Dont get me wrong, the Cobalts are light, and with 260bhp, its a nice combo for a street car, but the STi is in already a step up, and with mods, as long as the driver is decent, those two can run all day long and the STi will always come out on top.

@cblt2007 Im not sure if I mentioned it but I drive a java black 04 sti. I chose the car not because its faster but because it has so much more style with so much more of a dope look that a cobalt just simply doesnt have. and another thing is that I have driven a cobalt ss/tc quick a few times Im sponsored by A&T chevrolet for motocross and they let me take them out. and they are not faster and they do not handle better and you obviously never felt sti's huge brembo brakes throw you forward.

a "tuned sti" will do "319hp 389tq" on stock turbo which is fairly small to begin with. thats one thing you idiots dont know...subaru uses fairly small turbos across the whole line.
on a 1/4 mile track stock for stock the turbo "shitbolt" will shit on an sti. no lift shift ftw. i watched 3 sti's get fucked up by a stock cobalt ss in one day with my own eyes so say what you please, your a scrub. @cblt2007 Im not sure if I mentioned it but I drive a java black 04 sti. I chose the car not because its faster but because it has so much more style with so much more of a dope look that a cobalt just simply doesnt have. and another thing is that I have driven a cobalt ss/tc quick a few times Im sponsored by A&T chevrolet for motocross and they let me take them out. and they are not faster and they do not handle better and you obviously never felt sti's huge brembo brakes throw you forward.

@ lousolivierfortin what the hell will you do in the snow? sti are a much better quality vehicle then a cobalt any day of the week. the 2.5 liter can handle MUCH more power. and also it has a way better sound and the looks of an sti kill the cobalts

You should of break boosted at 3rd and you would have had a better shot. Just get an intake, full exhaust, tune, and better tires (i have an 09 SS) cuz those shitty stock continital tires dont grip for shit and you will have a fast ass pocket rocket for a cheap price. I plan on doing that to mine after the 6 year warranty ends.

16 psi on a stock turbo isnt "tuned". stock is 14.5. what subaru claims anyways. 07's were dynoing higher.
hell my legacy is 16.5 with just a reflash. stock was 13.5.

16psi on a sti is basically stock.
a "tuned sti" will do "319hp 389tq" on stock turbo which is fairly small to begin with. thats one thing you idiots dont know...subaru uses fairly small turbos across the whole line.

on a 1/4 mile track stock for stock the turbo "shitbolt" will shit on an sti. no lift shift ftw. i watched 3 sti's get fucked up by a stock cobalt ss in one day with my own eyes so say what you please, your a scrub. Im not a poor man but for the money you would spend on a stock sti you could have a 400whp bolt.
