I am assuming you are talking about this:

“The Imam knows his Hour of death and his death is in his control.” (Usool Al-Kafi, Vol. No. 1,Page No. 258)

but then we have:

“And no soul can die except by Allah’s leave- a [divine] decree with a fixed term!” (The Noble Quran, 3:145)

“It is Allah that gives life and causes death.” (Quran, 3:156)

so basikly they do not have 'control' over their death, now for knowing where they are going to die..

Its clear that the shias Imamah beleif is based around allegorical verses. Firstly you didn't answer my question, you brought up the hadith about the '12 caliphs' but tell me why it said caliph and not imam. Can you answer this question? Do you know the difference?

Secondly, you have not admitted that the verse you were talking about had many meanings and was not of clear meaning.

Thirdly, how does verse 33:33 start? "And stay quietly in your houses..." is this talking about Ali (ra)?

And just to clarify, in Surah 17:71, Imam is meant as book, it is a record of the persons deeds. Imam in arabic has many meanings, in this case it means book. We can discuss this in more detail if you first answer my above questions. This is all I am asking. Three simple questions.

I'm not ignoring the verses you gave me. I read them and realised you have just put a 'shia twist' on each one of them. If I were to pretend that these verses were talking about Abu Bakr (ra) then I would say to you, "Isn't it so obvious that these verses are talking about Abu Bakr (ra)?" Listen, Ali (ra) is not sinless, he is a great personality but that does not mean he couldnt commit any sin. He is a normal human being. I have read up on shia islam and I cant see imamate anywhere! Surah 53:17-18 has NOTHING to do with imamate again! I keep saying read Surah 3:7, this verse tells you that your faith should be based around the verses with straight forward meaning.
