The hospital in my town has those Simplex speakers! They have them installed on 2903 triangular-strobe plates. A few wings also have 4903-9150 speaker/strobes, and a few other assorted Simplex speaker alarms, as well as remote TrueAlert strobes. I don't know what the panel is, though. Probably a 4100U, what with the recent renovations and upgrades going on there.
The original Fire Alarm System at my elementary school (Patton Elementary) had these exact speakers for their fire alarm system- those bring back memories!
@Gb755c It never played a message because I don't think it was voice a voice evac panel. It was just tone specifically a tritone (as in the interval of an augmented fourth on the notes A4 Eb5). I never found out what kind of system was installed. I know for a fact that it was installed and maintained by ADT especially since I remember seeing technicians working on it for a whole day. I think it was some sort of Unimode panel. Since then I know the school upgraded systems.
why is it so loud in the parking area?

My favourite firm alarm signal yet! It's none threatening yet gets the message across loud and clear.

yeah they made doubles for the under ground parking.
twoplyboy 3 years ago
@twoplyboy Did they make quads?
videogamer24385 2 years ago
is that double-speaker setup made using the double horn mounting plate thing that Edwards makes?
I bet it would look even cooler with single-projectors attached...
