I don't see how anyone could think a story such as Evangelion would need to be remade in live action to be validated. Remaking animated masterpieces as live action is always a mistake. Anyway, I don't think the project is ever going to get off the ground. Hundreds if not thousands of films every year see extensive pre-production designs, planning, and writing, yet only a tiny percentage get production approval.

It is dojinshi, but for it's 640+ pages there are only 12 with sexual content. It starts right at the end of 'End of Evangelion' and is so incredible that it should be animated as the TRUE sequal to Eva!

this is the second of 4 rebuild movies...

first one (evangelion 1.0) came out by late 2007 or early 2008 in japanese teathers, we still haven't get the dvd here in the US,,..

and no, they change the story, add new characters, evas, change some angels, etc.. they changed the plot a lot....although you may get bored w/ the first one cause it's only like a retell of the first 5 episodes of the series,,,it focus mainly in the dimond looking angel....but the second one promises a lot more
