What model of Gigabyte is that and do you have ram issues (does it cover the slots) or its just close but still ok?

if you change the position if the cooler to 90 degree anti clockwise does the temps change.

Yes the lateral cover is closed and between a cover and a cooler there is a backlash where that 3см.
