  • I thought this movie was a dream, for years. I'd describe it to friends who all thought I was crazy. Finally, after a lot of research, I found it was real. Finding out it was a real movie was as surreal as trying to remember it, because - as you said - everybody seems to think it was a dream.

  • My strongest memory, by the way, is the kids finding the invisible string with a kind of dowsing rod/string detector they made out of cloth tied around a stick. So weird.

  • I just watch your intro bro, "HEY GUYS" lol

  • In 1990 when I first saw "The Peanut Butter Solution" on video, I also saw a mystery story called "Mystery on Fire Island". It starred 'Blanche' from the Golden Girls, two kids, and some mysterious diver that was smuggling paintings rolled up in his pretend SCUBA tank. There was another about some treasure hunt where some kids find an old map that leads them to a beach, where they dig up an old bell and some underground stairs, then find the treasure. Does anyone recall these two movies?

  • Dude, if Celine Dion did the music, and it came out in Canada--it's FRENCH CANADIAN!!!!

  • he was playing soccer, not baseball!

  • @goldeybombers That is correct.

  • damn memories.... I remember thinking the younger sister was so much older than me I'm 24

  • I loved that movie.

  • Man I remember this movie and yeah it was a strange film indeed. I remember my uncle buying it for me in a old vhs case awhile back probably early 90's.

  • I thought that I was the only one who saw this movie!!!

  • I'm so glad you reviewed this freaky movie. For a while there, I wasn't sure if this film was just a bad dream or not. The images from it haunted me, especially when the little boy is lying in the hair harvesting machine....

  • La Fete is a Montreal based film company; they have a website that lists the Peanut Butter Solution as one of their works.

I'm not sure if the film is dubbed; it doesn't seem to be ... anyway, I have never seen the peanut butter solution, but I recognize a number of their other films as having been played on Canadian cable T.V. (superchannel, etc). Some of them are very surreal and generally "strange" ... French sensibility?

  • yup i thought i have dreamt this. nightmares for decades about abandoned buildings and kidnappings.

  • Great review! Yes! The Celine music is incredible.!!

  • your scary as fuck

  • lol i just watched this on google videos, and thought it was genious!

  • Hey people! It's available on ebay ranging from 24 to 38 dollars.... most of which have run out of time and are available for Buy It Now.

  • Oh damn. Not on dvd.

  • I feel cool because I HAVE heard of it. Yes! Erin for the win! --except I haven't seen it so I'm not actually special at all. *Netflix*

  • I need to see this. I had a similar dream experience with (maybe) 80s kung fu movie Prodigal Son. I was so jizztatic when I found it.

  • you can watch it on watch-movies-links (dot net)

i'm pretty sure. i mean, last time i checked it was there.

  • I say it's time for a remake... "The Nutella Solution"

  • Comment removed

  • wow. i think i've seen this!

i need to go watch it now to see if it is what i'm remembering....

  • OMG, I saw this as a kid, lol.

  • I've gotta see this one. I've heard this one so much this last year.

  • ugh there's this one movie i remember seeing as a child but I can never remember the name. There's this group of people and they are stranded on an island. I think there was a giant and pizza trees....I think it was on the Disney Channel...if anyone can tell me the name of it, I will love you FOREVER!!!

  • "Magic Island." You know if you google the key words that you remember, you'll most likely find the movie. I just typed in "pizza tree."

  • I totally own this film, it was soooo creepy as a child. We always used to rent this and rent the gnomobile at the same time... weird useless trivia

  • Third try.. my reply isn't taking for some reason. but if you go to google video, you can watch the entire movie on there. just search for the title, and it should be the 2nd result.

  • I love your voice!!! haha

  • I saw this movie when I was really young too and it must have unsettled me...because I still remember parts of it pretty vividly. It is like a dream.

Another one I distinctly remember is Batteries Not Included.

  • I just saw it. Turns out an old video store had it. I loved it. Thanks

  • i have heard about this, but i don't know where

  • It's sounds very french...!

  • Holy cow!!!! I haven't heard about this movie since I was like 8

  • the whole film is on google video

  • Hm, never heard of the movie. I've definitely experienced that before though, where I thought I dreamed a movie. Sounds pretty cool.

  • HOLY SHIT! I remember this money! Little me loved this movie. AWESOME! I did think it was a dream!

  • omg im going to see it!

  • the whole movie is on Google Video!!!!

  • i totally agree with that whole seeing a movie as a kid and not being able to remember the title.

Like I remember one where these animated two kids like run away to the circus or something and have to sign a contract with blood and there is this clown who likes pancakes or waffles and the bad guy has a screw for an eye and at they end his pet ravens peck at him and stuff and all that is left is his eye

If anyone has seen that and knows the title please tell me.

  • That's "We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story" from 1993.

  • Thanks a bundle!

  • I won it!

I watch movies from the 1990's now, like cartoons and such and now realize how bizzare and dark they are.

Make one of your next vids about movies you don't remember the title of. Maybe us 'little people' can help. XCould happen.

  • @PuppyZwolle The series that "the peanut butter solution" is apart of is called "Tales for all" (or Contes pour tous), it's a french canadian series of films produced by La Fete, a film company based in Montreal. It's basically a children/family series. Some of them are strange fantasies, like this film is.
