I thought.. Halca wouldn't sound as good as Maki. But She's really good. I smiled hearing this. It reminded me of Cove reber replacing Ag in Saosin. It must have been a great pressure on her too. It's their signature song. She must sing it really well.

This song is awesome, but neither of the female singers have ever pulled it off live IMO. the vocal is simply to low pitched for their voice. if this song was half an octave higher or maybe if the vocal track was a whole octave higher it would suit a female singer WAY better.

i miss Maki! i love watching her performance. however, Halca isn't so bad as well~ she has a great voice. she looks uncomfortable performing in front of this audience. given the time, she will open up and show the fans that she can rock the song!!!! hahahaha~

I admit, her voice is amazing. Well, amazing is a bit overboard, but she has talent. Unfortunately, I have Maki constantly pushing the back of my mind. Bands are never the same when a member leaves, more so for a vocalist. Even so, I can't wait until she finally gets comfortable with preforming, Halca seems like she would have an amazing stage presence if she would just loosen up a little!

A Halca tem uma voz linda e ela é tão bonita quando a Maki-sama. Mais o caso é que qualquer outra pessoa que entrasse na banda nós iriamos dizer a mesma coisa "não é a Maki-sama".

You can tell from her voice that her confidence isn't lacking THAT much. She sounds really good. But as a singer, she might just not be thinking about moving much, and nerves don't help. She might well just be trying to make sure she does justice to the song, since the band's fans will be remembering Maaki's rendition.

It's her first concert after the release of the first album with her. And she admitted during that interview at the beginning of the video that she was very nervous about performing.

... Maki's first concert wouldn't sound as great as her final one, but Halca's under some pressure because she's about to sing iconic tracks, PRIDE in particular.

So maybe... let's cut her some slack and wait for the next singles and albums. ^^

As others have noted, Halca's stage presence is lacking compared to Maki's - none of the enthusiasm or goofiness. Or again, maybe this is her unique way of interpreting the song's emotion.

Disappointing but maybe on her songs, the bands new material, she sounds just fine. Maybe she also gets more excited.

Honestly not just Halca's singing but in every way I don't particularly like this version. Of course this is Maki's song so I'm sure Halca feels obligated to change the phrasing to try and make the song her own. So it will sound weird to those of us accustomed to the original. But her phrasing or not, I just don't think her version is as good period. She sounds too polished like some American Idol clone.
