I think it's wrong that we focus too much on our sexual conduct and practices. Why it matters who the person sleeps with? Shouldn't we pay more attention to what this person does good for the people around him/her.

MILK is definetely one of the best of the year, if not the best. It's got some competition with some of the other Eastwood movies, butprobably the best in my book.

I agree, I just watched it today. very moving regardless of how you may feel about the Gay Rights Issue. He was someone that decided to make a difference in his life and the rest of society. The characters are well acted out and the stock footage of the real events and times is excellent to provide a real backdrop to the film. Is a shame that some elements in the gay Rights Movement now have forgotten how hard their pioneers fought for the things they take for granted & now waste their power.

we all are humans so we all have human rights.....god gave us freewill.....is great that they showed the movie know i understand alot of things is only been 30 years..Live the movie milk and yes I hope this will be a wake up call to help some people not to take life or anything for granted....by the way I just saw the movie Frost/Nixon..the same obout miss use of power...is like in some way..we are been reminded....right/wrong

i think it will go for the technical awards (Best Sound, Best Sound Editing, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects and Best Production Design). Maybe Best Original Score, Best Supporting Actor (Heath Ledger), and possibly Best Director. i dont think it will get nominated for Best Picture, though i could be wrong. since the critics gave it terrific reviews (except for Japan, didnt understand why it was good) and was tremendous at the box-office worldwide.

saying "Heath Ledger was amazing", and all very true. . . . i felt sorry for Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, being such underrated. there was so much hype, that i (unfortunately) thought it was a bit too much. i even felt sorry for Christian Bale, the title is called "The Dark Knight" not "The Killing Joke". everyone got an equal share on-screen time, and yet people dont realise other actors like Gary Oldman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and even Eric Roberts was great!!

as much i am a Batman fan, and The Dark Knight was incredible. the best Batman movie to date, and a damn good film in general. but it was a bit too over-hyped. i remember not everyone wanted to go see it. only those who seen Batman Begins, and enjoyed it wanted to see it. then (tragically) Heath Ledger died in January, and then suddenly all the Ledger fans and everyone else wanted to go see it.
