He was supposed to work with two producers. He was waiting and waiting and then they told him those producers are already working with Michael. He was mad. He was also calling Michael, but his people (Michael's) didn't pass him those messages. Later those producers weren't happy with their cooperation with Michael and that's how it come to those lyrics. If you take a look at Michael Jackson's band for his tours, it consisted of people of all races, but mostly blacks.

Look people, this was all done behind Jermaine's back! This version was not to be released! Also, Jermaine was very angry and frustrated why singing that song because Michael, knowing Jermaine was in talks with a a certain record label, took the spotlight, delaying Jermaine's work on his album. He was supposed to work with two producers. He was waiting and waiting and then they told him those producers are already working with Michael. He was mad. He was also calling Michael, but his people (Michael's) didn't pass him those messages. Later those producers weren't happy with their cooperation with Michael and that's how it come to those lyrics. Jermaine just sang them and never knew the song will be published, because they recorded another version - for public.

Firstly, Michael Jackson had a skin disease called Vitiligo, which his son also suffers from, which left blotches on his skin. To even out the skin tone so that he didn't look like a "cow," he used makeup, hence his skin becoming a pale white. If you take a look at Michael Jackson's band for his tours, it consisted of people of all races, but mostly blacks.
