The chest is under shops it's there inventory so that you can't kill a shop owner to take everything from them. There is one next to the dawnstar mine it's invisible its a khajits it's in some trees.

There is usually a secret chest under every house in Skyrim, you just need to use the cheat tcl.

I just did this glitch for the the 5th time. And when I got under the Sky Forge, I found Eurland Gray-Mane dead under the chest ;(

The chest is the guys items that you can buy and they didnt get lazy with the outside. The didnt include the stuff because inside the city is likes its own world and thats why there is a loading screen through the door.

Hey, uh, I upgraded my Xbox 360 profile to a live one, but, every time I would sign in using my aircard (no router or modem), it would say I connected to live, but due to my connection, my online experience was limited. So, I re-downloaded it. It doesn't download all the way, and each time I enter my account information, it says that my profile is not availible right now.

I think that chest is eurland gray-manes inventory so if you go there evry couple days it should respawn the gold, weapons, and apearal

The chest is like the one in Dawnstar. It belongs to a NPC. This one, Euroland Grey-Mane. Its his Shop Inventory. They put it under the Skyforge so they wouldn't lose it, but its separate from him so you can't kill him and take all the stuff back or take the stuff he has.

The chest is a merchants chest. They can't carry all of their shop items in their inventory so the chests are there to store it all.

thumbs up if u want to know how to get the vendors inventory in the secret chests

1) go to follower and tell he/she that u want them to do something

2) after u do that and get under the map

3) go to the vendors area and move your crossheirs on the chests and your follower should take everything in the chest

4) fast travel back to whiterun then search ur follower he/she should have all of the vendors stuff

* u cant sell any of the items from chests unless u have the perk that allows you

Take whichever way you want to the chest, make sure you don't overencomber (or whatever) yourself, and you.can just fast travel out of it. After that wait 48hours talk to the skyforge guy, check his inventory, go back under the map and everything he has will be there! :D

at the whiterun main gate the 2 little rooms you can go into left and right of the main gate go into the left one jump on the barrel from the barrel jump into the front left corner should get you out aswell can sometimes be easier than the one on the video dont know if anybody else has found this dont know if it works on xbox or pc it does on ps3 if it doesnt work at first keep trying a little bit longer you should get it like so people see

@lorin1996 That's exactly what they are for. Normally, you can't get to them but in certain instances you can glitch under there. It's so you can't get to their inventory and steal it. Think in FO how they had inventory lockers, it's a similar principle. It's an easy way to store the items and call for them when you activate the merchant.

@Robloxia4 Thats where you're wrong. Some vendors like the skyforge guy is in quests, that's why theres a chest under him, so he will be able to sell weapons at the same time as being in quests

Chest like this are actually the vendors stock. They are linked directly to that vendor so if you wait 48 hours and talk to the vendor, the chest will reset. There is also one in dawnstar and 3 in wind helm

There's another chest like that in dawnstar near the mine entrance between some rocks, but to open it u have to crouch between the rocks, and it's invisible, so it will just say open chest, and to reset it all u have to do is ask the cat lady vendor whats for sale on the other side of town

There is another way to do this glitch. on the left side of the entrance to whiterun there is a barrel in a little room next to the door. Jump on top of this barrel and then try and jump onto the wall facing the entrance. This will take a couple of tries but will work, once there keep moving forewards while changing the direction you are facing until you get through. Now walk around the left side of whiterun until you find the whole behind the skyforge and there you are, easier with no life lost

That chest contains all the items for stores near there, it's what venders sell their items from. It's underground so you can't just kill the vendor and steal all their stuff. Check the wiki if u don't believe me.

After I went out of Dragonsreach the wall near the blacksmith's house in Whiterun wasn't there. I got out of the map and freaked out that I would have to restart! XD popped my head out of the ground and jumped up. Then reloaded he town by entering a house and i was all good.
