  • one of the best videos for threading eyebrows

  • it does hurt, but im 12 years old and hairy, it depends on the person thats doing it though, if they do it really slow it hurts like hell but when its done quickly it hardly hurts!

  • I just got mine done 4 the 2nd time

It does hurt like hell but I like it better than tweezing

    And takes less time

  • Such a lie threading hurts like HELL!!!! :c

  • i liked the results but it hurt quite a bit =(

and nowi have bumps around it..what should i do to make them go away?

  • PEOPLE PREFER THREADING VS WAX, BEACUSE IT DOESN'T CAUSE BREAKOUTS !!!

MONA HAS BEEN DOING THREADING FOR OVER 35 YEARS NOW !!!

LA GENTE PREFIERE DEPILACION CON HILO, PORQUE NO CAUSA IRRITACION Y EL PELO CRECE MAS SUAVE !!!

MONA LLEVA MAS DE 35 AñOS HACIENDO EL HILO !!!

  • You can't really say that threading hurts more than waxing, it really depends on the skin and how sensitive it is. I find threading wayyy better, pain-wise and result-wise. When i thread my eyebrows, I can really get the shape I want, since it removes one line of hair at a time. Some salons charge insane amounts though.. Where I get them done they charge 3$.

  • Ohhhh I'm excited for this! I'm trying it out in a few weeks, It doesn't look so bad. A friend of mine tried this the other day and although her eyebrow area was red , she swore it didn't hurt. I'm fourteen <3

  • I'm young and it hurts bad, but it won't kill you. Don't punk out. I'm between 11-16 so I'm sure an adult can take it.

  • I did threading today...never again. I'm not a big baby about pain, but this is very uncomfortable.

  • how do you do that threading thing

  • Threading does not hurt.

  • use a razor,i do...look near where they sell false eyelashes.......

  • Waxing is not for me, I have really sensitive skin but threading is seriously awesome, I have a low pain tolerance and the first time was fine for me. It's more precise than waxing and the overall result looks better.

  • People need to stop whining. First time is the worst. Just got it done, and I am not good with pain at all, i'm a whimp. Waxing doesn't have the control like threading does. For anyone who's trying to decide, just do it. Don't fear the pain. You don't see people screaming in the chair while they're getting it done, so you know it's not that bad.

  • I just had this done yesterday and it does hurt bad!! I have been getting my eyebrows waxed since I was 14 and I'm 24 now. They told me it hurt less but to me it was a lot more painful. Waxing is quick and threading feels like gliding and ripping the hair out painfully-but the skin is smoother.

  • my eyebrows are really think also though

  • i love treading my eyebrows way better than waxing or plucking but it kinda hurts :(

  • in Egyptian weddings women do that i had that done i am american and on here they say it dont hurt it does hurt alot

  • 521 likes.. 1.2million views. wat

  • every time i thread its incredibly painful

  • i ONLY thread my eyebrows - it only hurts a lot the first time you get them threaded. After that it barely hurts at all. It also depends on how thick your eyebrows are too. obviously, the rele thick eyebrows will hurt a lot more.

  • hurts more than waxing

  • what part hurts the fact that its rubing on your sking or when the eyebrows come out?

  • I just got my eyebrows threaded for the first time today and let me tell you IT DID NOT HURT ONE BIT!!!! and my eyebrows came out looking amazing! I'm pretty sure the only reason it would hurt is if they are pulling your skin and not just the hair. It felt just like plucking your eyebrows except it ame out a lot better and was wayyy faster

  • I'll take waxing any day, but then again, I don't mind waxing. Watching this made me wonder how crazy men think women are at times. The stuff we do to look pretty... :)

  • plus its fast.fifteen minutes and your done.

  • its not bad.ive NEVER had anything done besides letting my wife pluck every blue moon and this was much more pleasant and its wellll worth the pain considering how my brows look now.

  • I think the person who did your had little experience because I get mine done at Mall of America and it hurts much less than waxing. When I get mine waxed they are swollen sometimes 2-3 days but they hardly swell when there threaded. I can usually go about my business without looking like I just got my face ripped off lol unlike with waxing.

  • for everyone who is saying that it hurts, yes it does but it hurts a LOT less when you have smaller hairs. if you do it once a week, you will barely notice any pain. and you do get used to it!

  • i do this for my mom nd and myself, no need for a salon, plenty of youtube tutorials, jst pick up some cotton :)

  • It's true that threading hurts the first time you get it done, but you will get used to it. It's very well worth the price and the slight discomfort for perfect eyebrows :)

  • I don't know what you are all talking about. I got this done on me and it hurt sooo bad. It's so painful to feel all your eyebrow hairs slowly getting individually plucked out of your skin. I'd rather wax any day... it's quick. And my eyebrows were just as red after the threading as they usually are when i get them waxed.

  • @SillyIncantations So sorry for your bad experience. The lady who did mine did it quickly and it was almost painless! Way less than plucking or waxing!! I didn't have any redness at all. Maybe you should try someone else.

  • Bull! OMFG that hurt! I'll stick to my fast, warm wax thanks!

  • Wrong'uns

  • I love threading eyebrows <3 It isn't just skilled labor, it is a very calming and mental escape.

  • ii been looking for a tutorial using this technique with the end of the thread in the mouth. if anyone knows of one please send me the link. =)

  • Why do people go out of their way to say how old they are like it matters ?

  • Freaking love this! I started doing this because tweezing was not cutting it. I started getting them waxed, but having sensitive skin, I would literally get cut each time. So, I tried this. Let me tell you, it hurts the first time but so worth it! It gets better-and depends on your pain threshold. But best part-instead of being red for a days/getting a scab, I am now only red for less than a hour. Plus, my eyebrows actually look good even if I go a month with out doing them again.

  • I had my eyebrows done for the first time with this technique. I can't compare it to waxing because I've never had it done, but I do love the end result. It was a little painful but not to the point that I wouldn't do it again! The results are amazing! I love my new look!

  • I just got the wax. (which barely hurts) I dont think i could handle the pain from it.

  • Note to newbies - if you have never done any eyebrow hair removal before, you may find this extremely painful (I did). I would try it again (happy with the result), but I should also warn that my eyebrow area was BRIGHT RED for over an hour afterwards (and I'm very pale so it was quite a contrast). Not a good look to walk around the shops with (thank goodness for fringes).

  • I just got my eyebrows threaded and I'm 14 and it didn't hurt all that bad and I have thick eyebrows

  • Just had mine done first time in my local Superdrug store lol Random place but she was good and very nice, and even called me a wimp when i was twitching lol the pain was... minimal and i've tried quite a few different methods of hair removal now, certainly worth having a go even as a first time and last time thing. The sound was kinda soothing lol

  • I only tried threading all around where I live does threading its so clean and it does not hurt and I'm 14!!!!

  • Just got mine done nd my eyes were all watery by the time i was done it hurt

  • I got mine done today for the first time, & I have very fine light brows, and they're hard to get nice and perfect, waxing was apsolute shit for my eyebrows, and today when she was bringing me the mirror to see the results I was seriously blown away, I didn't expect such AMAZING, clean results. I like threading as it doesn't leave you with RED eyebrows afterwards & sticky resadue. It did hurt a little for me but that's because I have sensitive skin, will defo be doing this again!

  • i love how they neglect to mention that it also originated in persia..americans are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO biased.

  • i never used wax !!!

    i just pluck them ...

after a cupple times it's not hurting anymore and it's done in 5 minutes

  • IT HURT LIKE SHIT FELT LIKE MY FACE WAS BEING TORN OFF!

  • @rachaelbear6 lol maybe you didn't taught the skin tight enough? It hurt for me too, but not extreamly. I'll defo be having it done again without a doubt, and it's so cheap too!! xx

  • IT HURT SO ****** MUCH! I would rather get my eyebrows waxed. It is more precise, and neater than waxing though... BUT OUCH!

  • Had it done today - it's a little thinner near the nose than i'd like - but I didn't communicate with my threading lady that well, because I was nervous about how much I thought it was going to hurt. The pain turned out to be almost non-existant!!! I was really amazed, and i'm happy with the results, even if they are a little thin, so much better than what I can get done at home with tweezing.

  • It gives you a much cleaner and neat finish, it's brilliant. :D I definitely recommend it to everyone, it doesn't hurt. It's a sort of.. Good feeling, cause your eyebrows get looking brilliant.

  • I've always tweezed my eyebrows and i'm getting tired of it and i wanna either get them waxed or threaded, does anyone know which ones works better? which one is less painful too?

  • @jean033198 threading is much less painful and more precise. (:

  • @jean033198 threading and body sugaring

  • Today i just got my eyebrows threaded. And it only took 30 seconds. I have never gotten my eyebrows done before. But it still hurt. But not probably as bad as waxing. Its just a little plucking.

  • I've gotten my eyebrows threaded and I gotta say it hurts like a bitch especially the bottom. I had to tighten my left foot like i was getting stabbed because you can't wrinkle your face. But anyways it was worth it.

  • @y2j456 i tighten my foot too! its really uncomfortable and irritating but worth it

  • sorry but im gonna stick with getting my eyebrows waxed

  • I got mine done today for the first time ever. I have never done my eyebrows and it did hurt for me since i never had pullen hair from my eyes like that. The top didnt hurt as much but the bottom did hurt tears came out. But it was worth it cause at the end they came out looking so nice and clean

  • Just started getting mine done. The first time I thought that it hurt, but they looked so much better than when I got them waxed. Just came back from my second time, wasn't quite as bad and they look great. I think that I can put up with the pain for a few minutes to get the results.

  • My brows aren't that thick and I really don't find it hurts much at all. So much better than waxing. Go to someone who's done it awhile and knows what they're doing.

  • omg this hurts like fuck, no just.. no. i have to do this instead of waxing because of the medication im on and it's soooooo bad...

  • That lady in the beginning had no eyebrows left!

  • Whoever said it hurts less than waxing is crazy. My wife talked me into doing it and afterwards my eyebrows were very red and it was lot more painful than regular waxing.

Both waxing and threading rip your hair out. The best way I can describe it is waxing is like removing a band-aid quickly, it hurts but only for a second. Threading is like a dozen tweezers plucking out hairs all at once continuously until it is done.

  • @icandynetwork AMEN! This hurts like hell! Ive done my brows and upper lip, and I'll take waxing over this any day!

  • @icandynetwork but waxing leaves the skin swollen...:) especially sensitive skin. threading is great in this area, no swollen skin yay !

  • @mariav087 my skin isn't "swollen" but it has bumps all around it, and it was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded. Any ideas how to get rid of them? =(

  • Very interesting....hmmm

  • i often say ooooooouuuuuuuuucccccccccccchhhhhhhh when i do this to myself but its worth it :)

  • whether it is painful or not, it depends on how thick your eyebrows are, if your's is not too thick and messy, it wouldn't hurt much.

  • Nbs 4 ever

  • I just got mine done today. It KILLS. But it looks really nice :) Although, I wouldn't reccomend it if you have a low pain tolerance. I can't stand pain but it's worth it :)

  • it really hurts but it looks really good.

  • @peightonwix

    Agreed. It hurt REALLY bad.

  • Had it done the other day and is completely sold. I love the results. There wasn't even much redness on my face after like I thought there would be. Yes, it did hurt but it wasn't that bad.

  • it wasn't that bad, TO ME. I found it less painful that waxing and plucking. Everyone's pain tolerance and skin is different.

  • I did this to my self and it's really easy and quick! It didn't hurt any more then plucking! :D

  • I have sensitive skin and it always hurts me...I get one eye don and can't get the other done. For the pain you can put anbesol or orajel or any teething medication.

  • The first time, it hurt like a bitch because I have seriously sensitive skin. I've only gotten my eyebrows threaded three times and it still hurts.. Damn

  • i will not get my eyebrows done if not with thread.....they really make my eyebrows look beautiufl

  • I've been getting mine threaded for about a year and it STILL hurts. T____T

Does numbing cream work? Like Orajel?

  • Omg! I traveled to Tulsa,Oklahoma and there was some of these and I got my eyebrows done and I look awesome!!!

  • howtoeyebrows(dot)net

awesome tutorial on eyebrow threading there :D

  • 10 dollars! in india u can get it done 4 Rs.25 which is like 50 cents

  • If you're ever looking for any eyebrow threading in the Houston, Texas or Dallas, Texas Area, then Eyebrow Energy is perfect for you! You can visit and "Like" the page here on facebook under "Eyebrow Energy"

  • Luv threading :P

  • I love eyebrow threading. My Aunt does it for me and it's much better than waxing because waxing can take skin off. I think waxing is meant for the lower body (legs, arms etc.). It looks very nice :). It is painful though, yes, but you get used to it. And it's worth it. :)

  • my eyebrows used to be kind of thick with not much shape to say, but me(im 13) and my mom decided to get it done. it was well worth what we payed(about 10-12 dollars). we were both satisfied with the finished look and in my opinion it didnt hurt alot but my eyes did water up a little bit(: im definately gonna get mine done again

  • the things women will do for beauty ...

  • got threaded today for the first time. it hurts, but it's not unbearable. my eye didn't water. it's like the hairs are being ripped out of your eyebrows... like you can hear it, it sounds like tearing. although it hurt, i'd do it again. paid $10.

  • oh she uses accutane. i wonder if she has ulcerative colitis. or chrone's disease.

  • this shit hurts like mofo!!!! don't believe the lies!!

  • Is this Kayla bitch on crack cocaine? NO PAIN???? WHATT???

  • Threading didnt hurt for me and i was just pleased with my eyebrows ! :) its gonna hurt more if u have sensitive skin prob

  • UNSANITARY ...ITZ ALL OVER THEIR MOUTH

  • @maria121807 no just the end of the string that dosen't come close to your face... pay attention.

  • ..wonder how this will work on the the pubes lol

  • It doesn't hurt.

  • i got mine done today and it doesnt hurt alot

if u have sensitive skin then it will hurt more

and it takes a while to grow back which is goood!!

  • u quys r exaggerated,, it dont hurtt

  • If you go back it actually originated from Iran. Its a Persian Technique

  • my friend did this.. and the threader had to stop to try her face cuze she was crying from the pain.. so I'm skeptical about the no pain part lol

  • I just got my eyebrows down by threading two days ago..and I LOVE IT!! definitely so much better. I had got my eyebrows waxed previously and i live in two diff cities since i am in college, and i dont usually get my eyebrows down here around school but when i did, the lady who waxed my eyebrows did not do a good job and wax dripped to the corner of my eyes which scared me, almost shutting my eyes. Threading is so much safer and easier. It wasnt painful at all. never going back to wax!

  • Fortunately for me, threading did not hurt me at all o.O;

I like it way better than waxing.

I guess it depends on the person and your pain tolerance.

  • I'm so keen to try it! :)

  • I just got mine done & it didn't hurt that much - a lot less painful than waxing, that's for sure!!

  • I have issues plucking.... haha I have a low pain tolerance.... this may be a good option for me if it doesn't hurt too badly! (:

  • I JUST GOT MINE DONE I LOVE IT. IT WAs my frist time for me it did 't hurt

  • Alot less pain than wax! I just had mine done for the first time today. Awesome.

  • Why wouldn't it hurt? You're pulling hair from where it grows. My eyebrows look ahmazing now!(: and it hurts waaaaayy less than waxing!

  • my experience is that when they thread between your eyes and at the top, is not as painful as underneath. Pain goes away quick and your only in the chair 5 mins at the most. I think it's worth it, ive always got great results

  • I thread my upper lip and I'm not gonna lie it hurts. But you get used to it if you do it often, also don't let the hair grow too long, it will hurt more. For example, if I don't thread for 2 weeks it hurts, but if I do it every week it doesn't hurt.

  • that's a lie it is painful

  • It does hurt, but then after a few sessions and getting used to it, the pain was nothing. And this is way better than using tweezers or waxing.

  • It hurts. I was cringing in my seat.

  • Indian Salons charge 3-5 dollars for eyebrow threading. However you need to go to the kind where all the brown ladies go.

  • @CanadianPerspective

nooo. Where I went it was 10 dollars, and it was an India salon. It was also pretty painful.

  • @CanadianPerspective Where the "brown" ladies go????

  • @CanadianPerspective Indian SaloNS CHARGE ONLY 0.21 cents for eye brow threading !!

  • Threading hurts like fuck, no exaggeration. And I only had my eyebrows done - I dread to think what getting your bikini line getting threaded feels like. Never again.

..Though, to be fair, my eyebrows DO look amazing now...

  • Odd. =/ Eyebrows? Nah. Facial hair sounds loads easier than plucking, though.

  • YES IT DOES HURT! but it's so worth it! and it hurts less than waxing and plucking! i loved it!

  • i agree!!! it hurts hurts hurts! I tear all the time but once its over... its all worth it :)

  • I guess it depends on your pain tolerance level people - it hurts but it's not that bad. Definitely can work through it no big deal at all. For me anyway! It hurts less than waxing for me. Plus waxing hurts long afterward.

  • Dude that shit was absolutely painful.

  • all great things come from India :)

  • They said it was painless THATS A LIE it does hurt...not to scare anyone but it was more painful than I expected...I have tattoos so I can handle pain pretty well I thought this would be a piece of cake...it seemed like when she did the tails on my brows it hurt WORSE..My eyes were watering....but I would do it again because I dont know how to do my own brows

  • Technology these days are incredible

  • I LOVE getting threaded! Eyebrows, chin and top lip every two weeks. Sorted!

  • not even i did mine today for the first time and it barely hurt

  • i got my eyebrows threaded for the first time today at it hurt

  • Eyebrow threading gins

  • strange...

  • that shit hurt worst than tweezers

  • @costumecouture Tweezers take waaaaaaay longer, especially if its been a while since you had your brows shaped.

  • This is MADNESS!

  • I had neve heard of this till now, my mall has a kiosk that does it for $9 but i was afraid and needed to do research!

  • I tried this, but it hurt D: But I still have a beautifully shaped eyebrow :D

  • @ClassicsRockHard You should of had them both done!

  • @Taipans I did, my bad. I guess I meant eyebrows instead of eyebrow.

  • accutane is so bad for you

  • @xXxrainbowFreakxXx You've never suffered from bad acne, have you?

  • If you learn how to do it you could do your own private parts...

Hold the string in your mouth, bend over, and start threading.

    Bwahahahaha!

  • The people they interviewed would dissuade people from getting it done, why didn't they actually interview people with decent looking eyebrows?

Anyway, in my area, it's about $15 to wax in a salon or thread them for $10.

  • WOW 10 bucks? in my area i get mine done for $3 . its standard price in the salons

  • I want to do!

  • Where are you people getting eyebrows done? It's around $15-$25 in my area, this seems like a great deal.

  • ahahahahah 10 dollars for threading? my salon in toronto charges 2 bucks for eyebrows or upper lip - because there is a lot of competition among salons in the area. :P

  • haha, burnellyow-- "does it work with pubic

hair?!" umm...probably. but they prolly wont touch you there,

    unless super mega uber sick.

you can get brazilian waxing for that.:P

  • i have never plucked my eyebrow...... always got it thread

threading is neat and more define than any method used

  • It doesn't hurt that bad i got my done today! it felt like plucking to me....my eyes did tear up though.

  • just $10? are they kidding me lol it looks cool but not for a person like me who have have 5 eyebrows to take care of lol

  • i do this every week with my friends

  • too bad you can't thread your legs real quick!

  • I got my eyebrows done by this lady and it is wonderful. You have to be careful about where you go. Just like if you were to pick a hairstylist make sure the person you go to has experience. These people are good and they have the skills and experience you are looking for. Even if you have to pay little more it's okay. I would rather pay a little more than have my eyebrows butchered. Plus this is a new trend for those who have not done it or seen it done. So I recommend places like these shops

  • I could use some eyebrows; when I was a kid I shaved mine and now they're very thin.

  • Man I had dis done a couple of days ago it hurt very bad and I'm a person that can take pain good. I'm not sure if the girl did it wrong but I will never have it done again.

  • where are these people ! i don't want it to hurt~

  • the process makes my eyes water but that's not a big deal because when it's over, it's over! my eyebrows look their best when threaded, versus when waxed or plucked.

  • The first time I had this done, it didn't hurt at all. I just had it done by somebody else today and it hurt a lot. Just depends on who you go to.

  • it doesnt hurt that much probaly the same pain as the waxing but the threading is supposed to last longer

  • I've done my eyebrows with this technic

to me, it's the less painful technic

it's doesn't hurt me very much

  • "There's no pain." Lies! I just got my eyebrows done the other day and it hurt like crazy.
