OMG. This is favorite f%$&*# book. The first time I read it was in 2003 and it was love at first sight. Alice Sebold is an extremely talented writer. I'm glad that Peter Jackson is going to make it as accurate as possible.

From what I've read, the afterlife stuff was filmed around Wellington, and the interiors for the police station and the father's office were done in NZ. Most everything else was done in Pennsylvania USA as far as I've read.
