Todd, I don't know the right musical terminology, whether it would work as a duet or not, could work really well as a 'dialogue', with duet sections incorporated. The instrumental part would be really impressive with more guitars, even more intricate, and even some 'dirtied up' parts with elec/ac' gain thrown in..I just really like the song ,and am greedy to hear more takes on it. From what I have seen Cherry would be interested in exploring whatever might take her stuff further musically

I think you've added something of a meatier and stronger beat to the original plus a couple of little elaborations.
Maybe you could get a duet together when TBG gets back from her travels.
nb. I've kind of assumed that this song is all about Cherry's voluntary work and those souls that have fallen from grace are the people she comes across in distressed circumstances...
i think she's having trouble getting youtube access where she is. But I also doubt she'd be interested in doing a duet on one of her songs; unless she just wants a really horrible voice in the mix to make her voice sound even better by comparison :)
You do yourself a disservice - the duet work well. However, I've no idea if it would work with this particular song. It's not so much the singing or fit with the melody, but how the interpretation and emotion would work. Cherry might have had something very specific in mind with this type of song.
