  • Novice village strikes again im sad that this guy is trying to represent a percussionist

  • His up position is taller than me... :DDDD

  • Umm.. Those are triple stroke rolls. :/

  • @brandonbear1 ...also known as french rolls.

  • @zombiesrcuming4u I have never seen a rudiment sheet ANYWHERE, that has triple strokes written as french rolls.

  • @brandonbear1 Oh. I was talking about what he was actually doing. I haven't taken music theory yet.

  • @zombiesrcuming4u Still he's doing the triple stroke rudiment. I have yet to see a rudiment sheet that has triple strokes as french rolls.

  • this dude looks gay

  • his triple strokes are better than his doubles lol

  • HIS SNARE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @wanni00 It's called a marching snare.

  • @Keelan911

    It has snare guts

    It's a snare

  • @VMFA115Starloric duh I know. its a marching snare. yes its a snare, but it is a MARCHING snare.

  • @Keelan911

It's a snare. Yes, it's a marching snare, but it's a snare. You're not gonna call it a marching snare every single time

  • @VMFA115Starloric I know but he was acting like he didnt know what a marching snare is and that it was some kind of amazing snare, so i said to him, its a marching snare.

  • A good excercise is doing double and triple taps into your pillow

  • The "up" position? Use arm?! Wtf

  • @cdmouse9 those things do exist. but im not saying this guy is good haha

  • where do they find these idiots?

  • its kind of funny that he says "your really gonna wanna find a drill that can help you develop your triplet beat"

If you are such an expert, why dont you show us an exercise?

  • hehe :D you got him there! :D

  • heres the deal. bluedev791 is correct. a more accurate name would be the triple stroke roll. i personally have never heard it called a french roll nor do i really care. WHAT IT IS NOT is a triplet roll. To say it was a triplet roll you would have to know the tempo to decide whether he is playing 3 beats in the space of 2. Just like it is easy to say its a triplet roll, someone else could say its sixlets. It could be a variety of different tuplets or notes. it all has to relate to the tempo tho

  • theres many names

  • It could be called a triplet roll....

The name that makes the most sense here would be a triple stroke roll. "french roll" is a slang term which is accepted by many rudimental drummers. Usually a triplet roll is played as a double stroke roll with a triplet base. Hope I helped.

  • nope a triplet is a 4stroke with an extra tap at the end

  • That waz sweet
