Hi, ive had a chinese elm tree for less than a year and when i bought it they gave me seeds - its 'food' for the spring and summer. But they never told me the date or month when i am to start feeding it. I've looked up alot of bonsai videos and none of them show feed times on any bonsai. Do you know when its time to feed a bonsai tree?
It is not an indooor only bonsai !!!!!!!!! You can have it outside also in full sun or shade, in fact it is better for the tree to grow outside because it needs to go semi decidous in winter to rest a bit. You can keep it indoors and it wont go decidous this year, but after a couple of years it will no matter what the weather conditions.
@MrSmartComment a Chinese elm can be either Decidous or Evergreen. If you never allow it to go dormant it will survive indoors as long as you keep it healthy.
