either. Except for the sissy boy

Being a PLU myself, I think I can relate to his dilemma. Its so easy to criticize this and that, but imagine putting yourself in his shoes, when everything just falls apart and like the sky has collapsed on u, totally and utterly hopeless, people can do even the craziest things. Try to understand and appreciate the TREMENDOUS sufferings that we as g**s are going through.
Cry as much as you can, but please do not end your own life just because of that, not worth it. If you have the courage to do it, why not the courage to face it. Just because of one setback? How to face the rest then?
To die is easy. But when you die, do you know you are hurting those who are close to you? What would you get? You win? No, you are a loser for not able to face life. If CK is still alive, won't he would be able to find a better person than David instead? Same thing here, a guy can look for a better girlfriend when his ex dump him, right? Why die then?
I have to say, knowing and having someone to love and accept you, for who you are is the best remedy. For those who are in the closet, be strong and one day, finding the 1 person you share your life with will come in unexpected ways.

thinks CK is foolish, not until you are in his shoe. Think about this, how many straight guys have done foolish things when a gal dump you? Is the same thing. When I was studying in Singapore, I surpress all my feeling till I came to US now, and thank god that I met my love of my life.
Watched it again last night. Love the song. Cannot get away with someone who chose to die in such a foolish way, hope to give counsel to this person if he is still alive.

Based on the true story, I think CK is the foolish one. How can he possibly throw out his feeling 100% to someone when he knows there is no outcome in the end.
There's no right or wrong answer for this. Is how we look at things and how we perceive things. Many of times we have not learned to see and take things from a different perspective. Therefore, when we encounter any problem that we can't solve, we choose to run away from it instead of seeking help. If we can't run away from it, most probably we just perform our selfish act by leaving our love ones and friends behind and end our lives just like CK in the film.
If one have to outcast gay / lesbian, let me just ask you this question, are those criminals all gays and lesbian? If not, aren't those straights criminals worst then gay and lesbian?
As for those remarks and comments, well I may be wrong, but I believe for those so call "normal (straight) people" or those so call "abnormal (gays/lesbian) people". There's nothing wrong with us. Each and every one of us lives our life with dignity. We contribute to the world, to our society, to our family, friends and love ones equally. The only difference between these 2 groups of people is their sexual preferences and that is not a crime.
After watching the film and read thru all the comments. Although I do agreed that the visual and sound effects of the film wasn't that great. But taken into consideration that this is not a production from those professional like media corps yet, many viewers had shed tears, for the story had touches many of our hearts. Is really hard and good work for sharing CK's story to us in this film. Really appreciate it.

I don t agree with what was said about gay love as a forbidden love. It is not; you just got to find the person who feels the same about you.
I m not here to comment on the effort. The story is a poignant one that many of us growing up gay would have gone through the same emotions. Falling in love with straight and other wrong people is simply part of the process of growing up gay, I guess.

this isnt that good except for the gay guy's acting. and the mom looks way too young. the ending totally sucks. too easy a way out. for both director and story. a deus ex machina. out of 10, i'd give this a 4. almost barely making it.

In my opinion, The directing isn't that good. It doesnt bring out the sadness for the guy and also for the mother. But for the friends, it did brough up some sadness. Also I can't feel the relationship between the 2 boys when they were very close friends. And the acting wasn't that good either. Except for the sissy boy

Being a PLU myself, I think I can relate to his dilemma. Its so easy to criticize this and that, but imagine putting yourself in his shoes, when everything just falls apart and like the sky has collapsed on u, totally and utterly hopeless, people can do even the craziest things. Try to understand and appreciate the TREMENDOUS sufferings that we as g**s are going through.

I have to commend the whole casts and production crews for this movie. There is a lot of people out there
thinks CK is foolish, not until you are in his shoe. Think about this, how many straight guys have done foolish things when a gal dump you? Is the same thing. When I was studying in Singapore, I surpress all my feeling till I came to US now, and thank god that I met my love of my life.

I get to know about this short film only last night.
Based on the true story, I think CK is the foolish one. How can he possibly throw out his feeling 100% to someone when he knows there is no outcome in the end.

There's no right or wrong answer for this. Is how we look at things and how we perceive things. Many of times we have not learned to see and take things from a different perspective. Therefore, when we encounter any problem that we can't solve, we choose to run away from it instead of seeking help. If we can't run away from it, most probably we just perform our selfish act by leaving our love ones and friends behind and end our lives just like CK in the film.

As for those remarks and comments, well I may be wrong, but I believe for those so call "normal (straight) people" or those so call "abnormal (gays/lesbian) people". There's nothing wrong with us. Each and every one of us lives our life with dignity. We contribute to the world, to our society, to our family, friends and love ones equally. The only difference between these 2 groups of people is their sexual preferences and that is not a crime.

After watching the film and read thru all the comments. Although I do agreed that the visual and sound effects of the film wasn't that great. But taken into consideration that this is not a production from those professional like media corps yet, many viewers had shed tears, for the story had touches many of our hearts. Is really hard and good work for sharing CK's story to us in this film. Really appreciate it.

Great film! Enjoyed it, but there's only one flaw-the revealing of chee keong. If the script can be changed to one that sounds more serious.

Sigh. I was merely on the verge of suicide too back then. Same thing happened. It's so sad to recall the pain and misery I suffered. I'm still alive today, big thanks to bunch of supportive friends. They love me so much that I know I couldn't give up on them and my family too. After knowing I'm gay, they try accepting me slowly, I know deep inside my heart. To those stereotype people u isn't as great as us who certainly ARE BRAVE & BEING TRUTHFUL not just to THE WORLD but TO OURSELF!

i love how it depicts the reality of life and the prejudice that homosexuals go thru and the consequence of insensitive remarks and actions against them. being rejected because of sexuality differences is a hell lot worse than heterosexual rejection because the rest of society rejects you as well and you dx receive any support because they do not understand what you r going through.n to use an actor who is not overtly"gay"in his behaviour is very true to real life.
