I hated my VW... that damn putt putt putt sound was a constant grating embarassment in traffic, particular when climbing a hill and being passed by everyone else, sitting in those damn upright seats with that spartan interior with an AM radio. Ug. An engine you couldn't get to without lifting the body off the car. Triple Ug. The only thing nice about it was it was indestructible as a jeep, and very driftable. On leaves, anyway.

@Grimmvald I have had alot of bugs a 73, 66, 61 vert, 69 and a 70. I love the styling ques of all years. I dont buy into the " it has to be a pre-67 to be cool " and I think most people in the volkswagen sene are going that way. I think you could park your super beetle beside a split window, and an avrage person not know anything about volkswagens would say " not much of a difference" but a peson that know a bit about volkswagens would have to say that the video looks like volkwagen hevan
