What kind of slock job demo contractor is THIS? they actually have a license? damn, this is the most unsafe demo I've ever seen- tearing away the way they did.
@FurrtherMoor I was horrified when I saw the method they used. No wonder they wrecked their new Jewell High Reach the first day. This building should have been taken down by a single crane with a wrecking ball from the top down. Pulling the structure over after weakening the base is just insane especially in the downtown area with ZERO dust suppression.
@ssdphoto I agree. Watch the other collapse video of the other side. It was shocking what they did. Especially with the occupied buildings attached, and how debris nearly falls into the entrances of them. I cant believe these yahoos are licensed to do this.
@garycalgary i never said the world was horrible you idiot .. i don't like people saying these building need to go. there was nothing wrong with these old buildings. it's the people in the city of detroit who give a rats ass about anything and continue to burn everything in sight. so put a gun to your own head asshole
@6969Wolf6969 And I can't wait for them to start tearing that cheap crap down in the suburbs. I'll be there cheering like you, Wolfman, once they blow up the Palace, Silverdome and all that boring strip mall crap.

The stripmall stuff is atrocious and should come down. But it's making money for the owners. When was the last time you stopped at a stripmall to buy something? It's convenient.
It's all this garbage in the city like this that needs to come down. When are they gonna start swingnig the wrecking ball at that piece of trash train station? Can't wait to see that down and off to the landfill.
Those guys wrecking the building are ruthless. Seems they get it down any hard and aggressive way that they can. I love to see them demo this old crap. Bring it all down.
On the the next old dilapidated fire trap in Detroit. I am sure ADAMO will get the job and I can't wait to see them trash the next place. LOL.
Keep up the good work, photographers, videographers, and, of course, the talented operators in those big mean killer track hoes.
It's cool to see how they swing the wrecking ball with the track hoe to weaken the structure.
Then they just kill it.
Wow, those guys don't mess around.
I see they did it in the middle of the night so that nobody would be around, but how cool that you caught it on video. Thanks for staying up late (or getting up early) to catch it on film.

Right on, bro! The tree huggers on this site are out of control, aren't they? Don't you love to see crappy old buildings like this hit the ground. Demo is so cool!!!
I live in Bloomfield Hills, where we love the demo guys and the demo companies that are cleaning up all this crap downtown. they are honest guys making a living at it. bring on the wrecking crews. you don't like it, ,then buy the building yourself, if you want to save it, you tree hugging pesto eating scum

Another parking lot or parking deck I suppose. Detroit is a poorly ran city, a hopeless cause.

I bet the dude in the cab of the crane was like "OH SHIT!!!" when that wall was coming straight at him.

what is historical about an old concrete and steel building , in uk we have standing structures that are 600 year old now thats history
britdemo 1 year ago
@britdemo We'll never get to 600-year-old buildings if Americans keep tearing everything down.

@BuildingsofDetroit
whats the point of 600 year old buildings if you cant use them>
demons936 1 year ago
It is sad that in America almost nothing is taken care of to last long enough to become truly historic. We are becoming a wasteland.
dallaskeffer 1 year ago
@britdemo In a country less than 300 years old...this building was historical. Yes Europe is older than the USA...doesn't make it any better or worse
